Maybe make sure you're not taking a lot of zinc without copper? The thinking is that if zinc intake is too high, that causes the copper to drop. So would, theoretically at least, need to take or consume in foods more copper to correct the imbalance in the rstio of the two to correct the copper deficiency. (And too low copper is said to be among the causes or contributors to graying of the hair.)
Or more simply, if taking zinc supplements, just stop them or decrease dose &/or frequency - unless there's some bona fide reason that you need zinc supplements. Then might not need copper - and always need to be careful to avoid too much copper supplementation or can have serious problems!
Many started taking zinc during covid to help prevent against covid or other viruses taking hold. Possibly it's time to turn back the clock to pre-covid times and maybe just take during cold season or if feels like a cold is coming on or take just a couple times a week if not adequate in diet.
Some people have commented to various posts that the above helped them regain their hair color. No guarantee, but at least copper doesn't cost much and may even save some $ if you simply drop zinc.
Btw, some say to take Zinc and & copper at same time (& even make combo capsules containing both); others say to take them at separate times. Not sure which is right, or if possibly it doesn't even matter. Maybe try one way and if that works, great; if not, switch.
Probably best to just try a plan for a bit but forget about results until say 3 months later (sooner if bad results become obvious) and just enjoy life otherwise in the meantime. Cheers!

It's not necessarily for nothing. For all you know, you've slowed down the rate at which you're going gray. In reality, there's no way to know lol. There's no proven way to reverse gray hair. One of the main things you can do is to ensure you're not micronutrient deficient.

This may not be the cause for everyone but for me my grey hair is a result of chronic inflammation from autoimmune disease, whatever is causing inflammation your body will rob the melanocytes from your skin and hair and direct them to your vital organs as melatonin is a potent antioxidant, the body will prioritise. Address the inflammation, heal the issues and the white spots on your skin will gradually fade and your hair colour may slowly return. This is what's happening to me at age 60. I used to be a brunette, became blonde as I aged, now I have golden red pigments shining through my hair all over as my issues are healing up.

      @carystus675 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

@chrystale888 That is an interesting observation, if it holds up to scrutiny. About the proposed causal relation, I understand from your post that melanocytes would migrate towards tissue in need of melatonin, in order to produce the needed melatonin there. If melanocytes are allowed to return, they will produce melatonin in the skin, thereby effecting a return of color, is that a good summation?

Besides, I’m in my 40s and still have all my red hair and look very young. Try not wasting your smen and keeping it inside you so that your body can age slower and use your energy for better things.

I'm nearly 58 and virtually no grey hair and for those I have suggested it to over the years, amazing results. Its of course wise to use proper forms and balance that with proper zinc forms among other things but a great place to start your research and hair color change. :)

    Understanding Hair Growth and Aging
00:00 Hair growth shifts from the head to other areas like the nose and ears due to unknown reasons, possibly linked to evolutionary changes.
00:15 An evolutionary program from when humans were hairier could explain why stem cells still grow thick hair in unwanted areas.
00:27 Changes in the DNA structure, specifically the epigenome, are part of the aging process, leading to hair growth in unusual places.
00:41 This phenomenon is due to parts of ancient genetic code becoming accessible due to the unraveling of histones.
Actionables: Consider methods to slow down aging to prevent or delay such hair growth. -- Evolutionary program, stem cells, epigenome, aging process, ancient genetic code, histones.
    The Reversibility of Graying Hair
01:10 Slowing down aging could potentially delay or prevent graying hair, which is accelerated by stress among other factors.
01:22 Stress is a known accelerator of both aging and graying hair, but recent research suggests gray hair might be reversible.
01:49 Epigenetic effects are responsible for the reversibility of gray hair, indicating a potential for recovery in early phases of graying.
Actionables: Explore stress reduction techniques and investigate early interventions for graying hair. -- Graying hair, psychological stress, epigenetic effects.
    Hair Repigmentation Research
03:29 Research in mice using cyclosporin A, minoxidil, and a pigment promoting drug shows potential for hair repigmentation.
03:57 The compound tacus, similar to Romy (Camus), has been identified as effective in extending lifespan and inhibiting mtor, a protein complex responsive to fasting.
04:53 The combination of cyclosporin A for mitochondrial activity, minoxidil for improved blood flow, and a fasting-mimicking drug offers a promising approach for hair repigmentation.
Actionables: Monitor developments in hair repigmentation research for potential future treatments. -- Cyclosporin A, minoxidil, pigment promoting drug, tacus, Romy (Camus), mtor, mitochondrial activity, fasting-mimicking drug.
Future Prospects in Hair and Aging Research
06:00 Addressing aging upstream can impact individual aging-related problems, including hair issues.
06:26 Lessons learned from reversing skin aging and rejuvenating hair could apply to other organs, suggesting a holistic approach to aging.
07:10 The vision for future treatments includes pills that could not only make one younger but also regrow and darken hair.
Actionables: Stay informed about holistic aging treatments that could offer benefits beyond hair repigmentation. -- Aging pathway, skin aging, holistic approach, rejuvenating effects.

I shave my beard and my hair in all places of my body- because I don't like hair and it is very practical when you are bald😄. A month ago I didn't shave my beard for 3 weeks or so and I noticed that some of my hair are already grey- I'm 42 years young😉. But yeah, stress does it's bad work not only for hair color, but for a skin too. And the food we take daily, the quality of food. We eat too much of refined food, too much of white sugar. And we don't sleep enough. That is what kill people and aging too fast. Greetings from Lithuania🌳🌲🌲

Yes we do know why hair grows in these other places, it’s the direct effect of the conversion of Testosterone to DHT. DHT being the more potent androgen kills the hair follicles on the scalp but its presence accelerates hair growth where we don’t necessarily want it. Plus this doctor has clearly coloured his hair, I’m a barber and I can see that obviously his hair is not natural. What a misleading podcast 🤦‍♀️

Whenever the body goes through a stressful period, such as losing a lot of fat very quickly, which can happen with fasting or keto, it can trigger the normal process of hair loss to pick up speed. So, for example, people lose a certain number of hairs per day and it goes through a process of loss and growing back. Well, when the body is stressed, it can accelerate the number of hairs to fall out at one time. But it still goes through the normal hair growth process, unless there’s another issue. When I first started keto and fasting, I started to lose a lot more hair at the 3 month mark (which is typically when it happens), but then it all came back and was thicker than ever.

David SinCLAIRE recently hyped a study of his, claiming that his proprietary supplement reversed aging in dogs. This led to professor Matt Kaeberlein and the former Dean of Harvard medical school, professor Jeffrey Heffer to make public statements against David Sinclair, Matt Kaeberlein states that after careful consideration I’ve pronounced my membership in the Academy for health and lifespan research for which Davidson SinCLAIRE is the president. I find it deeply distressing that we’ve gotten to a point with dishonesty and sides is normalized to such an extent that nobody is shocked when a 10 Harvard professor falsely proclaim in a pre-statement that the product is selling to pet owners has reversed aging in dogs. To me This is textbook, definition of snake oil Salesman.
