Are worried the speed is not fast enough ? factor loads are 1400 fps plus for steel . 1200 fps a ok lead speed but for steel it’s a little slow . I’m also trying to figure out a good steel long shot load but having trouble with the wad , I don’t care for the mg42 wad , worked my load up to 26 grain long shot 1400fps or so for 1 once steel load , not a great group tho . Haul looks fine after fired . I Need better wad I think .
I am good with the speeds. Just need the ducks a little closer. I like the LBC 50 and TPS wads. MG 42 is ok, but I think the biggest load for steel is 1oz.
22gn Longshot and you can load up to 23gn Longshot. TPS1275 wad from ballistic products. Any steel size works. I have been testing #5 and crossman BB’s. All in a cheddite or federal hull.
