I mean Amazon has Ravnica Remastered collector box at $263 as of me writing so not sure why TCG player or other places are trying to sell it for 300 or more. Or pretending it's scarce.
The good sign they are scarce is when amazon has none left. Like you ain't finding fallout collector boxes on there and they quickly disappeared meanwhile RR has been sat there for a while not really getting more expensive.

Return to Ravnica Collector boxes are only selling at $285 or less online on eBay... none of those other higher priced listing ones are selling

I have not seen a single collector booster box move up in price after its initial 6 month release. In that 6 months it is a gamble wether it goes up or tanks. If it is good on release it will correct to its higher price before the release even happens or before you can even notice a trend, so you have to speculate and gamble on each purchase on release. If the release is good then your order will probably get canceled if you are buying it at msrp, and will have to buy at the new price. Profits cannot be made on mtg in its current state. I'm still holding, but in the mean time may I introduce you people to pokemon? Every box for the last 20 years has gone up regardless of how strong the release was. Mtg is like paying a hedge fund to hold onto your money, and pokemon is like buying the s and p 500 on your own.

What if it doesn’t crash but just doesn’t really go up? Magic built 30ish years of a good track record and destroyed it in 2. There was a lot of original collectors who are now out that had large amounts of discretionary income that aren’t coming back. They need to keep print runs low and I don’t think hasbro has the stomach to keep it as low for as long as it will take. Cocks is going to want to see his stock go up before he is out. They are still printing way to many products more sets than ever with secret lairs on top. Secret lairs are probably a better buy than any set. But I hope things do turn around some day.

fell off of magic for a good while missed all these newer sets but i did but 2 collector packs or ravnica couple months ago and pulled a serialized godless shrine so i said im done with ravnica. also eldraine, bought 3 packs and pulled smothering tithe confetti foil

Lol we’re at such a different point in MTG since this time last year…
everything is way to expensive and its not sustainable. the more you ratchet the prices higher and higher the less people will be able to buy it. I've had to opt out of buying magic boxes for the last 3 years because its not affordable and a new set releases monthly. to much is to much.

Reprint sets aren't "historical" it's Hasbro extracting money from the secondary market.
