How broken really is Tsukishima's Book of the End? How does it compare to some of the other most powerful, reality-warping powers of the series? Let me know your thoughts down below - thanks everyone!
I think the weakness of Book of The End is much like being an author. One sentence change per target is okay, two sentences is pushing it, and three risks losing the reader.
Tsukishima has the literal ability of fanfiction..........can you imagine how severely more broken he'd have been if his fullbring had been enhanced by ichigos???

If there is an alternate scenario where yhwach return to kill ichigo after he used his Almighty on his bankai then see tsukishima and orihime trying to fix ichigo bankai with their ability yhwach can easily break it again. Tsukishima and Orihime is far outmatch by yhwach reiatsu input making them null, but if both of them try to face off against yhwach then both of them clashing their book of the end and shun shun rikka will easily be overwhelm by yhwach Almighty.
I hate tsukishima. I hate time bullshit that can utterly fuck me. It's a damning ability that will kill me, I can't handle time shit. But he's human so a 45acp will do the trick.

@@stryperwolf1723 I feel like he could've fixed it hut that would've taken more time since he would need to deepen his powers with Book of the End.... probably.

@@thepieofyourlife4799Given that book of the end amplifies his abilities based on the story he has crafted, I don't see why he can't just make himself a healer in the past. The power literally made him a fighter capable of battling and beating Byakuya
I love that it is a bookmark. Like how a reader uses a bookmark to append a story, Tsukishima observes people and their bonds as words on a page for him to read and insert himself
Yh while people and objects represent books, tsukishima represents the book mark and when he cuts something it's like he is inserting himself in the targets story till the present.
Even after growing past being the person who'd kill his wife's sister in a heartbeat, his most important mentor was still just a few steps away from being a valid kill target. If Tsukishima altered his past so he was both Rukia and the mentor character, I wonder what would happen? Would Byakuya punch an evil Rukia through the chest with a fistful of razor blades if it meant protecting Ichigo? Maybe..
@ThermiteKitty hard to tell, tsuki made himself the tutor because he probably saw byakuya as someone who would value discipline and pride above all else so the tutor would make sense not only that but he needed to match byakuya's strength and rukia wouldn't be able to do that, so I guess in the end it was a good thing that byakuya was always so good at mascarading his feelings for rukia.
Book of the end is one of the most comically overpowered abilities I’ve ever seen, specifically because of the reality defying “I trained you, and therefore am now just as strong as you” aspect. That’s just ridiculous.
I still want a fan project to redraw all of Bleach's openings and endings and keep everything the same, save for Tsukishima being inserted there, posing with everyone else like he was always part of the hero cast.
Man this is strange, I remember seeing my uncle Tsukishima when I was young, kinda weird there is a bleach video about a guy who looks exactly like him and has the exact same name
Strange, but a pleasant surprise. A regular fan deciding to fill in for Tsukishima’s TH-cam uploads was a surprise, but a welcome one. I’m sure he very much appreciates a dedicated fan’s support of his channel. Tommo must be a pretty stand up guy to help out like that.
Book of the End is one of my favorite abilities in all of Bleach. It is seemingly simple, but the scope and near limitless potential it has, makes it a truly terrifying power.
I was so happy Byakuya beat this sob. Best part Tsukishima’s ability did work, but Byakuya is more loyal to Ichigo. Wish we could say the same for Chad and Orahime
Yeah, I can totally understand Byakuya killing Tsukishima despite the manipulated past because it's in-character for him. But Chad and Orihime siding with him over Ichigo always rubbed me the wrong way. Especially considering that Chad is his best friend and Orihime is in love with him and have gone through so much together.
@@kevintanza6968 Tsukashima took points from their dead loved ones and some of Ichigo's interactions with them and basically reassigned those plot points to him.
@@kevintanza6968except Tsukishima manipulates them more than Byakuya. He is Chad’s abulo the most important person to him and replaces Orihime’s brother and then replaces Ichigo because she calls Tsukishima the man she has always loved.
I remember watching this arc with my uncle and we both really liked the concept of book of the end, it really is a simple idea with a practically limitless amount of potential and I honestly believe almost any other captain would have stood nearly no chance in Byakuya's position not due to a lack of power but because Byakuya really does just seem to be a whole different type of stubborn for better and for worse. Honestly still so grateful to my uncle Tsukishima for introducing me to bleach.
Kenpachi, Unohana, Mayuri, Kyouraku and Yamamoto wouldn't even think twice before before killing Tsukushima. They're not the type of people to doubt themselves, in a fight, even if it was against someone they admire.
@@MaxIronsThird Absolutely disagree. Mayuri, Kyoraku and Kenpachi all for their own reasons practically never go all out for the kill right out of the gate (don't even act like Kenpachi has literally asked his opponent to take the first swing before). Unohana we just don't see her in enough fights for me to feel confident on, but as a diehard Unohana fan I would be hopeful she could handle Tsukishima. As for Yama I think it's probably fair to say he would be just as much, if not more, of a match as Byakuya.
@@windhelmguard5295Tsukishima: "Im your sensei, and you literally tried to use those abilities on me and we determined they dont work, therefore you are defeated by default"
Apparently one of the weaknesses of Book of the End is that can't affect animals, Grimmjow or anyone who wants to kill him at the moment because if they want to kill him, they will still want to kill him despite his ability to himself insert into their memories. This information was revealed in Volume 2 of CFYOW.
That’s a bullshit weakness because he used it on the floor during the byakuya fight, they just needed a reason why he wouldn’t beat everyone single-handed
@@matt8258 I think he also pretty physically weak, given if hadn't use Book of the End on Orihime and Chad earlier, he would have lost their fight because Chad physically dominated him with no real effort.
I love Book of the End as an ability, it’s extremely ridiculous and powerful but makes sense and has its weaknesses, it’s OVERPOWERED done right, unlike The Almighty.
Yhwach is god. It's fair that the almighty was overpowered enough to be only be defeated by yhwach himself, a power from the soul king or someone with such power. The Almighty is overpowered done right imo
How isn't The All Mighty overpowered done right? It's literally MADE to be overpowered because it depicts Yhwach's cowardice and fear of death, using an ability as petty and unfair as The All Mighty.
@@joaquincortescasas8114 Of course its subjective whether or not you agree with how The Almighty was used narratively. IMO The Almighty was too ludicrous, even with the soul kings power supposed to make it believable. I feel as if they should have made it just be allowed to see the future, not change it. It became TOO HIGH of a mountain to climb,. I do like how it was defeated though with Uryu's Antithesis not allowing the Almighty see his future trajectory and using the silburn arrow to strip it away just long enough for Ichigo to put him down. edit: Fixed spelling mistakes
@@medinamojo If you feel like the almighty was too ludicrous. Yeah, that's the point. Ichigo's entire journey has been going against the odds. To have a blade strong enough to shatter fate. The execution of Rukia The kidnapping of Orihime The defeat of Aizen. Ginjo's betrayal. All of these times, the odds were stacked against Ichigo, and he managed to overcome despair. Directly quoting Yhwach: "Ichigo. It is true that you have faced despair and conquered it by changing the future many times in the past. Do you know why you were able to accomplish this? *It is because I was not there* " Yhwach was made from the start to be the final antagonist of Bleach. Therefore, his powers must challenge the perception of our protagonist
It nice seeing people appreciate uncle Tsukishima, he is such a great person, I still remember when I finally realize how much of a waste of oxygen I am and when I was about to unalive my self again after fail previous attempts uncle Tsukishima was there to help me.
Tsukishima was hands down the best part of the fullbring arc. And honestly one of the best and most horrifying villains in all of bleach. Definitely in my top 3. Book of the End is terrifying, he can destroy your whole life without ever meeting you. The ability to alter memories is scary enough, but to alter reality and insert yourself as the most important person in someones life to the point where even your own family turns against you is insanely terrifying and deeply unhinged. The despair Ichigo felt because of this guy was so real, more real than any other time Ichigo has been down, he had never been that low before, even after losing his soul reaper powers. And I loved every second of it, and wish we got more, but Im happy we got what we did. Kubo gave us one of the scariest villains in all of anime, he's the ultimate gaslighter. And in any other show this guy would be a huge big bad or even the main villain and talked about as more than just a passing villian in a what most people consider a sub par arc(I dont, personally I think its one of Kubos best). and I dont think Kubo gets enough credit for creating such a monster.
So, it was confirmed that Tsukishima’s power can affect physical matter when he fixed Ichigo’s Zanpakuto. That makes me wonder what the Book of The End’s real limits are. I mean, what happens if he cuts a woman and changes her past so she had a child with him. Would that child suddenly pop into existence? Or is straight-up creating life beyond Tsukishima’s grasp?
Tsukishima kind of sold the Byakuya fight. If he had the power to not just insert himself into your past but actually usurp the position of someone who actually existed, then the fact Byakuya’s loyalty to Ichigo ran so deep it was more important than the life of Tsukishima (Byakuya’s supposed mentor who saved his life) he could have simply written himself *as* Ichigo and Byakuya would have had all the same loyalty to Tsukishima instead of that orange haired stranger outside the pocket dimension. That might imply a limitation to Book of the End, maybe he can see all the memories of someone he cuts but that doesn’t necessarily mean he fully understands the emotions and nuances of them? He cut all those people close to Ichigo and knew he was important to them, but maybe didn’t realize just how deep those bonds run?
Or there are certain things in the past he cannot change or rewrite without undoing the person. Orihime activated her powers fighting her brother's Hollow, he could not replace her brother and she still have her powers
@@readermike8355 a few points. 1) she didn’t awaken her powers with her brother, her powers came out a little afterwards against a hollow that was attacking some of her friends. 2) Tsukishima did actually rewrite himself *as* her brother, at the same time that he rewrote himself *as* Chad’s grandfather. They both started collapsing from the mental strain shortly afterwards, but I read that more as they were mentally breaking because they were starting to fight back against viewing Ichigo as their enemy and Tsukishima was bending them too much too fast back to his side.
Book of the End would be even more broken, if the events and lore of the third movie were canon... if you all remember, in that movie ALL MEMORIES are CONNECTED, that means that when Tsukishima alters someones past, their memories would be changed as well and that would in turn effect everyone connected to that person, making ALL of them remember Tsukishima being the person he claims to be... and in doing so, he would only have to cut ONE person connected to Soul Society, Quincy, Humans and Hollow to effect them all... and if he cut Ichigo, than he would effect everyone in the series... at least later on, after he has met the Quincy... it would be INSANELY BROKEN, not that it isn't already...
The way this power works is pretty confusing. It's a simple concept, but so many things are unclear. Let's say, if Tsukishima were to cut a Sternritter and claim he was the one who granted them their Schrift, would this make Tsukishima gain the powers of Yhwach since this would be the requirement for him to be able to have done what he claims he did in their past?
@@0eyes If this was the case, wouldn't he have been no match for Byakuya? Just knowing everything about him would not have been enough to actually fight him. Nothing before their encounter suggested he was even close to his equal. He clearly not only was perceived as the person he claimed he was, he was as strong as a teacher of Byakuya would have had to be. Now, he clearly did not become a Shinigami, even though this would make the most sense for his story to be accurate, so it could be that he can only change himself to an extend that is somewhat reachable, though even that could be up for debate. The gap he cleared against Byakuya was already enormous.
My best guess is that it functions somewhat similarly to the Hogyoku; in the sense that Tsukishima's ability can self-elevate his own strength to make the conditions of the lie that he creates be believable, but only if he actually has the potential to achieve that power himself. If he doesn't, then nothing happens.
In the same vein, if Tsukishima somehow is able to sneak up on Yhwach and use the Book of the End (BotE) on him and declares "Yhwach has never had the almighty", then would Yhwach's powers go away?
The past is immutable and unchanging, while the future is yet to be written. Nothing Yhwach could do, short of killing him, would be able to trump Tsukishima's abilities. It funny that for all the hyping up of how Godly the Soul King and his progeny are, man still comes out on top.
@@ericx6969If only because Tsukishima would never get the opportunity to cut Yhwach. If Tsukishima did get that chance to cut Yhwach (or really any of the Zero Division) he could just change the past and replace the role of Yhwach's father, the Soul King, and all the power that comes with that.
Also the fact that this ability also underminded the Almighty as well. For a brief time. That is what really makes it broken for me. To rewrite what a god did is no small accomplishment
I never really had a problem with the power boosting aspect of Book of the End, just because it intuitively made sense to me. Just as an example for the real world version, if I suddenly had the memories and experiences and instincts honed from 5 years sparring with a prime Muhammad Ali (without the CTE that would cause hopefully). I think I would be way better at boxing than I was beforehand. And obviously that would be scaled way up for someone like Tsukishima who's doing it to Byakuya, gotta be at least a hundred years old.On the low side that's like 60 years of combat memories he got access to. Trained by his grandfather and we know at least taught some things by yoruichi. so he probably has knowledge on how those techniques work too, etc etc.
I’ve often interpreted it as Tsukishima having to actually instantaneously insert himself like a 4th dimensional being into the past, playing out the sum total of his imposed time, which for him lives between the moment he makes contact and the moment the power has taken hold. For me it’s the only way the crazy amount of requisite information wouldn’t destroy his mind. He experiences everything required at normal pace, inserted like a time traveller but with the added power to replace someone instead of just show up if he desires. Then those times he imposes more later, he essentially goes back in again the moment before he makes the statement.
The only way for his power to possibly work is that he creates a completely new moldable reality with every slash, basically breaking off pieces of the real world and implanting false realities where they once were. Then when he cuts them again he just puts it back together
I think a tsukichima vs kenpachi fight would low key be kind of hilarious if you think about it. He cuts kenpachi and makes himself an old friend. Kenpachi just keeps trying to fight him cuz he doesn't care who you are to him. He just wants to fight strong people. Could get some look of fear on his face as he realizes "oh I done fucked up" lol
Tsukishima would power up to match Kenpachi (because they regularly spar of course), but this being a fight to the death, Kenpachi would put in more effort than normal. The only way Tsukishima could win would be to try to replace Unohana or Yachiru in his past and cause a mental breakdown. Though, Kenpachi might just stop thinking and keep fighting.
You should make a video about this for Toshiro. Also a Rukia vs Toshiro battle video would be nice, same for Starrk vs Ulquiorra. Lastly rank all of Byakuya’s battles worse to best
Toshiro would win simply as he has more experience with his bankai. Given the same experience level, I do think Rukia's comes out on top. If she learned how to utilize her Bankai without the double-edged sword limitation, it will be incredibly OP.
I actually think that Kenpachi is an awful matchup. Especially at that time. He just wouldve made Kenpachi stronger. The entire point is that Kenpachi had been holding himself back in fear of not finding more challengers. If Tsukashima had inserted himself into the past to be a partner that would constantly one up Kenpachi then who knows what wouldve happened. Because Kenpachis strength is near limitless.
I don't know why Ywhach didn't consider this guy a special threat. His ability could have really messed Ywhach up. Maybe not be able to outright kill him but it still could still cause him a good amount of damage especially if his past and memories are being manipulated with.
He’s actually the strongest because his sword allows him to collect information. He could make up a time line where his opponent told him the ultimate weakness of tie their power.
From the way i understood book of the end was always on the concept of the bookmark When he slashes you, your life becomes a book he reads, and then inserts his bookmark into, therfore changing the narrative. That change does break reality though because that would be the only way he caused physical changes on the floor with byakuya and fixing zangetsu So why doesn't he just cut someone and kill them in the past?
Probably their is a un spoken limit like he can't kill people or erase them. Just reaching, but it also explains why Ginjo didn't give Tsukishima Ichigo's powers, as who knows what limitations can be broken.
Kubo: "Alright, I've made a final arc villain who ties into Ichigo and Uryu's family histories, who has powers that can warp reality like Orihime and Aizen, who has a grudge against the noble families including Yoruichi's, Rukia's/Byakuya's, and Ganju's. Now all I need is to connect the story of Ichigo's Fullbringer best friend, -Chad. Maybe something with his amulet...- Tsukishima: BOOK OF THE END!! Kubo: Right, this arc needs more of EVERYBODY'S best friend, the supporting villain from that one arc.
Being able to change 1/3 of the time itself is no joke. Changing the past is just as broken as changing future but even more broken because he know the present (the future of the past) while yhwach doesn't know theend future because future has no future itself unless it happens
Yesss! A video about the best boy. Certainly one of my favourite characters in Bleach, right up there near the top. Absolutely adore the atmosphere Tsukishima generates all throughout the arc.
The combo of Tsukishima’s Book of the End creating new timelines and Aizen’s illusions making sure Ywhach was blind to the additions to the timeline is what enabled Uryu to even have an opening for that Still Silver to hard counter the Almighty. But yes, the creation of new timelines by inserting himself into the past is the exact mirror of Ywhach’s Almighty that rejects the past that leads to the current timeline. The two abilities are identical in all but one aspect (creation) or (rejection), both send their influence into the past to alter the possible timelines
Similarly Gremmy’s Visionary is the direct mirror of Orihime’s fairies. The creation of new realities in the present compared to the rejection of the present. It sure is a good thing that Gremmy sealed himself in his mind rather than returning to Yhwach in death, the Visionary would have turned him into an ever-expanding multiversal threat
If he did actually fight Kenny then it wouldn't matter how broken BotE is, because Kenny would still be like "oh? You're stronger than me? Then I just gotta get stronger as we fight" "Oh? You saved my life? So? I still wanna cut you" 😂
This is actually one of the things that i headcanon the Soul King let himself be cutted down... Book of the End was necessary to defeat Yhwach alongside Invaders Must Die and Dollhouse, so i think the SK let himself be killed to create the Fullbringers
*I kinda find one flaw to Tsukishima and his ability. How can he insert himself into someone's past if the person is older then Tsukishima is? He inserted himself into Byakuya's past to learn about Senbon Sakura's powers but Byakuya is considerably older than Tsukishima is.
The thing is with Book of the End that Tsukishima possibly could alter the past even that far that persons cease to exist, maybe even some unreal multifacette thing. So if he cut Ichigo and insert himself into his past could he cut in that past Ichigos mother and insert himself into her past making himself her lover instead of Isshin which would then let Ichigo simply disappear? Or in a simpler way if he cuts Orihime in the hell chapter, make himself her lover instead of Ichigo would Kazui end to exist? Ichigos restored bankai in TYBW or cutting the environment proves that physical changes of the reality are possible, so it would be the most broken ability, even more broken than the almighty
I think a cool and reasonable weakness that could be easy to see is that in order to fully get the details right and be a specific person in their memories Tsukishima would have to like be out of commission. He has to have tea time or something in order to “live out” the memories as it were. Otherwise it would be random memories and such.
I'm still feel like Book of the end was either SEVERELY UNDERUSED in the Lost Agent Arc or somewhat Retconned (stretch) in the TYBW, because, correct me if I'm mistaken, it originally inserts him into people's pasts without changing them. It felt similar to just changing people's memories rather than the past itself, like happens in the Lost Agent arc. HE DID change the past of a stone pillar to set a trap against Byakuya (Ch 468) But never used it on people before Ichigo (Ch 681) so I always thought he could only change the past of inanimate objects (He never gave a limit so it is sort of justified). Other wise: 1. Why wouldn't he change Ginjo's past or at least help get his Soul Reaper powers back without using Ichigo? 2. Why not save Ginjo and Giriko from becoming souls? (Not saving Ginjo from Ichigo since that was necessary but prevent them both from ACTUALLY DYING)? 3. Why not kill a past version of Byakuya, who ended up killing him? Maybe I'm overthinking/underthinking, maybe I forgot some information. I'm just someone on the internet. 🚪🚶♂️
I wonder if this ability edits spiritual level to match the role that he wishes to play in order to match an opponent who far out scales him. Or does it just effect his practical senses and mental skill in battle
Keeping Kenpachi memes about Giriko apart, 'Time tells no lies' is kinda broken too. He could have played a good role in TYBW. Makes me more curious about the 'Entity of Time' and it's relation to SK.
Tsukushima being able to produce a power like Book of the End is cool. After all the times Chad, Ishida and Orihime were made to look like chumps compared to the Captains and highest rank Espadas, a human with a power of their own that places them at the top of the heap without needing to just have Shinigami or Hollow Powers was great to see.
I don’t think Book of the End can really alter the past like Almighty where it just magically changes the future. I think it is more like a “What if I was there?” scenario, meaning it will only align with the situation of “What if he was there?”. Like the traps, that is the most basic situation, what if he was there? Then he could’ve placed them. As for the Byakuya situation, it only makes sense that his strength would equal Byakuya because he too would get stronger if they train and spar multiple times (Which he did state that they did spar). He can’t become the Soul King if he touches Ywach because even if he is there, he doesn’t and can’t “realistically” do it even if he was in that past. He can’t become some OP healer because it isn’t part of his kit, meaning even if he becomes Unohana’s teacher when it comes to healing, it’d be simply just guidance rather than “I will teach you healing skills”. I don’t recall any time he ever did anything that he did in the past that he can’t realistically do under the conditions of “What if I was there?”. I think this is just how Book of the End works, a "What if I was there?" situation instead of pure 100% past reality manipulation, else he would've beaten everyone just by virtue of becoming the Yamamoto of their lives.
However one's feel about the overall of Fullbringer arc, Tsukishima is one of the best addition to Bleach universe, and we can still see his influence in Bleach community memes.
The way you've described it, he doesn't actually affect reality, he just affects the targets perception of their past reality. If inserting himself into Chad's past also affected Orihime's past without cutting her, then he would actually have affected reality
It's really cool that the story could take a character as powerful as Tsukishima and make him fit in a much more lowkey story than the Arrancar arc. This is like if Barragan was retooled to be an shadowy stalker hiding in alleyways pouncing on prey rather than a dramatic wall to be overcome he was used as. Heck let's take it all the way, Tsukishima is like if Ichigo and Soul Society was dealing with Aizen from Everything but the Rain instead of after he fused with a McGuffin and formed an army.
I always wonder what would have happened if Tsukishima battled Kenpachi instead....it surely would have been a battle that Kenpachi would have loved... because if he was a mentor to Kenpachi, then i assure you Kenpachi must have been fantasizing about being able to cut Tsukishima down ... basically his powers would have done nothing but get Zaraki excited 🤣🤣🤣
Yhwach has a weakness to any ability that tricks his eyes or vision. If Yhwach can't see his opponent, then he can't "alter" their future with his Almighty eyes. Powerful illusion casters or reality bending Shinigami probably could mess with him.
I wonder though, if Kenpachi was to fight Tsukishima if he COULD cut Kenpachi. You have to be captain level to have a good chance of making it past his spiritual pressure in the first place. While book of the end is powerful enough to be Captain class, Tsukishima isnt told to be particularly powerful on his own without a past to rewrite. The cop out I suppose could be that he cuts the spiritual pressure itself, but I doubt Kubo would have tried that after the whole Aizen double tapped with suzimabachi from Soi Fon "I simply crushed the spiritual pressure with my own". I think often times Kenpachi is a "okay stories over" device in his own right, look at all the movies that have him be lost or written out for awhile. But Tsukishima especially i think it would just be "what was that supposed to do? Die!" And over with for Kenpachi. On the other hand, a Kenpachi PLUS another captain fight would be extremely interesting I think, since he could cut the other captain to be able to cut kenpachi, and acceleration spiral from there.
in cfyow tokinada uses enrakyoten to create ryujin jakka flames and his stuck his bookmark into the flames and said they were extinguished seconds ago. he could manipulate the past up to the future but now he can affect the past to affect the present.
I’ve noticed a trend with Byakuya fights and it’d be cool to have a video on it. When he fights Zamari he gets his arm, leg, and Rukia turned against him thanks to the espada’s power. The espada even tries to control individual pedals. Byakuya fights Tsukeshima and he’s basically going against a former mentor. He fights As Nodt and his bankai gets turned against him. He fights Sternritter L the Love and Senbonzakura is turned against him. He even has to fight Senbonzakura in the zanpakuto rebellion arc. I’m noticing a pattern, does anyone else see it?
I wonder how all the fullbringers powers would translate into zanpakto if they became shinigami? Clearly Tsukishima kept his power after he died so would the two powers merge or stay separate? Heck would Rangiku have developed a fullbring if Aizen's goon hadn't taken her piece of the soul king?
Imagine if Tsukishima stabs the Soul King or the defeated Yhwach who is now put in the place of Soul King and he says he’s Yhwach’s sparring partner so his power must compete with the Almighty. Or he stabs Ichigo again and uses a similar clause to match Ichigo’s power level.

Almost like a SI fanfic writer
Yh while people and objects represent books, tsukishima represents the book mark and when he cuts something it's like he is inserting himself in the targets story till the present.
Yip he can insert himself into the stage(page) of your life.
Everybody in that arc: Noooo dont hurt cousin tsukishima 😢
Byakuya: trying to touch ichigo? An audacity punishable only by death 🗿
Hey, now! My brother Tsukishima is the absolute best at improv! Don't diss him like that.

Ironic how Tsukishima can make himself part of someone’s life when it’s clear no one wanted him in theirs.

Ginjou did, which is why Tsukishima pledged his loyalty to Ginjo

This would be fantastic, kind of a shame it hasn't happened yet.
Comedic genius if someone would do that! 😂😂

His power is basically gaslighting
Wait a minute…
Yeah and somehow it makes his powers even more cooler
Byakuya was willing to kill his sister, why would killing Tsukishima be that much of an issue.
@@0eyesdamn good point 😂😂😂😂
@@kevintanza6968 Tsukashima took points from their dead loved ones and some of Ichigo's interactions with them and basically reassigned those plot points to him.
@@kevintanza6968except Tsukishima manipulates them more than Byakuya. He is Chad’s abulo the most important person to him and replaces Orihime’s brother and then replaces Ichigo because she calls Tsukishima the man she has always loved.
Guys don’t you remember the time when Uncle Tsukishima saved an entire orphanage from burning down? He’s truly a kind person.
The fact that Tsukishima gains information about whoever he cuts by itself is already a powerful ability.
Yhwach: I control the future
Tsukishima: Can you control the past though?

Apparently one of the weaknesses of Book of the End is that can't affect animals, Grimmjow or anyone who wants to kill him at the moment because if they want to kill him, they will still want to kill him despite his ability to himself insert into their memories. This information was revealed in Volume 2 of CFYOW.
Pretty much why he lost against Byakuya. It was his duty to kill him so Byakuya cast his feelings aside.
@@kevintanza6968 Probably bits him in the ass often given his tendencies to be a smug prick to everyone.
Tsukishima: You're my friend

The execution of Rukia
The kidnapping of Orihime
The defeat of Aizen.
*It is because I was not there* "
Yhwach was made from the start to be the final antagonist of Bleach. Therefore, his powers must challenge the perception of our protagonist
And almighty has a weakness, the problem is that it's weakness is the the most busted shikai in bleach
Cousin Shu is just such a magnificent man. he's such a wonderful figure in my life, and he can never die. which is just so heartening
I can't believe you made a video about my brother. He truly is incredible and my life wouldn't be what it is if he wasn't around to help :D
If it can actually change the past, he could do that in theory.
Tsukishima went to a past to where Yhwach didn’t break it and Orihime rejected Ichigo’s zanpakuto being broken to that past.
I first read "straight up creating life" as "straight up gaslighting" and that made me laugh, interesting questions though
Good point, i can see that.🤔
Basically his own sociopathy is his weakness.
No Tsukishima wouldn’t have Yhwach’s power, he would just take the place of Yhwach’s significance.
No, He would be able to influence the sternritter to believe he led them to Yhwach, but Yhwach would still be the source of their devotion.
I love when my uncle gets the spotlight he deserves
The past is immutable and unchanging, while the future is yet to be written. Nothing Yhwach could do, short of killing him, would be able to trump Tsukishima's abilities. It funny that for all the hyping up of how Godly the Soul King and his progeny are, man still comes out on top.
Yawach naw I suck his reitsu
Almighty counters book of end don't matter lmfao
@@ericx6969If only because Tsukishima would never get the opportunity to cut Yhwach. If Tsukishima did get that chance to cut Yhwach (or really any of the Zero Division) he could just change the past and replace the role of Yhwach's father, the Soul King, and all the power that comes with that.

That's why he can't come out on top 😭

@@RealLifeIronMan nope Almighty negates his hax easy lol.
This guy is the opposite of an onion, when he was cut, I didn’t cry.
Also the fact that this ability also underminded the Almighty as well. For a brief time.
That is what really makes it broken for me. To rewrite what a god did is no small accomplishment
Tsukishima actually created Aizen's plan for him.
Damn i allways knew my best friend was popular but to think he’d appear in a tomo vid is insane, way to go tsukishima
Stabs the Quincy king: you never got the Almighty i did
The only way for his power to possibly work is that he creates a completely new moldable reality with every slash, basically breaking off pieces of the real world and implanting false realities where they once were. Then when he cuts them again he just puts it back together
I remember the time when Uncle Tsukishima made my bullies my friends, I always knew he could beat the Quincy King!
"Since when were you under the impression that i wasnt using Book of the End?"
You should make a video about this for Toshiro. Also a Rukia vs Toshiro battle video would be nice, same for Starrk vs Ulquiorra. Lastly rank all of Byakuya’s battles worse to best
Toshiro takes it but I do think it would be a really interesting fight. One controls ice while the other regulates body temperature.
Toshiro would win simply as he has more experience with his bankai. Given the same experience level, I do think Rukia's comes out on top. If she learned how to utilize her Bankai without the double-edged sword limitation, it will be incredibly OP.
So glad my oldest brother is finally getting the respect he deserved. He didnt deserve the disrespect he ever got.
Tsukishima would probably fucking explode like gremmy
I expect nothing less from my uncle Tsukishima
I don't know why Ywhach didn't consider this guy a special threat. His ability could have really messed Ywhach up. Maybe not be able to outright kill him but it still could still cause him a good amount of damage especially if his past and memories are being manipulated with.
He’s actually the strongest because his sword allows him to collect information. He could make up a time line where his opponent told him the ultimate weakness of tie their power.
Exactly what he did with Byakuya
I never really cared for the character at the start but over the years and with your vids i’ve grown to appreciate him

Uncle Tsukishima bought me tea when i need it the most.
From the way i understood book of the end was always on the concept of the bookmark
When he slashes you, your life becomes a book he reads, and then inserts his bookmark into, therfore changing the narrative.
That change does break reality though because that would be the only way he caused physical changes on the floor with byakuya and fixing zangetsu
So why doesn't he just cut someone and kill them in the past?
Probably their is a un spoken limit like he can't kill people or erase them. Just reaching, but it also explains why Ginjo didn't give Tsukishima Ichigo's powers, as who knows what limitations can be broken.
Let's Go My Uncle Tsukishima is Stronger 💪🏼
Kubo: "Alright, I've made a final arc villain who ties into Ichigo and Uryu's family histories, who has powers that can warp reality like Orihime and Aizen, who has a grudge against the noble families including Yoruichi's, Rukia's/Byakuya's, and Ganju's. Now all I need is to connect the story of Ichigo's Fullbringer best friend, -Chad. Maybe something with his amulet...-
Tsukishima: BOOK OF THE END!!
Another perfectly timed video to fall asleep to, thank you mr tommo!
Yesss! A video about the best boy.
Certainly one of my favourite characters in Bleach, right up there near the top. Absolutely adore the atmosphere Tsukishima generates all throughout the arc.
I can’t believe you dedicated a video for my favorite uncle!
@@sh4d0wfl4reThe Visionary combined with the Almighty would be truly broken.

My favorite part is where Tuskishima cut Kubo and inserted an obvious anime filler arc into the canon manga.
Respect the fullbring arc 😭
That is a cool manga you got there Kubo... Do you remember when you made an arc and I was in it?
While the inserting into the past is already broken, the making of new futures that yuhabach can't even see is theorectically even more broken
Makes much more sense why hes ridiculously broken since he has a part of the soul king.
Well done. I enjoy this character & especially that fight with the Captain of Squad 6
If he did actually fight Kenny then it wouldn't matter how broken BotE is, because Kenny would still be like "oh? You're stronger than me? Then I just gotta get stronger as we fight"
"Oh? You saved my life? So? I still wanna cut you"
😂
This is actually one of the things that i headcanon the Soul King let himself be cutted down... Book of the End was necessary to defeat Yhwach alongside Invaders Must Die and Dollhouse, so i think the SK let himself be killed to create the Fullbringers
Good timing, I actually just rewatched that arc :)
The Lost Agent Arc is my absolute favorite Bleach arc and honestly, it’s not even close.
*I kinda find one flaw to Tsukishima and his ability. How can he insert himself into someone's past if the person is older then Tsukishima is? He inserted himself into Byakuya's past to learn about Senbon Sakura's powers but Byakuya is considerably older than Tsukishima is.
His powers defy logic. Remember he retroactively created a trap in a. Place that didn’t exist 5 minutes ago
Am I the only one who thought Byakua and Tsukishima looked very much alike back in the day?
Other wise:
8:47 its possible that he already inserted the memory of saving byakuya at the first strike as a failsave. And just reminding him that he did
I wonder if this ability edits spiritual level to match the role that he wishes to play in order to match an opponent who far out scales him. Or does it just effect his practical senses and mental skill in battle
Keeping Kenpachi memes about Giriko apart, 'Time tells no lies' is kinda broken too. He could have played a good role in TYBW. Makes me more curious about the 'Entity of Time' and it's relation to SK.
First time I've been this early to one of your videos, Tom. Loving the content!
Obviously it's way more powerful than I ever thought
Book of the end was a frightening power when I first read it. The ability to tamper with memories that makes you you.
It's wild how it took a combination of aisens power, ichigos power, tsukishima power and uryu's silver arrow to beat ywach
There is a reason Reality Warping is my favorite superpower, and Tsukishima's Book of the End reminds me of that.
The way you've described it, he doesn't actually affect reality, he just affects the targets perception of their past reality. If inserting himself into Chad's past also affected Orihime's past without cutting her, then he would actually have affected reality
My brother tsukishima is a humble guy not sure he wants all this attention on him. Good video though
Never thought I'd see my old football coach in one of your videos, huh
Ooooh heck yeah. First time early. Hell of a thing to get me through work ^^
Yhwach has a weakness to any ability that tricks his eyes or vision.
Brainwashing and cheat knowledge boost, not for nothing my master is incredible! (side note, Ichigo still hasn't apologized)
i simply dont believe he could realistically have landed that first cut on byakuya
in cfyow tokinada uses enrakyoten to create ryujin jakka flames and his stuck his bookmark into the flames and said they were extinguished seconds ago. he could manipulate the past up to the future but now he can affect the past to affect the present.
