The clicky buttons are a big advantage because they have less travel distance and are quieter. However, the D-Pad is better on the SE because it’s membrane and not a tactile switch. That really kills the diagonals. I will say this, though; experiences vary. You may have better luck than me.
Microsoft is making it hard by not allowing the license for wireless controllers with motion sensors. Windows OS should officially support all controllers around the world, just like Windows XP.
@@Gamerlingual Can you please explain that if I connect EasyMX 20 or any other wireless PC controller with a motion sensor to my PC, what will I get as an input from it? Is it as Xbox One, or Xbox 360, or just as another generic controller? I mean, what will Steam show it as?
The RB and LB buttons still have membrane mechanisms? because the G7 SE break that mechanism quickly? If the G7 HE changed that, I bought it. Can someone confirm it?
How are the outer deadzones on this controller? I'm debating myself between this one and the Vader 4 pro, but the vader 4 seems to have a lot of outer deadzone.
@@Gamerlingual I eneded up buying the G7. Found a good deal for it and just went ahead. If the deadzones are Ok I'll keep it; otherwiseI'll probably change it for the Vader, since it also has a large deadzone but way more features. Thanks again!
Can you please make a dedicated comparison between this and SE. Also which one would you suggest for a first time user as I have always played games on kbm?
I would get the SE without a doubt because it has the Membrane D-pad which is much better for 2D games and it has the back button latch. With the HE, you’re basically missing out on the rubber grip and membrane buttons which aren’t a big deal. So, I would go for the SE.
@@Gamerlingualthanks for the inputs, I had one more question if I have sweaty hands then would the gripped one be better or it doesn't make a difference?
It could make a difference, but I don’t find my hands slippery when sweaty. Even if they do get sweaty, I wipe my controller after the use. Overall, you’re fine either way.
So I get that the rear buttons don't have the lock to prevent you from using it, but from the software app are you able to just disable those back buttons so nothing happens if you press them on accident?
I don't think I want mouse type switches in the buttons, they always fail, unless they are optical, but I doubt it very much. But I love the G7 SE, best sticks for racing games out there...sooo precise and smooth.
@@Gamerlingual Feeling can be subjective, but I appreciate that in two years playing MotoGP22 with conventional sticks I never was able to set the 9 laps in the mid 1:47's at Silverstone, or do 1:11's at The Americas track with 2 stroke bikes. 1:52's at Motegi with rain? that was like impossible before. It would be a big help if they just added it to their controllers from the start. I agree, it's not hard.

It’ll register as a Switch controller. Each controller will register differently depending on for example if it’s on X-input or S-input.
