good video, very informative, I have the g7, g7se and the kaleid, I felt the sound of the kaleid was very low, the gamesir is excellent but it is recycling the controls a lot with minimal changes, I would like to see a control with 4 paddles and mouse trigger
A bit inconvenient but if you plug in your mic/headset into another controller you can still hear game audio while using 1000hz on the gamesir controller
Hey man, great video! Quick question: Did they remove the ability to overclock the Kaleid to 1000 Hz? It's not advertised on the website anymore and other people have said they removed it and you can only get 250 Hz with the Kaleid now.
Interesting video, as always. I still prefer the T4 Kalied over the G7 SE. I play on PC mainly, and some on PS5, so the Xbox license is not important for me (I had an Xbox Series S but the input lag was terrible - at least of Apex Lengends- and I sold it). For me the T4 Kaleid feels a little better on PC W11 Apex Lengends over the G7 SE. I have not tried the new Kaleid. (I did the same you are commenting on the video with the G7 SE, I hoarded 3 T4 Kaleids, given how much I like it) BTW, I think the PS5 does some filtering when using the Dualsense, over using it on PC. On PS5 feels a better and more steady controller.
@@blorbb5398 hey bro thanks for sharing, I did a quick test of standard dual sense on my laptop in Xdefiant and got strangely high latency results. That even with 1000hz overclock. I discarded them as my laptop just barely runs the game at all. I’ll definitely try and test for dualsense controllers once I’m on pc as well. But you are correct, dualsense standard feels great on ps5 and edge is truly something else on Ps5.
I have a Gamesir Kaleid, it came with the firmware version of 1.46. Upon updating to 1.49, I was facing disconnection issues on both PC and Xbox. Lights will not light up and Gamesir app was not able to detect. So I went to Gamesir website and download a firmware downgrader programme. Where it reverted the firmware back to 1.46 and then on the nexus app, not only it was able to detect again but also ability to change the polling rate. So I tried again to update to 1.49 but the disconnection persisted. So ya here's to those facing this issue. Keep firmware 1.46 for now.

Me too! I only use my G7SE and my stealth ultra both my favorite controllers. I have a G7 HE on the way in the mail. Hope I like it at least as much as the SE
have you opened them to bumper level would you say the xbox bumper replacements will fit it? especialy in my case the g7se also try this on the g7se 1000hz flick the throtel and brake and see if yours also gets stuck at some valeu above 0 until you pres them again
@@theswagger5386 hey so the inputs in my app are calculated by both axis values from the stick, so the update per second of 1878 is 2 simultaneous values changing, the real report rate will be half of that essentially. So around 940 inputs are being sent every second through the stick values, which come in line of the 1000hz operation.
@@BassThrashin bro you won’t believe this, I just calibrated it for my daily for the next couple of days 😂 I think the G7 would beat the SE for response on Xbox, but mine needs a bit more deadzones than the SE, still I’m going to be using that one and definitely going to test the SE and G7 side by side on my new 1440p monitor. Man coming from 1080 to 1440p on Xbox and PS5 has been great, also I do think the acer 1440p monitor I got shows way better motion which makes gaming even more fun for me. I’m eager to use the BFI mode on the monitor with 1000hz on G7 and sniping on Xdefiant tonight, as I just unlocked the new sniper.

Man trigger stops on this one would’ve been great, not having them really makes the lineup strange. I’m worried about the 1000hz behaviour, as it loses the Xbox license benefits and shows no improvement on Xbox. Hopefully we’ll be able to keep the 1000hz on G7se, otherwise I’ll be back to potentiometer sticks full time 😂

So i got the kalied and after updating the controller to 1000hz on pc. It just keeps disconnecting and i did it through the app method because downloading the firmware came up as a virus. My G7 SE never gave me any issues.
G7 se is still he best bang for your buck controller for stick players currently.2 Paddles Hall effect sticks with customizable dead zones and trigger dead zones and current software updates for under $45 dollars. But as a gyro and motion controls player I've stopped using these kind of controller
So between the GameSIR G7SE, Kalied, and the Flux which one is the superior one? (Running late to work can't finish the video and need to buy a new controller ASAP)
I use a g7se and have Dolby Atmos enabled for about 90% of the games i play. (Other 10% being games i play while listening to music) And it definitely adds a few decibels volume without a doubt. For reference the headset i use is wireless although a bit low qual... Turtle beach stealth. Come to think of it though, i believe in one of your previous videos you did mention that D Atmos adds a bit of latency, so do keep this in mind as well i suppose

@@Jobaeee hey bro, so I’d say try the non raw with 0 deadzones in nexus first. For game deadzones keep them where you feel comfortable worthy amount of slight drift your unit might have. If you find that your aim doesn’t catch up and feels sluggish, then try raw. You might need holder in game minimum deadzones when using raw as it’s more responsive.
Hi mate I'm looking at getting a new controller atm I've had enough of constantly tweaking the g7 and the g7se to make them feel good to me 😂. I'm looking at the 8bitdo hall effect ultimate atm or the kaleid I guess if it's different to previous gamesirs. Any recommendations? I was gonna wait for the pro 2 updated version at the end of the month but I'll get that aswell when it's out.
@@ashleyibbitson7011 hey bro so Kaleid will still feel like the G7se, I personally like the G7se slightly better than Kaleid when used in 1000hz on Xbox. 8bit controllers do feel a bit different for sure, but they are also using the Ksilver JH16 as well, still having a different output algorithm make them feel different. The ergonomics will be something you have to decide between G7se and 8bit ultimate, I much prefer the G7se, but 8bit didn’t need much adjustment to my grip to use it effectively.

My G7 SE is very responsive on Xbox with 1000Hz polling rate. I'm also interested to find out if the 1000Hz will still work on Xbox with the latest G7 HE

I do believe that updating the controller to whatever firmware comes after 6.30 will make the 1000hz behaviour like the Kaleid, where it’ll only work on pc. But people like us who don’t update will keep the 1000hz, that’s the reason I want to get another G7se, so when the update happens I have 2 units I can test side by side. Don’t know how many Gamesir controllers I’ll end up buying 😂
What’s your latest settings for the G7SE? I have had this controller since Christmas 2023 and noticed in COD it doesn’t feel the same as when I first got it.
Hey dude just wanted to give you an update on mine to see if you or anyone else are having the same problem. Had my Kalied flux for less then a month and the stick drift has increased by 3 deadzones worth just from normal use. That’s more than my G7 CE got in the year I have had it. I’m sending it back and getting a replacement hoping it’s just my unit but if not perhaps the build quality is cheaper?

My G7se has the Ksilver branded sticks, but I’ve heard people have G7se with similar gamesir branded sticks as the Kaleid. Not sure if they’ve changed something in the JH16 used in Kaleid compared to G7se ones.
The Kaleid frictionrings that the sticks are moving up against are they the same material as the G7 SE? Because if yes that’s a huge problem then, because they don’t last long and with the G7 SE you can buy replacement kid but that’s not possible with the Kaleid since you can’t take of the shell 👎🏻 and the sticks are they the same height as the G7 SE or higher? Because the G7 SE has a lower height sticks then normal Xbox controller. Can you test this out ? Because if the Kaleid got improved frictionrings and better performaning hall Effect sticks then with the 500hz support on Xbox I can definitely see the point in upgrading, but if the Kaleid got the same frictionrings like G7 SE, then no thanks
@@BA3YDADDY hey bro so I did open mine and installed the G7se rings on it to test if the physical active area had changed at all, but they fit perfectly. I don’t have any rubbing noises from Kaleid like the G7se gets from time to time, and the rings on the Kaleid do seem a little different, but I’ll take them out and make short about it for sure.

I just received my G7 SE and updated it out of the Box to v6.30 and now my sticks keep stuck and drift at 1000 Hz, but not at 250 or 500Hz. Is there any way to reset the firmware Update or an easy solution to solve the problem?
Hey bro so this happened to me when 1000hz came out initially last year, and the only way to avoid it was to keep the minimum deadzones in the nexus app to 0, and use in game deadzones if needed. After the update to 6.28 I believe, this issue was resolved, so you having it with 6.30 is a bit strange. Try the 0 deadzones in nexus and also do a manual calibration as well and see how it is. Otherwise return that one bro coz I do believe 1000hz is a must for G7se.

Just about to start watching this one bro. I still haven’t managed to do the update for my Kaleid that you told me should fix the sound issues I’ve got because I don’t have a pc or laptop. I’ve tried to borrow a laptop but couldn’t find anyone willing to help me. Not sure what else to do now. It’s driving me nuts having to run my headset through a separate controller

@@thephototechy yeah mate for sure. It’s stupid that I can’t use the Nexus app to update the controller. This is still my favourite controller I’ve ever used though so at the moment I’m putting up with it. Far better than the Elite 2 I used for a good while. The other controller I have is the Gambit but I find the sticks perform much better on the Kaleid. I also find that the clicky buttons respond in game better than anything I’ve used. I play Bf1. I’m quite happy with two back buttons also. Do you know if the Kalied at standard like I’m using responds better than the Gambit because I feel like does. I’m wondering if it’s just in my head and I’d be better trying to get used to the Gambit so I can use my headphones properly and have trigger stops that are not homemade 🤣
@@michaelcrimp8193 bro Gambit is a very responsive controller, but it has that 5% minimum deadzone which really spoils it a bit. I do love the true raw aim output of the gambit and the physical feel of favorunion sticks is nice as well, it they do feel to lose a bit more tension at the edges, where the Ksilver do feel a bit more uniform. One issue I’ve found with gambit is bitter on sticks after some game time, combined that with the forced deadzone, definitely makes it go down the list a bit, coz it’ll depend how much time it’ll last for. If you can get the update for Kaleid and set it to 500hz, you’ll definitely feel what the controller can do at its best.

The polling rate argument really doesn't make any sense, DLI on the Xbox console side hard caps all inputs to a maximum functional polling rate of 125Hz. ANY positive difference over the OEM controller, is simply an improvement in overall polling consistency. Microsoft just aren't as stringent at ensuring all their controllers hold 125Hz constantly. (more of a ballpark than hard rule) All controllers fluctuate but the higher the polling rate on the peripheral side is the less often it will fall below 125Hz cap, therefore improving measured averages and perceived responsiveness. NEVER have we actually experienced above 125Hz on Xbox with ANY controller or any other peripheral and unless Microsoft increases or removes the DLI polling cap limit we never will. All you need to do to see this is plug into a PC, load any game you also have on Xbox, Lock the framerate and set resolution to match the console version: Instantly even at only 250Hz the difference is NIGHT AND DAY, 500Hz and 1000Hz are INSANE. (I have tested this on 2 G7 SE's, and a gaming keyboard and mouse)
Is the form of the controller exactly the same?, I want to buy it but I still want to be careful since I take a lot of care with my trigger and left joystick muscle memory
So I bought the g7 and tried to figure out how to get it to 1000 I changed it than when I clicked filter driver error pops up. I continue through it than unplug plug back in after I install and it’s all red been trying to figure this out all day. I turned off secure boot and I’m on administrative mode. Hey bro, so I’ve mentioned this before, HE sticks have a different feel to them. It’s be gotten used to them a lot and can easily adjust between potentiometer and HE sticks, but still I can’t play with the same settings on HE as potentiometer sticks. If you are too used to normal sticks you might find the difference jarring and may not want to adjust to it. The big positive for me has been the ability to play with very minimal deadzones, something I have to keep slightly higher on potentiometer sticks, on most of xbox third party controllers. I’d say if you are willing to try something different then give either G7se or Kaleid a go, if you need that familiar feel with great response time, then go with the standard G7se and use the 1000hz on Xbox with that.
I bought a gamesir xbox kaleid and when I connected the headphones to the gamepad, I had to apply a lot of force to plug them in, is this normal? I have headphones with a 3.5 millimeter jack

@@cudderlover1216 hey bro so I was only able to test the stealth pro by turtlebeach in a recent video, and they did add a lot of latency. The best possible solution on Xbox is either through controller or a wireless headset with Xbox wireless built in, like the steelseries arctis 9x.
@@cudderlover1216 the issue I found is audio over usb on Xbox, anytime even wired solutions like the Astro using usb for audio, adds latency. PS5 with true usb audio was the best in my tests and I’m sure PC will be even better. Some tests showed nearly 6 times the latency when compared to usb audio on ps5.
G7SE USER photo techy wecky first off I love ur videos and follow all g7se videos u posted, I have over 1000 hours on mine and love it, i play a lot of cod and a dirtbike simulator, mx bikes. Going through a thing rn trying to test if the g7se isnt as good as a ps4 controller for cod, been testing with cod and aimlabs and cant figure out which is better for aiming plz give me some input on what u think,
@@Sp3cTrxL hey so the way they’ve achieved 1000hz on G7se is a bit different to Kaleid. For G7se true 1000hz only works on windows 11 with Gamesir’s script downloaded as well. Kaleid works differently and have true 1000hz on pc, but when you enable that, the Xbox license benefits are gone, so Xbox accessories app doesn’t recognise it and it shows up an 360 controller instead of xbox one controller. I can confirm that controllers like PDP BFG also show up as 360 controllers and not recognised in xbox accessories app, hence my conclusion of it disabling the license to achieve 1000hz on pc.
@@MrJroc04si hey bro personally a 0 deadzone is a must for me, and I use the G7se(1000hz), EswapX and elite series2 only. I do wish controllers like the stealth ultra had the 0 deadzone option then that could be the end game for me personally.

@@MrJroc04si hey so I did a detailed latency test and found series2 to be a frame behind G7se in 1000hz. The difference is noticeable for me but having 4 back buttons is a huge benefit. My issue with the series2 is the stick physical feel, the play is very odd for me personally and my bumper is on its way out 🤦🏽♂️

@@xav10 personally if I could get a 1000hz true raw output with potentiometer sticks on Xbox, I’d chose that over the HE sticks. But HE sticks have one benefit so far, and that’s the ability to use very minimal deadzones. For instance my G7 which can do 1000hz has around 5-6% register at rest, so I need a 4-5% deadzone, my G7se which has 5 times more play time, has only 2-3% register at rest and I actually use that with 0 deadzones in Xdefiant and used to use 2% in COD. But let’s say a dualsense overclocked to 1000hz on pc might outperform any HE stick controller with 1000hz, personally I can only theorise this as I only game on consoles. So in summary if you are fine with 5% deadzones applied then a potentiometer controller might suit you better and you won’t have to adjust to that different feel of HE sticks. I’ve spent enough time with HE sticks that I know what settings I need to change in games when I switch between them, but still it takes me a bit to adjust between them.
@@Almightydubzz Hey bro I don't have the flux only the normal kaleid. The only change I can see is the extra 24% added resolution on the Kaleid compared to G7se. gaming wise I still like the G7se myself but I could easily adjust to Kaleid and did feel being able to track moving targets a bit easy on Kaleid. I've easily spent over 20 hours of game time on Kaleid and still prefer G7se personally for aim response, but ergonmics and non moving face plate in hand is a huge plus for me on Kaleid. Definitely a vey confusing lineup Gamesir have now, but personally I'll be picking up another G7se in the hopes to keep the 1000hz, as I do believe we might hae a situation where G7se will behave like the Kaleid after update.
@thephototechy nice, I didn't even know you could do that with the kaleid . I wonder if you can swap them with regular xbox sticks that way you can use xbox branded kontrolfreeks for them. That would be a cheaper swap out then having to buy new kontrolfreeks. If you were able to just buy $5 sticks and switch them out.
@@DevMfWalker Hey bro so yes you can do that too, and it actually makes the respose curve a bit more aggressive, as it reduces the resolution a bit. It's something I've recommended in the past for G7se if people find it sluggish. For Kaleid you'd have to open the controller which'll peeling the back sticker to access one screw and will void warranty.
@@thephototechy Peeling the back stickers to access screws will NOT void your warranty. For further details look up "right to repair". Steve at Gamers Nexus talks about this common misconception frequently. It's literally illegal in the US to void a warranty because of a sticker being removed.
Yes to a degree, Xbox uses there own proprietary way of doing things. Even when Wireless and locked to 125hz. (Actually 115-118hz). Unless using a device to circumvent DLI. (Certain cheat devices are now doing it.) All gamepad will max out at 250hz. Unless allowed by Microsoft. The differences won't be drastic. What's the point of adding 1000hz on a gamepad with sticks that are using software trickery and filtering. Adding a delay that wouldn't happen if it was just a raw input.
@@abdoubacha873 in a lot of ways it is, like the ergonomics and the ability to have audio, but aim response for me is still with G7se with the current firmware. This might change and G7se might lose the 1000hz on Xbox just like Kaleid, so for now G7se has shown the quickest aim response with 1000hz on Xbox in my tests.

Interesting video, as always. I still prefer the T4 Kalied over the G7 SE. I play on PC mainly, and some on PS5, so the Xbox license is not important for me (I had an Xbox Series S but the input lag was terrible - at least of Apex Lengends- and I sold it).
For me the T4 Kaleid feels a little better on PC W11 Apex Lengends over the G7 SE. I have not tried the new Kaleid. (I did the same you are commenting on the video with the G7 SE, I hoarded 3 T4 Kaleids, given how much I like it)
BTW, I think the PS5 does some filtering when using the Dualsense, over using it on PC. On PS5 feels a better and more steady controller.
@@blorbb5398 hey bro thanks for sharing, I did a quick test of standard dual sense on my laptop in Xdefiant and got strangely high latency results. That even with 1000hz overclock. I discarded them as my laptop just barely runs the game at all. I’ll definitely try and test for dualsense controllers once I’m on pc as well. But you are correct, dualsense standard feels great on ps5 and edge is truly something else on Ps5.

I have a Gamesir Kaleid, it came with the firmware version of 1.46. Upon updating to 1.49, I was facing disconnection issues on both PC and Xbox. Lights will not light up and Gamesir app was not able to detect.
So I went to Gamesir website and download a firmware downgrader programme. Where it reverted the firmware back to 1.46 and then on the nexus app, not only it was able to detect again but also ability to change the polling rate. So I tried again to update to 1.49 but the disconnection persisted. So ya here's to those facing this issue. Keep firmware 1.46 for now.

Me too! I only use my G7SE and my stealth ultra both my favorite controllers. I have a G7 HE on the way in the mail. Hope I like it at least as much as the SE
have you opened them to bumper level would you say the xbox bumper replacements will fit it? especialy in my case the g7se also try this on the g7se 1000hz flick the throtel and brake and see if yours also gets stuck at some valeu above 0 until you pres them again

@@theswagger5386 hey so the inputs in my app are calculated by both axis values from the stick, so the update per second of 1878 is 2 simultaneous values changing, the real report rate will be half of that essentially. So around 940 inputs are being sent every second through the stick values, which come in line of the 1000hz operation.

@@BassThrashin bro you won’t believe this, I just calibrated it for my daily for the next couple of days 😂 I think the G7 would beat the SE for response on Xbox, but mine needs a bit more deadzones than the SE, still I’m going to be using that one and definitely going to test the SE and G7 side by side on my new 1440p monitor. Man coming from 1080 to 1440p on Xbox and PS5 has been great, also I do think the acer 1440p monitor I got shows way better motion which makes gaming even more fun for me. I’m eager to use the BFI mode on the monitor with 1000hz on G7 and sniping on Xdefiant tonight, as I just unlocked the new sniper.

No triggerstops is kinda a deal breaker for me. Hope to see a more "premium" gamesir someday. It would also be cool to see multiple levels of trigger spring stiffness.
Man trigger stops on this one would’ve been great, not having them really makes the lineup strange. I’m worried about the 1000hz behaviour, as it loses the Xbox license benefits and shows no improvement on Xbox. Hopefully we’ll be able to keep the 1000hz on G7se, otherwise I’ll be back to potentiometer sticks full time 😂

So i got the kalied and after updating the controller to 1000hz on pc. It just keeps disconnecting and i did it through the app method because downloading the firmware came up as a virus. My G7 SE never gave me any issues.
G7 se is still he best bang for your buck controller for stick players currently.2 Paddles Hall effect sticks with customizable dead zones and trigger dead zones and current software updates for under $45 dollars. But as a gyro and motion controls player I've stopped using these kind of controller

I use a g7se and have Dolby Atmos enabled for about 90% of the games i play. (Other 10% being games i play while listening to music) And it definitely adds a few decibels volume without a doubt. For reference the headset i use is wireless although a bit low qual... Turtle beach stealth. Come to think of it though, i believe in one of your previous videos you did mention that D Atmos adds a bit of latency, so do keep this in mind as well i suppose

@@Jobaeee hey bro, so I’d say try the non raw with 0 deadzones in nexus first. For game deadzones keep them where you feel comfortable worthy amount of slight drift your unit might have. If you find that your aim doesn’t catch up and feels sluggish, then try raw. You might need holder in game minimum deadzones when using raw as it’s more responsive.
Hi mate I'm looking at getting a new controller atm I've had enough of constantly tweaking the g7 and the g7se to make them feel good to me 😂. I'm looking at the 8bitdo hall effect ultimate atm or the kaleid I guess if it's different to previous gamesirs. Any recommendations? I was gonna wait for the pro 2 updated version at the end of the month but I'll get that aswell when it's out.
@@ashleyibbitson7011 hey bro so Kaleid will still feel like the G7se, I personally like the G7se slightly better than Kaleid when used in 1000hz on Xbox. 8bit controllers do feel a bit different for sure, but they are also using the Ksilver JH16 as well, still having a different output algorithm make them feel different. The ergonomics will be something you have to decide between G7se and 8bit ultimate, I much prefer the G7se, but 8bit didn’t need much adjustment to my grip to use it effectively.

I do believe that updating the controller to whatever firmware comes after 6.30 will make the 1000hz behaviour like the Kaleid, where it’ll only work on pc. But people like us who don’t update will keep the 1000hz, that’s the reason I want to get another G7se, so when the update happens I have 2 units I can test side by side. Hey dude just wanted to give you an update on mine to see if you or anyone else are having the same problem. Had my Kalied flux for less then a month and the stick drift has increased by 3 deadzones worth just from normal use. That’s more than my G7 CE got in the year I have had it. I’m sending it back and getting a replacement hoping it’s just my unit but if not perhaps the build quality is cheaper?
@@lizardon7096 hey bro, thanks for sharing this info. Mine not saw about 30-40 hours max game time as I personally still use the G7se instead of the Kaleid. My G7se has the Ksilver branded sticks, but I’ve heard people have G7se with similar gamesir branded sticks as the Kaleid. Not sure if they’ve changed something in the JH16 used in Kaleid compared to G7se ones.

The Kaleid frictionrings that the sticks are moving up against are they the same material as the G7 SE? Because if yes that’s a huge problem then, because they don’t last long and with the G7 SE you can buy replacement kid but that’s not possible with the Kaleid since you can’t take of the shell 👎🏻 and the sticks are they the same height as the G7 SE or higher? Because the G7 SE has a lower height sticks then normal Xbox controller.

@@BA3YDADDY hey bro so I did open mine and installed the G7se rings on it to test if the physical active area had changed at all, but they fit perfectly. I don’t have any rubbing noises from Kaleid like the G7se gets from time to time, and the rings on the Kaleid do seem a little different, but I’ll take them out and make short about it for sure.

I just received my G7 SE and updated it out of the Box to v6.30 and now my sticks keep stuck and drift at 1000 Hz, but not at 250 or 500Hz.
Is there any way to reset the firmware Update or an easy solution to solve the problem?
Hey bro so this happened to me when 1000hz came out initially last year, and the only way to avoid it was to keep the minimum deadzones in the nexus app to 0, and use in game deadzones if needed. After the update to 6.28 I believe, this issue was resolved, so you having it with 6.30 is a bit strange. Try the 0 deadzones in nexus and also do a manual calibration as well and see how it is. Otherwise return that one bro coz I do believe 1000hz is a must for G7se.

I still haven’t managed to do the update for my Kaleid that you told me should fix the sound issues I’ve got because I don’t have a pc or laptop. I’ve tried to borrow a laptop but couldn’t find anyone willing to help me. Not sure what else to do now. It’s driving me nuts having to run my headset through a separate controller
@@michaelcrimp8193 bro I should’ve remembered this and mentioned in the video. The need to have a pc just to get extra much needed performance is an issue, it should be a plug and play experience with licensed Xbox controllers.
@@thephototechy yeah mate for sure. It’s stupid that I can’t use the Nexus app to update the controller. This is still my favourite controller I’ve ever used though so at the moment I’m putting up with it. Far better than the Elite 2 I used for a good while.
The other controller I have is the Gambit but I find the sticks perform much better on the Kaleid. I also find that the clicky buttons respond in game better than anything I’ve used. I play Bf1. I’m quite happy with two back buttons also.
Do you know if the Kalied at standard like I’m using responds better than the Gambit because I feel like does. I’m wondering if it’s just in my head and I’d be better trying to get used to the Gambit so I can use my headphones properly and have trigger stops that are not homemade 🤣
@@michaelcrimp8193 bro Gambit is a very responsive controller, but it has that 5% minimum deadzone which really spoils it a bit. I do love the true raw aim output of the gambit and the physical feel of favorunion sticks is nice as well, it they do feel to lose a bit more tension at the edges, where the Ksilver do feel a bit more uniform. One issue I’ve found with gambit is bitter on sticks after some game time, combined that with the forced deadzone, definitely makes it go down the list a bit, coz it’ll depend how much time it’ll last for. If you can get the update for Kaleid and set it to 500hz, you’ll definitely feel what the controller can do at its best.

Hi mate sorry I'm confused does the kaleid on xbox series support 500hz with the headset jack still working?
The polling rate argument really doesn't make any sense, DLI on the Xbox console side hard caps all inputs to a maximum functional polling rate of 125Hz. ANY positive difference over the OEM controller, is simply an improvement in overall polling consistency. Microsoft just aren't as stringent at ensuring all their controllers hold 125Hz constantly. (more of a ballpark than hard rule) All controllers fluctuate but the higher the polling rate on the peripheral side is the less often it will fall below 125Hz cap, therefore improving measured averages and perceived responsiveness. NEVER have we actually experienced above 125Hz on Xbox with ANY controller or any other peripheral and unless Microsoft increases or removes the DLI polling cap limit we never will.
All you need to do to see this is plug into a PC, load any game you also have on Xbox, Lock the framerate and set resolution to match the console version: Instantly even at only 250Hz the difference is NIGHT AND DAY, 500Hz and 1000Hz are INSANE. (I have tested this on 2 G7 SE's, and a gaming keyboard and mouse)

So I bought the g7 and tried to figure out how to get it to 1000 I changed it than when I clicked filter driver error pops up. I continue through it than unplug plug back in after I install and it’s all red been trying to figure this out all day. I turned off secure boot and I’m on administrative mode. Hey bro, so I’ve mentioned this before, HE sticks have a different feel to them. It’s be gotten used to them a lot and can easily adjust between potentiometer and HE sticks, but still I can’t play with the same settings on HE as potentiometer sticks. If you are too used to normal sticks you might find the difference jarring and may not want to adjust to it. The big positive for me has been the ability to play with very minimal deadzones, something I have to keep slightly higher on potentiometer sticks, on most of xbox third party controllers. I’d say if you are willing to try something different then give either G7se or Kaleid a go, if you need that familiar feel with great response time, then go with the standard G7se and use the 1000hz on Xbox with that.
I bought a gamesir xbox kaleid and when I connected the headphones to the gamepad, I had to apply a lot of force to plug them in, is this normal? I have headphones with a 3.5 millimeter jack

@@cudderlover1216 hey bro so I was only able to test the stealth pro by turtlebeach in a recent video, and they did add a lot of latency. The best possible solution on Xbox is either through controller or a wireless headset with Xbox wireless built in, like the steelseries arctis 9x.

@@cudderlover1216 the issue I found is audio over usb on Xbox, anytime even wired solutions like the Astro using usb for audio, adds latency. PS5 with true usb audio was the best in my tests and I’m sure PC will be even better. Some tests showed nearly 6 times the latency when compared to usb audio on ps5.
G7SE USER photo techy wecky first off I love ur videos and follow all g7se videos u posted, I have over 1000 hours on mine and love it, i play a lot of cod and a dirtbike simulator, mx bikes. Going through a thing rn trying to test if the g7se isnt as good as a ps4 controller for cod, been testing with cod and aimlabs and cant figure out which is better for aiming plz give me some input on what u think,

@@Sp3cTrxL hey so the way they’ve achieved 1000hz on G7se is a bit different to Kaleid. For G7se true 1000hz only works on windows 11 with Gamesir’s script downloaded as well. Kaleid works differently and have true 1000hz on pc, but when you enable that, the Xbox license benefits are gone, so Xbox accessories app doesn’t recognise it and it shows up an 360 controller instead of xbox one controller. I can confirm that controllers like PDP BFG also show up as 360 controllers and not recognised in xbox accessories app, hence my conclusion of it disabling the license to achieve 1000hz on pc.

@@xav10 personally if I could get a 1000hz true raw output with potentiometer sticks on Xbox, I’d chose that over the HE sticks. But HE sticks have one benefit so far, and that’s the ability to use very minimal deadzones. For instance my G7 which can do 1000hz has around 5-6% register at rest, so I need a 4-5% deadzone, my G7se which has 5 times more play time, has only 2-3% register at rest and I actually use that with 0 deadzones in Xdefiant and used to use 2% in COD. But let’s say a dualsense overclocked to 1000hz on pc might outperform any HE stick controller with 1000hz, personally I can only theorise this as I only game on consoles.
So in summary if you are fine with 5% deadzones applied then a potentiometer controller might suit you better and you won’t have to adjust to that different feel of HE sticks. I’ve spent enough time with HE sticks that I know what settings I need to change in games when I switch between them, but still it takes me a bit to adjust between them.

@@Almightydubzz Hey bro I don't have the flux only the normal kaleid. The only change I can see is the extra 24% added resolution on the Kaleid compared to G7se. gaming wise I still like the G7se myself but I could easily adjust to Kaleid and did feel being able to track moving targets a bit easy on Kaleid. I've easily spent over 20 hours of game time on Kaleid and still prefer G7se personally for aim response, but ergonmics and non moving face plate in hand is a huge plus for me on Kaleid. Definitely a vey confusing lineup Gamesir have now, but personally I'll be picking up another G7se in the hopes to keep the 1000hz, as I do believe we might hae a situation where G7se will behave like the Kaleid after update.

@@DevMfWalker hey bro, so I swapped them from the G7se as I was trying to check if they work, I also installed the Kaleid’s in my G7se.
@thephototechy nice, I didn't even know you could do that with the kaleid . I wonder if you can swap them with regular xbox sticks that way you can use xbox branded kontrolfreeks for them. That would be a cheaper swap out then having to buy new kontrolfreeks. If you were able to just buy $5 sticks and switch them out.
@@DevMfWalker Hey bro so yes you can do that too, and it actually makes the respose curve a bit more aggressive, as it reduces the resolution a bit. It's something I've recommended in the past for G7se if people find it sluggish. For Kaleid you'd have to open the controller which'll peeling the back sticker to access one screw and will void warranty.

@@thephototechy Peeling the back stickers to access screws will NOT void your warranty. For further details look up "right to repair". Steve at Gamers Nexus talks about this common misconception frequently. It's literally illegal in the US to void a warranty because of a sticker being removed.

Yes to a degree, Xbox uses there own proprietary way of doing things. Even when Wireless and locked to 125hz. (Actually 115-118hz). Unless using a device to circumvent DLI. (Certain cheat devices are now doing it.) All gamepad will max out at 250hz. Unless allowed by Microsoft.
The differences won't be drastic. What's the point of adding 1000hz on a gamepad with sticks that are using software trickery and filtering. Adding a delay that wouldn't happen if it was just a raw input.

@@abdoubacha873 in a lot of ways it is, like the ergonomics and the ability to have audio, but aim response for me is still with G7se with the current firmware. This might change and G7se might lose the 1000hz on Xbox just like Kaleid, so for now G7se has shown the quickest aim response with 1000hz on Xbox in my tests.
