Congratulations to you for growing a nice pack of muscles. I know You have been working hard for it as well along with your martial arts.. great work. Ofcourse you have set a nice example of being strong, mobile and skilled. This is a perfect answer to who advocate of staying away from weights as martial artists. I still love weight training and that gives me a good strong body and confident mind. It is really hard to keep maintaining martial arts and weight training together, I think thats why people generally choose only one of them. Keep going brother, you are doing a nice work
I suffered with tight hamstrings and also tightness around the groin n hips for quite some time (age related): the groin n hip stretches in this vid have helped tremendously, I work my way into your stretches, and kinda hang out where I feel tight, and can feel the difference after a week. Thanks for sharing..
@jkgardiner Great. Been looking into training with only body weight exercises alongside getting back to karate again. With all stuff in life going on i don't have time for the gym. You look great!
@@jkgardiner yes, please do!! I'm 30 and can feel my body not trained as it was before. Life happened so I dont have much time outside of work for lifting weights, hence I found my old love for karate/Bodyweights
@@AdryanJota the splits aren’t really necessary at all. It’s nice to do but you can certainly kick well without doing a full split. In my opinion the front split has more carry over to kicking than the middle split, as the position is closer to most kicks.

This is perfect. Follow alongs are the best format and easiest to implement. Thank you for this. OSS!

Can I do basic bodyweight exercises at home for strength training? I no longer have time to go to the gym except for karate practice
Yes you’ll make improvements with body weight training.

@ thank you 🙏🏼 I’m planning on making a “getting back into training” video very soon hopefully that is helpful as well

It is better to aim for middle splits over front splits for better range of motion on kicks or they aren't really necessary?

Osu!
Sir is SQUAT BENCH AND DEADLIFT with heavyweight is safe to perform or it is dangerous and affect martial arts?
I mean, if you do it too heavy or with poor form it could hurt you. Otherwise it's a compound movement that's good for you overall
I’ve done them for over 15 years..
@@jkgardinerso you're the dangerous part of the exercise now? 😎
