Handyman is hands down my favorite just cause it give the turrets little dumb names that is a nice lil touch and makes u kinda care about the turrets lol.
I found Handyman more useful in Minvera's Den cus of the fact they have more advanced Turrets in the DLC than in the base game. Makes getting Security command max level worth it.

Cure All is great when a hacked health station is only 9 dollars. Handyman is fantastic because I always hated how in the first game the respawning splicers would always eventually destroy hacked turrets with attrition. I tested Keen Observer on the Remaster Steam version and it does absolutly nothing to increase scores, Keen Obsever 2 is never worth 50 ADAM when research scores are finite. Hardy Machines also only effects Turrets and not flying security bots (which also means it doesn't work on security command 2 summons)
Man, headhunter and damage research with the speargun on alpha series big daddys melts them on hard difficulty and i always have this on every playthrough
I play bioshock on easy cause I like the gameplay, it’s really fun (I’m also not a very experienced first person shooter player), so I was so happy when I got HANDY MAN, bcs I love my little robot helpers and I don’t want them to die on me, I get sad, and I appreciate their help!!!!❤
Honestly, I don't find Vending Expert useful because I almost never buy from vending machines anyway and when I do, I have so much money that it doesn't matter. Also, underrated gene tonic: Booze Hound.
Never had any need for the vending price tonics after my first playthrough, as I'm rarely lacking for money. I usually use it to buy out safe hacks Nor the research enhancing tonics , as long as you plan ahead a little , research can be done in a reasonably timely manner. Natural Camouflage is not as useful in this game as it was in the first. Don't really care for the 4 Storm tonics. If you use the bots , all three bot enhancers are good. But , if you use Security Comnand 2 or 3 alot , drop Handyman for something else. Hacking - I usually equip one of the Careful Hackers and EZ Hack . Quick Hack will often not have a blue bonus area , so I rarely use it. With the hack tool , there's not much need for Shorten Alarms , Short Circuit , or Machine Buster. If you're going to use Drill Specialist , only Freezing Drill is worth using. Damage Enhancers/ Blockers : If you use the Rivet Gun , Shotgun , and Speargun alot , Head Hunter makes it too easy sometimes. If you ignore Health Upgrades or use EB and Incinerate alot , then Walking Inferno, Electric Flesh, and Armored Shell are almost a must. Damage Research is good , but lately I've played without it in my game builds. If you like a particular weapon above the others , Arms Race and Scrounger are needed. Eve and/or Health enhancers: Usually carry Eve Saver and Link. Cure All over Fountain of Youth , when I don't carry both. If you're going to hack everything , then equip Hackers Delight. I didn't care for Boozehound at first , but I've found it more useful in my last few game choices. As was Extra Nutrition. Unless you're really lousy or inexperienced at this game , not much need for Medical or Eve Expert. Not much need for Elemental Vampire or Sponge, especially as late in the game as they appear. Unless you're not going to do gathers , Proud Parent is a must. If you don't have trouble protecting your LS , not as much need for Demanding Father.
My essential equipped tonics are... Natural Camouflage Sports Boost Eve Saver 1+2 (2 is in the main game - you can buy it at the Gatherer’s Garden!) Electrical Storm (Elemental Storm is great too, just sucks it’s only available in like the last ten minutes of the game...) Electric Flesh Demanding Father Proud Parent Booze Hound (there is alcohol EVERYWHERE in rapture...) Handyman (love my bots having names too lol) Thrifty Hacker + Vending Expert 1+2 (hacked vending machines are dirt cheap with these three equipped) Eve Expert (rather have an extra eve hypo than an extra med pack) Sports Boost Armored Shell 2 Hurried Hacker Keen Observer 1+2 Damage Research Fountain Of Youth (my favorite tonic) Since only 18 can be equipped, I swap some around during my play through depending on what’s going on. Like when I’ve completed researching, I drop Extended Reel and Keen Observer 1+2 to equip and layer 1+2 tonics like Armored Shell 1+2 or Vending Expert 1+2. I love how tonics are done in BioShock 2 instead of having separate categories like in BioShock 1. I dislike the gear in Infinite. Limits the infinite possibilities... No contest fountain of youth is best tonic in bioshock 2... I just wish we get it earlier in the game. I hope it comes back in the upcoming bioshock game
I can usually get it before I leave Siren Alley , so that's not too bad since that's where the Spider Splicers first appear. I've favored Cure All over it , lately. When I first played this it was definetely one of the best tonics . As I replay trying different builds , I'll use it when I ignore both my Health and Eve Upgrades. Otherwise I 'll often drop it in favor of something else.
Fountain of youth is stupidly broken. Combo it with security command 3 and you always have two bots flying with you protecting you and you dont end up using a eve hypo. When gathering Adam choose the ones that are by some water and stay in the water the whole time and spam insect swarm and incinerate.
I favor gathering near cameras or turrets over the water pools. Four bots are better than 2. Swarm 3 does just about makes every other plasmid unnecessary.
When I first played I was always an electro bolt 3 incinerate 3 and winter blast 3 kinda guy and basically never bothered to read the gene tonics (I was 14 and lazy give me a break) but now I play properly I still love elements but it’s so much more fun when you’re really putting thought into tonics and plasmids and how well they pair and just making yourself stupidly powerful

I Love when I have Both the Tonic to go invisible when standing still and the one that heals you And gives you eve just for standing in/under running water. Once I have the spear gun I like to go sniper when/if I can , so just standing still in water makes things easier And more fun.
I've never been that fond of using the drill. I'll use it if I have too but it's not my first weapon of choice. (I actually like the wrench from the first game better.) So I tend not to use the drill power up tonics. Not a fan of any of the elemental storm tonics. There are times when a splicer will set it off only to unintentionally attack a nearby Big Daddy. Which forces me to fight a Big Daddy before I'm ready. Also I don't like Careful Hacker. It throws off my timing and tends to make me miss the blue spots. When it comes to healing and eve The best tonic IMO is fountain of youth. I also tend to use Booze hound, cure all ,eve link and eve saver. Hackers delight 1 or 2 if there is an available slot. For defense I'll use armored shell one then replace it with two. Also I'll use Electric Flesh and Walking Inferno. For research I'll use all the tonics stated in the video (with the exception of Head Hunter) until all of the research is maxed out. After that I'll switch them out to free up slots for other tonics. I have a tendency to use all of the bots, turrets and cameras to my advantage. So Handyman is a given. Hardy Machines and Deadly Machines are part of my lineup assuming I have available slots. Other tonics that I use include Sports boost Scrounger Proud Parent Demanding Father EZ hack Sometimes to fill up empty slots I'll throw in Thrifty Hacker Vending Expert 1 and 2
I used to rate Eve Link but now I prefer Eve Expert to carry the extra Hypo which is great because it doesn't cost Adam to buy. I wish Walking Inferno was better since we don't have the easy fire damage of Incendiary crossbow shots like we did in the first game. Testing with Incinerate plasmid it does the same burning damage but the first blast of it removes a much bigger chunk of health.
As a drill and electric only runner drill lurker tends to be trash something even the devs themselves admitted lol And also eve saver 2 is in the main game
eve saver, with vampire tonics let u leech enemies health while drilling them and beaming them with fire or electric stream good against big daddy, brute, and big sisters
I really wish 'Drill Specialist' was available earlier in the game, it's a shame you only get it in the last third of the game - I'd love to play through more of the game using only plasmids and the drill. I was hoping that the remaster would either introduce the 'Drill Specialist' tonic earlier in the game, or better still, have a 'New Game' option where you started a new game with that tonic active, and also perhaps three level one plasmids (ideally if you could choose the three yourself). I was also hoping that the remaster of the first Bioshock game would now have Bioshock 2's hacking mechanics, instead of Bioshock 1's endless 'Pipe-mania' type hacking, but no, the people who made the remaster made no real quality of life advances, and seemingly didn't care about making the little changes that fans had been wanting for so long. A real pity. Still, Bioshock 2 is a superb game, by far my favourite of the three games.
I've tried once to get through with game with the same bots after getting Handyman , but I didn't have much success. I'll try again in a future playthrough.

Maybe you've already made this type of video but you should do best tonic builds! Like tonic builds that synergize to make the best variation of a type of build
You may have said already, but what's your opinion on bioshock for switch? The fact its still locked at 30fps is kind if embarrassing in my opinion, since its the same as the ps3 which came out quite a while ago
It’s alright but it removes blue zones from at least some hacking so you can’t get free drops from health stations vending machines or extancash drops from safes. When you compare to the first game hacking is such a minor time thing and it only removes a single screen of hacking.

Master Protector is also good, though it’s exclusive to Minerva’s Den after you’ve beaten the Protector Trials.
