Thank you! For the last 3 years I have struggled with high blood sugar levels. I was diagnosed type 2 diabetic. I changed my diet and had some success in lowering it to pre type 2 diabetic, but was very frustrated because even cutting carbs way back to hardly any, did not bring the results I had hoped for. When I saw your video I thought "why not try it. I already have the fiber sitting in my pantry." This is day 5 and I am so very pleased to say that my blood sugar levels are where they should be......not just lower, but almost perfect. I am very thankful to say the least, but also a bit upset with my doctor that this information wasn't shared with me 3 years ago. I'm sleeping sounder and have more energy. Again, Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I make smoothies as low carb as possible, both frozen berries and frozen vegetables, small amount of frozen banana. I add in soluble fiber that can dissolve in clear liquid. Can be bought at Walmart. It's in the container with the green lid,not psyllium, which yes,you also take as well....OK, I also use unsweetened almond milk and if you Don have low carb protein powder, a finger thick slice of soft Tofu added gives you protein. @@mallikafavshankar1197chia seeds, pumpkin seeds and pistachios are really high in fiber. 15g of chia seeds soaked in water/milk/yoghurt, whatever you want already have 4,5g of fiber, 30g of pumpkin seeds have about 5,5g of fiber and a lot of minerals, 50g of pistachios also has 5g of fiber. Vegetables ofc work too as you mentioned. Eating these 10-15 mins before a meal. Also try to move after meals for at least 15-20mins. Keep in mind that your red blood cells regenerate every 3 months. So even if your A1c is not going down as quickly, it is completely normal and takes time because your cells need to adapt. Hope this helps and keep up the work ;)

Good idea! Never thought of incorporating fiber systematically (although my Dad did for different reasons). I make up a 30 oz container of lime/beetroot-powder water every day and drink it all day long. I will see if I can blend in a tablespoon of soluble fiber and monitor the results. The fastest way to slash blood glucose is to go near zero net carb and reduce number of meals. I had my evening glucose down at 94 mg/dL and was in low ketosis recently. I stopped during Thanksgiving and will resume the regimen after Christmas. In the meantime this fiber angle may blunt the damage I am doing to my vascular system somewhat. Thanks, everything helps.

And let me interject here that my regular doctor as well as another Doctor Who is holistic are both very good friends. My wife has also been a nurse for 50 years. We have seen metforeman wreck both lives and kidneys over the years. Once you get on met Forman eventually you have kidney damage and eventually you are on dialysis. I chose to go with Bernadine. Now, one year later, I have my diabetes completely under control. I have lost 50 pounds and my A1c was 5.7 at the last check. My regular doctor was amazed. Thank you. I don't have diabetes or prediabetes, but up to 80% of us still get blood sugar spikes. A bullet may miss, but a shotgun cartridge may not. What I mean is that a combination of methods is surely better than only one. So, I have learned to take a spoon of vinegar in water within 30 minutes before eating. Rinse mouth to protect tooth enamel afterwards. Then eat veggies first, protein second and carbohydrates last. Within 30 minutes after a meal I do 40 squats, 40 push ups and 40 pull-ups on a 45-degree machine I have. Or I just run on the spot (stationary running) for a few minutes sometimes instead. I also add some very simple accupressure moves that are featured for diabetics here on TH-cam by a Japanese lady. TH-cam search 'accupressure diabetes' to find it. Feeling better and better. Stay positive and beat this into remission.

Fantastic information! Thank you for always being in front by giving superb advice!
About 3 weeks ago I became interested in exactly how much protein and fiber I was getting daily eating during a normal day. How funny! Over a year ago I gave up all highly processed food, added sugar and alcohol..with a big increase in protein. I found I average 26-28 grams of fiber..and now I will add 1/2 cup beans with lunch. (My dinner is usually very very light, so I skip adding anything there. ).. this will really help boost my numbers and it is exciting to see it will actually be of such benefit!! I’m on the thinner side (115), no meds and older (76) and eating well is even more important because I’m never really hungry!
This video popped up at EXACTLY the right time! Thank you so much for really driving home the importance of a whole food diet with such incredible benefits!
Your channel is a huge and wonderful help. Thanks so much.

The benefits noted in the video are mainly with soluble fiber. Psyllium husks flakes contain mainly soluble fiber. Also inulin powder and resistant starch powder contain soluble fiber. They can can be put in a smoothie or yogurt for easy usage.
Fruits and vegetables also have soluble fiber - you can find online info on their soluble v. insoluble fiber contents.

This info is like music to my ears! I mean what an amazingly simple solution to such a grievous problem as blood sugar to carb addicts. Green beans and the stems of veggies are my easy source of fibre. So are flax, sunflower and chia seeds.
I was aware of fibre, but not that they are really this amazing. I subscribe very rarely, but I subscribe to this channel just for this eye-opener of a video. Btw, thank you for mentioning how you eat your apple. Just the other day I happened to chew the seeds of an apple I was eating and got so worried to see so much online stuff detailing the poisons it contained. I just amped up my fiber in a smoothie. For the liquid I used pomegranate juice, added 1 oz of chia seed, 2 whole apples, 100% psyllium husk. Seems to be about 23 grams fiber in a smoothie. That is my preferred way , thought it might be a bit sour but it was not maybe because of the apples. Smoothie was thick ate it with a long tsp, it was more of a gel like consistency. Plan on doing this daily, result will come later.
