  • Learn how to set up a chocolate fountain at home in just 5 steps & 15 minutes! 🍫
    In this video you’ll learn where to get & how to put together a chocolate fountain, as well as the types of chocolate you can use, a chocolate fountain recipe using cream or oil, and tips for preparing the chocolate for a chocolate fountain. This is the exact $40 fountain I’ve been using for events: amzn.to/3Ro6AhN
    The main thing people seem to struggle with is melting the chocolate, so I have described three ways of melting the chocolate below. Remember that you don’t need to buy Belgian chocolate for the best chocolate fondue or fountain. Though it’s important to note that using cream in a chocolate fountain recipe turns it more into a chocolate fondue fountain, so get ready for a rich treat!

    HOW TO MELT CHOCOLATE FOR FOUNTAIN
    Microwave Method
    Put chocolate and cream in a silicone or glass bowl, then microwave on high for 1 minute. Remove from microwave and stir gently, then put it back in on high for 20 seconds, stirring well afterwards. Repeat this process 7-8 more times. If the chocolate seems to be heating but not melting, let it sit in the microwave for 30 seconds before taking it out and stirring again, then proceed. This whole process should take about 5 minutes.
    Stovetop Method
    Heat 2-3 inches of water in a large pot, and once boiling, turn heat to low and place a large glass bowl atop the pot. Make sure it fits well enough that no steam can escape. Add the chocolate and cream to the bowl, and over the next 10-15 minutes, the two will slowly melt; stir the mixture until well-combined, with no more lumps of chocolate.
    Instant Pot Method
    Pour 2 cups of water into the bottom of the Instant Pot liner, then place a glass bowl on top, large enough to create a seal over the water. Then add your chocolate and cream, and set the Pot to ‘Sauté’ on Normal. Over the next 12-15 minutes, everything will melt; regularly stir the mixture well to ensure no air bubbles and the proper consistency. Turn on ‘Keep Warm’ until you’re ready to add it to the fountain.

    I enjoyed your video. I noticed that this unit is wobbly. I would have liked to have heard the machine run after the chocolate was in it.

      Yeah, I definitely needed to stabilize it. But yeah, it was a bit loud, but since it was outside & I was asking my friends questions while I filmed, I decided to do a voiceover. I'll keep that in mind for next time, though; that's a good point.

      Thank you! I don't use their brand of chocolate, but you probably could - it would likely need a bit more oil to make up for the higher sugar content.

    Where to store the left over chocolate and can it be again used for chocolate fountain next day

    • @DameCacao
      @DameCacao  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, it should be perfectly fine to reuse the next day, as long as there are no crumbs or other food particles in it that would make it hard to go through the machine. Check out my guide to storing chocolate for more specific tips, depending on where you're able to store it: damecacao.com/how-to-store-chocolate/

    Can you use milk or cream And oil at the same time? Or just one or the other?

    • @DameCacao
      @DameCacao  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You could, but you only need half as much oil as cream, so you'll need to do some math for it. :)

      @@DameCacao ok thankyou. I’ve opted for the liquid chocolate for my chocolate fountain machine, until I master the melting method.

    Can you add butter instead of oil

    • @DameCacao
      @DameCacao  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could use ghee instead of oil, but to use butter you'd need to use somewhere between the amount of heavy cream and the amount of oil called-for (depending on the size of your fountain).

    Hi! Is this 500ml capacity or 1000ml capacity?

    • @DameCacao
      @DameCacao  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This is about 1000ml, though in the US it's generally branded as the 32oz. machine. :)
