    Very helpful. Thank you so much! Loved the tip about freezing and re-using the chocolate, too.

      It's best to bag it in storage bag then place in a dry dark area.

    Add Coconut oil not veg oil! It is very thin when warm but turns solid when it cools and tastes WAY better.

    Would this fountain work and have flowing chocolate in an outside party in California weather ? Or does it need to be indoors ? Anyone know

    How long should you microwave the chocolate before placing it in the fountain?

      The way I do it I boil water and put a metal or glass bowl on top of the boiling pot and it melts fast and doesn’t burn the chocolate

    You NEVER freeze chocolate! Just put it in a cool dark place after wrapping it and putting it in a air tight container.

      Could you explain why? I tried googling this and didn’t get many answers and curious to know

      I worked in a very upscale Chocolate/confection store a few years back, and we were told by the chocolate vendor that when chocolate is frozen the fat solids breakdown affecting the taste and texture of the chocolate. I assume he knows what he is talking about... after all, they charged $75 a pound for their chocolates!!

    sometimes I see those in restaurants and I always wonder how many times do they replace the chocolate in it? Because sometimes people do the nastiest stuff with it. Like licking of a cookie and then putting it under the fountain again.

    • @nuraman00
      @nuraman00 ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL! So you saw someone do this in a restaurant?

    • @Fievelavie
      @Fievelavie ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nuraman00 yes. It’s mostly children doing it, but I’ve seen an old man licking a cookie and putting it in the fountain again. So there is a whole lot of saliva going on there.

    Did you add any oils to the chocolate?

    • @geekyasiandad780

      if you use the wilton chocolate pro chocolate which is formulated for the fountain, NO oil is need. just heat and preheat fountain. if using the chocolate melts, YES you will need oil

    I’ve seen people asking if you can add oil to the chocolate but would milk be an okay replacement to thin the chocolate out? I’m just not a fan of the thought of oily chocolate haha, I’m sure it doesn’t change the taste but it’s just *knowing* there’s oil in it kinda grosses me out you know? 😹😹

    • @precious7212
      @precious7212 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well to be honest, there is oil in a lot of chocolate anyway so, I don't think it really matters if you are adding more. It's just to thin out and make the chocolate more silky for it to be able to flow properly. I think you can add some milk but most people won't suggest it because it can cause the chocolate to seize. Seizing is when a lot of moisture is added to the chocolate and it makes the chocolate stiff and forms some sort of chocolatey 'dough', if that makes sense.
