The toes on Prime actually click into place and hide themselves better in alt mode creating a cleaner end of the truck.

That has to be lightest looking tank mode for a Megatron toy. It is cool that it utilizes the whole robot body rather than having him end up with tank treads as a backpack. Both toys really need a premium finish treatment, probably as a two-pack.

My only pet peeve with Megatron is the fusion cannon, as the figure represents his 'final' mode in the film, but the cannon is from his 2nd form. Hopefully some 3rd-party upgrade kits will do their thing and make a screen-accurate replacement!
Yeah, I think some things probably evolved during production, this being one
I think it's in it's second form because these 2 are actually more like how they look BEFORE Orion becomes Optimus, and BEFORE D-16 gets Megatronus's T-Cog. They're going to release Voyagers eventually (hopefully).
@@kennythetrend3688If you take a closer look at Megatron's face, it's definitely the final version. His face had a much different shape as D-16 and before he got Megatronus's t-cog. It's just that the cannon is wrong.
I actually much prefer the canon on his second form so this is a plus for me

Here's hoping both of these figures get a Premium Finish release at some point. The toys themselves seem genuinely amazing but those colors really don't do them any favors.

I'm hoping we're getting Voyagers cause if you had watched the film, these will scale well as Orion Pax and D-16, but are going to look STUPIDLY wrong due to both being WAY BIGGER when they fully turn into Megatron and Optimus.
Probably not going to happen because the premium finish was discontinued long ago
What I came to realise is that Primes vehicle mode reminds me of Animated Cybertronian Prime.

My only nitpick besides the slightly off gray color is Megs' arm canon was from when he was still D-16. Megatron's arm canon is triple barreled. Hopefully they will change this since that triple barreled look is beyond cool

I used to collect Transformers, but my little brother would break them it was sad I stopped and collected Marvel legends, but when I saw ss112, I was like I'll give it a try and it was fun playing with it Transformers one got me back into collecting Transformers toys

I ADORE Optimus. He’s so much fun to mess around with and pose, and actually really sold me on the design. Only issue is mine just….didn’t come with the backpack. Gonna have to get a second copy to display in alt mode, but otherwise, a fantastic figure.

@@SixoTF yeah, I contacted Hasbro, but they didn’t have a replacement available, so they sent me WFC SS Cliffjumper, which was actually quite a nice compensation package.
I got my copy from my local Target, and the strangest thing is that the box was in perfect condition, no scratches or tears or anything, and it came with all the accessories.
@@StopmotionSamurai go back to ur local target and return it, i did so with my ss crosshairs a while back and i got one that wasnt missing his hip flaps

The figure itself looks fine, but maaan the grey on Megatron just kills it for me. A nice silver would go such a long way

One of those where I assume things changed during development, same as some of the inconsistencies on Prime
DNA Upgrade kits are gonna have a field day with these 2 (Not hating on the figures, I have Prime myself and I love him)
Yeah, you could argue he's more Cogged D-16 than Megatron
Maybe they'll do proper voyager ones later to stand over Elita and Bee, and meet Sentinel eye-to-eye
I wish I can get my hand on these two with bed and elita and of course with all those characters they just look good to play with
I think the idea they were going with regarding the coloration was that of old toys from the 80s. Giving them that retro feel of the toys of old, which is reinforced imo by the obvious G1 inspirations for designs and the movie as a whole being a love letter to the series.

The one thing i wanna see from folks who've gotten Megs early is displaying his canon with the smaller armcannon attached to the end of the Fusion cannon, as while it doesnt quite match the exact look of the cannon in the film, it's a lot closer.
Hmm, I think it’d be a bit too long. In any case, his final cannon in the film is different still

For me, the red is the best thing about the Optimus figure. Completely sold me on it. Reminds me slightly of the WFC Premium Finish Optimus.
Haven't seen the film yet, but I couldn't care less how 'accurate' it is - it looks great on the toy. :)

If they decide to make a 2.0 version of these two, I would love to see a couple of changes and accesories. For Megatron, a enlarged Fusion cannon like he sports for a while, the Decepticon logo carved into the chest, and the transforming gear apperture. For Optimus, some flame effects for the "smoke stacks" and maybe one of the blasters he uses on the film.

I saw the film today, totally speechless as in, SOLID 1000/10. I also got that TFSS112 Optimus Prime figure as well, and I pre-ordered that Megatron figure. I wish it would be shipped here in the Philippines soon. Transformers One is indeed THE BEST TRANSFORMERS MOVIE EVER!

For megaton I wish that they used the same silvery grey on the whole figure as they did on the backpack unless it chips a lot then it’s good it’s only used on that one part

this might possibly be one of the best tf figures ive seen, the only problem with it is the gray color which is okay but could be better
I am in shock that this movie is not doing as great as it is in the box office. I saw the early viewing early in September I believe a week before it actual release date that was the 20th and I was so amazed.
I wish Hasbro would ship the megatron already 😩

I kind of disliked the Megatron tank mode when i first saw it, but i like it a little more now that you're given a good look at the leg transformation. The end of the barrel (muzzle?) kind of reminds me of the BM Mega Tankor toy... who had a much more obvious visible head!

I just watched the movie, and felt obligated to buy both of them, bad thing is they arrive in november
I didn’t realize how short they were when I got them. Super cool figures but optimas is smaller then my earthrise starscream and it makes me feel weird 😂 but the figure it self is amazing.
Really looking forward to Leg-atron! Got Prime already and was impressed with his posability. Not a big fan of his wee nappy or the wobbly plastic on the vehicle guns. They are murder to get back out!

Yeah I agree the color is off for me. I’ll wait for the redeco for these guys if it ever comes. The fusion canon looks a bit small and the energon axe is blue which would be better if it was orange.

Out of the two designs, it seems like Megatron was far and away more doable in toy form. He’s essentially perfect in both modes, which is not what I could say about Optimus, in which every version of the design in toy form was compromised in some way from an aesthetic standpoint.

When I hear “studio series” I generally think best representation outside of Masterpiece… I’m certainly down to curate a mini display with the main 4, but I’m not sure that these are scratching that itch. I might have to settle for a non transforming group but I’m gonna wait and see what options come out before committing to anything. I’d like a premium paint job and I truly can’t get over that “yellowed” looking plastic they keep using 😬
Fair. The threezero ones also look good imo and will have that premium finish
One small problem I have with Prime is that he paint chips really easily. I'm pretty careful with new figures, but even when handling him I found that he chipped easily.

@@SixoTF Yeah, at least that’s been my personal experience. Most of my other figures don’t chip as easily.
Honestly feel a bit conflicted with Megatron. The face feels a bit off and looks more old man than a recently-transformed Megatron, he feels a bit more basic than Optimus, he has the wrong fusion cannon, and they actually got his legs wrong. The leg joints are placed are what actually his side skirts making his legs too long.
I have the Optimus, although I’ve taken his back off, and I’d love to get all the others

I really hate how Megatron doesn’t have any wheels. It really bugs me, especially considering how well the alt mode looks.

Yeah you know I am an OG TF fan from the first show/comics days and so I haven't been particularly impressed with anything about TF One. However I gotta say I do like these figures. They do seem quite good to me just in the general TF figure context.
Gotta say, I'm a big fan of these more muted colours. Shiny and gaudy has its place but these two feel like they started that way before someone went in and unified the palette a little. This choice, plus the proportions have really turned me around on wanting to buy these, having zero interest based on the trailers.

Optimus looks great. Megatron looks ok, but his torso is too small and his legs seem too long, similar to the nightmare proportions of the Earthrise Optimus.

No way to know but I’d say it’s unlikely - the stuff that appreciates in any way tends to be the more unusual or overlooked bits that no one really bothers with initially in my experience
