Here’s a couple tips that I hope will help out a fellow welder, get you some ceramic weld, splatter spray, and spray that on your aluminum fireball squares, not a big deal when you’re doing TIG welding but when you mig weld next to them, it can mess them up, another thing if you want nice fluid aluminum, mig welds you’ve got to get it to spray, turn up the amperage, turn up the wire, whenever you’re running the spool gun do some test welds first, also get used to using a carbide scribe to mark your aluminum with , one it’s more accurate and two it’s one less thing that you will have to clean off the surface 🤠

I brought my aluminum fireball squares in work and was using them for mig aluminum spool gun welding and man those bbs stuck to it too easily pissed me off 😂😢. Now the company got some we got the cast iron ones try not to weld with them on just fit up than take them off before welding. It’s probably good to have a set of each if your spool gun welding aluminum the cast iron ones could be good and opposite for steel and stainless. Of course that’s more money to spend. I think that’s one of my top go to welding tools if the fireball squares and shims . Good tip 👍

Running Tig let ur puddle build before u move. Mig run ur wire high 500+ depending on size. Amp always run 26+ on amp. I'm a combo welder ran pipe an shipyard . Just like Flux. Don't be afraid of the heat. Turn it up. Everyone has they comfort zone that they can run.

As noted in another comment. When I'm welding a sealed off tube structure I drill holes where all the tubing intersects. Creates a large gas chamber and no visible holes and haven't had a blowout yet.

Awesome video. Anything fireball tool related is a game changer. I got the squares when they first came out like 4 years ago give or take I wanted my company to get them but they blew it off I got them and brought them in for a while finally they ended up getting a set and I think they are my top 3 most used tools you know it’s gonna be accurate using them and it’s 10 times easier even with two people I think they are accurate up to .004”. I find different uses for them every time they’re amazing. Another good fireball tool I use is the shim set and 123 blocks more so the shim set I’d be lost without them definitely a good investment. Another quality video 👍

@@Freedomfabrication777 I do a decent amount of aluminum tig on boat hulls, modifications etc and dude honestly its a game changer and might of taken me couple hours to get used to but after that you have plenty of "feel" and puddle control and flexability not needing a foot pedal. I honestly doubt I ever use a foot pedal again mainly cause I'm rarely ever sitting down and welding.

One trick I picked up from a NASCAR welder, drill holes any place you have a one tube being welded to the side of another. Until you seal up that last weld, the entire structure is connected internally and that blow out is eliminated. I liked those squares so much, I designed my own and cut them out of 1/4" plate on a water jet and welded them up. I couldn't afford his squares, but I had free access to a waterjet.

For minute 32:00 with the square stuff. You can use the tabs like mill clamps to hold on the backside where you positioned the plate to be welded. That way it does not pull on you.
