Nice build. I have a Terra since launch and I am really happy with it. I am running a 12600k cooled with a Big Shuriken 3 and 4070 Ti, performance and thermals are both very good. Thank you for getting the fan orientation right in sandwich cases, most builds I have seen want to run the bottom fan as intake.
Probably at least 10C better. If you can fit a BS3 you can also fit a Thermalright AXP120-X67 or the Deepcool AN600 both of which are even better than the BS3.@@jonnyfontane3607
Love the slick production values. I've been wanting a Fractal Terra for a future downsizing project and videos like these make it such an exciting prospect. If you're looking to make more videos like these then you've got my sub!
idk if a 7900xt is the best bang for buck when it comes to 1440p. i would recommend a 4060ti or 4070 if you want current gen, or a 3070 or 3080 for last gen. definitely save some money. you could even do 6800 or 6800xt and get a good 1440p experience for half the price.
nice pc, but there is a error RX7900XT can draw up to just over 300W, so using only one power cable is not recommended, maximum safe transfer with one cable is up to 150W + 75W from the PCIe slot, so for GPU drawing more than 225W, it is recommended to use two power cable
I just did an extremely similar build myself in the Jade Terra (super original lol i know), but I opted for a ProArt 4070 Ti. Really enjoyed the video, just discovered the channel!.
I don't usually write any comments but while I was watching the video I was sure this is a huge channel due to the quality and attention to detail. Awesome video keep up the good work.
How well does that cooler do for the CPU? I have a similar build, just a different gpu and the cpu seems to always be around 85-90 in games like cyberpunk and get up to 100 running stress tests
Hey I'm having trouble finding the correct thermal contact frame that you mentioned in the video and I can't see a link in the description. Any links would be appreciated :)
2:16 While this may be less of a problem with i3 or i5 systems, I would *never* use DDR4 RAM on i7 or i9 systems; you'll bottleneck the systems. Also, if you can afford those CPUs, you can almost certainly afford DDR5 RAM. That being said, it seems like starting with Intel 15th gen (Meteor Lake), DDR5 RAM will be required. (It's a new socket after all, unlike with AMD's AM5 being supported until and including 2025 at the minimum.)
Good build, I been building itx form factor for like 3 years now and not going back to normal size, but I would recommend to stick to nvidia gpus because of the temps and power consumption.
Hex Specter. I´ve got a most similar build. I also have the noctua cooler but with an i5 14600kf + contact frame. I´ve got 80-90 degrees Celsius in game. Is there anything wrong with my thermals? is it maybe the asus mainboard of mine which uses more power to my CPU?
Great video. Important question: When you moved the spine all the way across so the GPU was flush against the side panel, how much added space did you gain on the CPU side (in millimeters)?
I’m planning to use this mobo and case with a 67mm cooler. Two questions: does the cpu contact frame increase the height of the cpu cooler (will i have less room for the gpu)? And which contact frame is in the video (there are no links in the bio and you didn’t specify the name, I’m seeing two options on amazon by thermalright both for lga1700, one says intel 12th gen the ogher says lga 1700 and is more expensive)
i dont get it. some really recomend the noctua for this cpu, on the other hand they say stay off this cooler. i plan to use it it in the sams case with same cpu, but im really confused
love these tech videos! I’m currently saving up and building my dream PC and would love to know is the XFX RX6950XT + Ryzen 7 5800X3D a good combo for gaming?
I travel for work and want the power of a monster pc with the mobility. Do you have anything smaller? I want something that can run tarkov, star citizen and anything coming out in 114 with no lag
Nice exterior looks for the case, but too expensive ($1,800) for the average person wanting 1440p display resolution gaming. This is excluding the cost of the monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, web camera, and gaming chair. Replace the RX 7900XT with Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU to get a better value for 1440p gaming. Only $300 for that GPU. Thus, saving $600 that could go to other needs.
Wish bith amd and intel sell their mobile chips and motherboard bare bones. So anyone can build their own mini pc with way less power consumption. The mobile gpu cards too for bvidia and amd
thats complete overkill for 1440p dude like way over kill, like i personally have a 7800x3d with a 4070 windoforce and i get just about the same fps you do with a MUCH cheaper card
That looks clean and minimalistic
For $1800 I would hope it would crush 1440p.
Really clean build and chill video.

would you say the shuriken is wwaaaayyy better than the noctua used here ?

Went with similar. Ryzen 7700 and 4070ti with the Noctua LH65. Works really well as a travel pc and easy to open the wings to help with heat.
Love the slick production values. I've been wanting a Fractal Terra for a future downsizing project and videos like these make it such an exciting prospect. If you're looking to make more videos like these then you've got my sub!
Love your mini itx builds, keep em coming! amazing analysis and review too!
Thank you! We'll have a few more before the end of the year. :D

always supporting you bro ✌✌
respect the optimum tech thumbnail
love that case built 3 pcs in it so far. Might be my go to for clients who travel want some little more beefy than a laptop

same sweet spot specs too on my build list + Proart, + cpu contact frame. How you finding the temps ?
@@BluebirdR So i used the contact frame myself, and with a healthy undervolt temps are great! I got CyberPunk maxed RT on max, avg around 70-75° C 👌
Channel kind of reminds me of Optimum Tech, that means you're doing something right!
The effort and production from this channel is crazy. Would've thought it was a mega channel like LTT.
I definitely agree and wish all the luck to the content creator of this channel! Excellent work !
Hardware canucks is more wonderful than LRR
I really love watching your videos they are always interesting
I don't usually write any comments but while I was watching the video I was sure this is a huge channel due to the quality and attention to detail. Awesome video keep up the good work.
Do you have to break down the whole pc to clean the dust every few months?
How well does that cooler do for the CPU? I have a similar build, just a different gpu and the cpu seems to always be around 85-90 in games like cyberpunk and get up to 100 running stress tests
Is this mobo compatible with the AN600 cooler? do I need a VRM heatsink mod or a restricted RAM module height?

What cpu temps are u getting? Is this noctua cooler not too small for 13600?
Good build, I been building itx form factor for like 3 years now and not going back to normal size, but I would recommend to stick to nvidia gpus because of the temps and power consumption.
Beautiful build video!
(Your standoffs could need some more tightening. Sadly, they didn't add the right tool to do so)
Video like hardware canucks. Very nice bro
❤️
Did you do all the sets and lighting for this video? How????? TEACH ME
Hex Specter. I´ve got a most similar build. I also have the noctua cooler but with an i5 14600kf + contact frame. I´ve got 80-90 degrees Celsius in game. Is there anything wrong with my thermals? is it maybe the asus mainboard of mine which uses more power to my CPU?
Hi Specter, what kind of camera do you use for recording these videos?
This is the exact build I’m looking for.. how are temps in benchmarks? Also how is the fan noise? Any turbulence? Thanks!
now the question
how bad (in worse case scenario like high room temp etc.) thermal performance on this case
i'm interesting grab this for 2nd build
Great video.
Important question: When you moved the spine all the way across so the GPU was flush against the side panel, how much added space did you gain on the CPU side (in millimeters)?
Do you think a Noctua NH-L9x65 and a Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super Trinity White Edition will fit in to the Terra?
"It is not gonna scream at you with RGB." Freaking hilarious.
hi, can you list out some other cpu that i can use on this build?
I’m planning to use this mobo and case with a 67mm cooler. Two questions: does the cpu contact frame increase the height of the cpu cooler (will i have less room for the gpu)? I think gamers nexus did a review and guide about both grizzly and thermal right specs
Hi very nice review is this built very noize cause of the small form factor ?
i wanna buy something like this still waiting for Black Friday Deals :)
It's actually been very quiet. You can adjust the fan profile, but there are other cases that will produce better results.
i dont get it. some really recomend the noctua for this cpu, on the other hand they say stay off this cooler. i plan to use it it in the sams case with same cpu, but im really confused

6950xt and Ryzen 9 7900x for my first build a few months ago and I have been between 120-220 FPS for most games at 1440p.
I travel for work and want the power of a monster pc with the mobility. Do you have anything smaller? I want something that can run tarkov, star citizen and anything coming out in 114 with no lag
do you think i could fit a NH-L9x65 on a asus rog strix b760-i gaming wifi in that case ?
I want to build this! Using the same mobo as you. Think I can run a i912900k and a 4070 and still keep reasonable temps with this case?
Your b-rolls remind me a lot of Optimum's. Great job!
you didn't even mention what case you were using in the video description.
Never throw away your t-shirts :D
😂
how about can i upgrade to ryzen 7700x and 4070 ti
Wat I7 can I use in this build and make use a rx 7800 xt or rx 7700 xt?
Anyone know wattage per hour?

What nvidia gpu could fit into this build ?
ill go for a asus proart 4070ti or 4080
sad that you need an rx 7900xt at minimum for usable rt performance in rdna 3
no. nvidia fan boys ...
.
Omg... had me tell I saw the wood accent. Next.
Wish bith amd and intel sell their mobile chips and motherboard bare bones. So anyone can build their own mini pc with way less power consumption. The mobile gpu cards too for bvidia and amd
OMG 77 C, GPU temperature!
4070 super+ 5 7700x3d much better options to go for
Intel CPU & AMD GPU!? What kind of drugs are you on!? 😱
In all seriousness, great video!
Let the Red Vs Blue War begin ⚔️
thats complete overkill for 1440p dude like way over kill, like i personally have a 7800x3d with a 4070 windoforce and i get just about the same fps you do with a MUCH cheaper card
👌
The Lian Li h20 is a better case you can fit a 240 air in the top
Too much Optimum Tech inspiration...
why does he look like Albert Rivera
I am the 40,000 viewer.
First if not the first
Ah AMD kill it, kill it with DLSS, KILL it.
???
