When I first heard there was gonna be a Jaws set, I thought "eh, I have LEGO boats and sharks. I don't need movie branded versions." I was wrong.

My favorite part is definitely the shark build. It looks so scary but the way it’s constructed is so, goofy makes it adorable :P

Jaws isn't even close to my favorite IP to get this type of set, but this is by far the most tempting one of these so far. The price seems reasonable, the fact that you have the option to remove the boat and shark from the base is fantastic, and the medium of water actually makes the display base feel necessary for creating a sense of immersion. For most of these sets the display base feels like a waste of parts, but it actually makes sense here.
Just watched another review of this set from another big creator. It was pretty clear they knew little on the source material and that came across when they were stuck for words.
With that aside, this review is simply leagues better in terms of production quality and knowledge of parts, and the attention to detail.

I was already planning on buying this set, but your review really sold me. I love how this set offers different display options for collectors. This is my favorite 2024 set so far.
Just a touch disappointed we didn't get a "Screaming Quint" expression to recreate him being attacked. Too bloody for LEGO, perhaps?

Bought this set 2 weeks ago and finished building it 2 days ago. I did it together with my 4 year old who likes helping out. He really loved it because kids like boats..and sharks.. If you're on the fence of this set, it is a really fun build. I don't like lego sets that are very repetitive (colosseum, eiffel tower etc.) for me it is important that the experience overall feels non repetitive nad that's what this set definitively achieved. I also like its overall design, since its "long" it fits in many spaces.
This is by far my favorite ideas set so far, and Bruce is the best brick built creature ever in my opinion

I ordered this first thing this morning. I'm a huge Jaws fan, and I can't wait to put this set together.
I'm getting this as soon as I can. I've been putting together Lego Speed Champions and around 300 pieces, it's fun. This will be my first set close to 1500 pieces. Can't wait to start working on it.

I'll be getting this set but will build Bruce like the original designer intended. It looked larger, and meaner and didn't have its dorsal fin cut off flat on the top. I don't understand why Lego changed the shark so drastically and for the worse.

Lego have been upping their shark game, with Nightmare Shark and now this beauty. Not a fan of the movie but the set is beautiful.
The set looks very nice. But the gills being backwards really bugs me. The gills in that position would fill him full of water

In one hand I like the set, but something about the shark just feels too “cartoony” to me. I wish it was a more realistic looking set.

When I saw the white mast I immediately got excited as I initially thought we were getting LEGO’s dedicated mast element recoloured in white and I’m currently building something that would greatly benefit from such a recolour, though looking at how it’s built it’s clearly for the best as the one-piece mast would not have been movie-accurate.
Give us more dedicated boat parts, LEGO, the Pirates fans are starving.

I really like the idea that this is a multiple displays set ánd a play set. In that way collectors and players can use it.
So if anyone has the Jaws board game these will be the perfect minifigures for the game

There's a lot of negative stigma around sharks, and while these movies seem like they add onto it, I feel like they also don't, as it provides moments of curiosity for people to look into shark behavior, and to discover that they're not senseless man-eaters but just silly dumb water puppies.

If Lego had used pink/red bricks instead of blue for the lower half of the shark, they could easily recreate the scene where he got blown in half. A bit of a missed opportunity

I have one kislux bag I got in 2019, it's the LV white catogram speedy. It's counter quality and it has a nice honey patina now, so the leather is real. I think whatever makes you happy go for it. I've seen LV with plastic leather and blood red glaze...
I'm actually vested in this fir the boat. The shark is just a bonus.

This looks amazing. I will buy this when I see it. However, I will not tie black strings to my Orca, and I would just change the 2 stud pieces around and flip it on the fishing chair so Quint can sit on it.

I value my neck a lot more than one hundred and fifty bucks, chief. I'll buy this set for 150, but I'll build it, and display it, for ten. I don't want no volunteers, I don't want no mates - there's just too many captains on this island. $10 for me to build it, by myself.
For that you get the head, the tail, the minifigs - the whole damn thing.

I throw mine away to save space. If you think you’ll sell your sets eventually, maybe you should keep them as some people usually value having the box
I would totally buy just the shark. I'd love to see a collection of more marine animals. This looks way better than the 3 in 1 Creator sets.
Creator 3in1 have evolved massively. The shark (Deep Sea Creatures) was already pretty good, actually (and with literally hundreds of alternative builds on Rebrickable). But more recent animals in Creator 3in1 are just stellar sets: the Majestic Tiger, the Safari Animals (giraffe) and the Forest Animals (fox) really hit it out of the park.
