I just loved that movie because the old grandpa is played by Hal Yamanouchi, which is a living legend here in Italy, Japanese-born has lived in Rome for decades and despite speaking by now perfect Italian, he still does his voice acting roles with a very recognizable thick japanese accent, he's also the Italian voice actor for Ken Watanabe and Hiroyuki Sanada and even dubbed Goro Takemura in Cyberpunk 2077 And he's 79 years old now btw. Truly a legend

For real, the unrated directors cut version of this film slaps. They cut out some really good emotional scenes for Logan and the added violence and blood really sells the scenes more. Plus him taking on 100 ninjas at the end was awesome.

Been a while since I watched this, but I remember that shift in the third act being pretty sharp. It was like Logan got on his motorcycle at the end of act II, and rode off into a whole different movie.
It's been 7 months.! I know Danielle left. No movie reviews or discussions. Lots of downsizing over the past 5 years. A shell of what it was when Dan Muralll was involved and they had movie fights. I love Spencer and Lon. If it's just the two of them doing the commentary, that would be fine by me
Fun Fact: Wolverine has his own anime series. It’s called Wolverine Anime 2011. It’s more or less the same thing here, but it’s way better. If you’re a Wolverine fan and an anime fan, I would highly recommend.

Hilarious!!! I just saw this for the first time the other night and loved it. I love all things Japan, so throw Wolverine in there and it's an instant hit for me. How did I not know this before?!
Probably the most underrated X-men movie. Heck, it was easily better than any other superhero film that came out that year. Yeah, the third act brings it down from a great movie to just a good one, but still up until then it was nice to see a slower character driven superhero film, that even managed to make The Last Stand look better, which is no small feat. Also, the bullet train sequence is one of the best action scenes in the entire franchise.
Thing is that the scene where he opens his chest to take the spider-thingy is so intense and the fight with Shingen so emotionally strong that everything after that feels just a CGI fest with no reason to be there. Pretty much the same that happened with "Wonder Woman" (2017). They didn´t need a CGI super battle with a bigger baddy.
Hard agree. I love replaying this movie. It has some of the best Wolvy fight sequences and a half way decent story to go along with it. 3rd act does get a bit silly and often have to turn off at the samurai bot fight but otherwise brilliant. Extended edition adds a nice little it of fan service to the 3rd act
