@@gs8494I’ll catch this bird for ya, but ain’t gonna be easy - bad fish. Not like going down the pond chasin' blue gills or tommy cots. This shark - swallow ya whole.
“no horror” has never been a rule from lego. They do avoid violence and blood, and this set shows neither. There have been sets from movies far gorier than jaws
@@harwickbranch Same! Would look so great on one shelf. Raiders Temple in the middle since it’s a unique shape, and then the other two on either side. Now when’s the Schindler’s List diorama coming out LEGO? lmao
I think the price is on point. Very reasonable I don’t know if it would make sense for them to go any lower. 1$ per piece, 3 exclusive mini figs, that will most likely stay exclusive, licensing and very well made diorama. Definitely worth it. And if at some point it’s on sale for less it’s a must have steal.
I got the Raiders diorama as a birthday gift and it's currently my favourite set in my collection. I've been eyeing the Jurassic Park Diorama for a while, and after seeing this set being reviewed (just days after I saw Jaws for the first time), I really want to get this one as well, and complete the unofficial Spielberg Collection
Personally I'd choose Jaws over Raiders despite how much I love Indiana Jones. That temple set doesn't quite click for me whearas Jaws absolutely does.
Lego has knocked some SPielberg sets out of the park lately. First Jurassic Park diorama, then Indiana Jones Raiders set and now Jaws! So freaking cool!!
I would love to see a Star Trek Lego series I believe they could do amazing things specially the interior.. an enterprise , Excelcior or voyager ones? Ugh amazing
I like this set, finally something that isn't Marvel, DC or Star wars, will look forward to August 1st, characters look brilliant, as to both the boat and Bruce the shark. My only gripe is that the boat didn't come with more play features, a proper shark cage for one! It also should have been made bigger to accommodate the galley. Also, many times have you seen working winches provided on Lego boat sets, so why not on this one? Not to mention that the barrels have no way of connecting to Bruce. Lego missed an opportunity here. And would it have killed them to add a sound brick with da.....dum.......da...da.... dum....dum....(you get the picture?) Damn, in my mind, Lego missed the boat, but I'll still get it, after all I got to see this in the cinema back in the 70's and the bit where the head falls out gets me every time. Great review by the way. I also seen somewhere where there is a technic shark that moves, wouldn't that be something adding to the diorama.
One thing I definitly miss is the baseball bat, which is used by Quint to "work on" the radio device! Am I right? ... 🙂 ... Great review! Thanks for it!
Now that my number one set that I always wanted is now available, (this Jaws set) the number one set that I now want is the Psycho house complete with the whole motel . including all cabin's & the main characters also including Marine Crane's car.
I would have been interested in this set anywhere under $200. This is white whale for me as a collector with better value than half the Star Wars UCS sets that get released.
I wish Lego would have stuck closer to the original Ideas design. The scale was better, there were more details, and the shark looked amazing. The shark really suffers from looking too "toyetic" and looks nothing like the actual shark in the movie. I may still get this set, but I would definitely make some modifications.
My first set with such damaged pieces. The new paper bags are like fine grit sandpaper all they had to do was put those pieces in the already included plastic bag that has the black plates in it. Not happy
I have the Jurassic Park one and I'm pretty sure I will buy this one. Which means I will also have to buy Indiana Jones one to complete Spielberg's trilogy of dioramas
I think the tail/stand part for the shark is a great addition to a set targeted ad adults. If you don't wanna use it, u don't even have to build it. But for some it might be the reason they buy the set at all. And $150 for basically 1500 pieces, it doesn't feel overpriced at all. One of the best looking models they e ever done IMO
@@shadowlaughers101 I’m not one to ever defend legos pricing and I thought this set was quite overpriced until I watched this video. Those 3 16x16 blue pieces are insane and saved a shit ton of pieces that would have made the price more justifiable, just by looking at price per piece.
Hey! Would you be able to do a season 2 of my Lego Series? I will be doing a season 2 as well, but it's from a different perspective. I was hoping you could do a season 2 after my people jump in the portal. Of course, you might have to watch it first!
Bruce in finding Nemo was named after Bruce the shark from Jaws! Bruce was the name of Spielberg's lawyer and he named the shark after him! 🤣

The shark in the film doesn't look goofy in 99% of its shots. You're thinking of the sequels.

I got the pleasure of building this at work a few days ago. They killed it with this one. Looks great and building it was a blast.
I´ve just finished the boat (the "Orca") and it's just magnificent. Tomorrow evening I'll start building the shark and the diorama :)

This is awesome! Great vid dude👍👍👍
I LOVE that you can display the shark by itself or on the diorama
