Great video. I love the way your friend (with the red Canada hat) is eating and say his opinion about any slice of pizza. Wish you all the best, hope to be always in good mood like this.
I do miss Rome... miss eustachio cafe with all their coffee concoctions & had Giolitti after that ..... best of all was the Cacio e pepe from Roma Sparita recommended by the awesome Bourdain
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos 😂😂😂will do. It's 1:35am now, just got back to my Airbnb and was watching the video. Can't sleep, this place is Awesome
Hey Guy's, I'm watching this at 3.30 a.m and now my stomach is complaining and demanding pizza ! Guess a toasted ham & cheese sandwich will have to do. Love your videos you two. Jim.
This is such a cool and fun video! Thank you for the tips and price point on pizza and gelato! You guys are a great team including your Dad :-). Great job guys!!!
So nice to see your dad appreciate good pizza al taglio! Your parents are sweet and so patient! :) The pizza slice you had looks like radicchio and gorgonzola.
We went to Forno Roscioli and we saw the guy in your video and I was star struck! 😆 everyone was so nice and the pizza and pastries were delicious! We didn’t go to Giolitti but we went to Frigidarium and it was easily the best gelato I’ve ever had.
It's a pity that you guys missed Bonci Pizzarium near the vatican. I swear it taste Heaven, no wonder it's full of tourists. I would one day go back to rome again just for that.
AUDREY, SAM! Please can you say, in the videos you make, in which month of the year was the video filmed? Or write it in the description? I think it would improve your channel, and it would be really helpful for anyone who wants to plan a trip in the places you visit! Thanks :)
If u r still in Rome, th real romain dishes are in IL GHETTO near trastevere, or u can go to SORA LELLA in la isola Tiberina, and eat CARCIOFI ALLA GIUDIA!!! MAGNIFIQUE!!! (im living in France now,but i was born in Buenos aires, living in palermos!) greats videos!
madhavyu Rome is the most beautiful city on this planet! And I have already seen many cities in this world. Many people I know agree with me! Ciao ciao
My very first pizza was in Rome , '68 , a simple round of pizza bread , probably 8" in diameter , just smeared with tomato sauce , a simple basil leaf and half olive on top , from first bite I knew I would have to have this in my life. dad even allowed me to have a small glass of wine with it , just on the sidewalk , nothing fancy , I was in my 16th year ... My sons now scoff at me , "oh the first pizza Dad had was in Rome .. spoiled little brat " , it was just good fortune, not good management .... we are not and never were rich , just right place at the right time with a father who was adventurous and wanted to have his family experience the world ... Ya gotta love that
The best Pizza in Rome is at "Pizza Forum" near the Colosseo. We´ve tried around 20x different restaurants but this is the best. By the way, i´m pretty sure that it´s an older video. I was 3 weeks ago the last time in Rome again and it was sooo hot. So it lloks more like February or April ;)
Oh thank you for recommending! We'll have to check it out the next time we're in Rome. Yeah, we filmed this in February...haha It must be really warm now.
This place in Rome I am sure is touristy but likely popular amongst locals. Really enjoyed this place! Best pizza we had was in Rome compared to all the other cities we visited in Italy.
I remember on a visit to a hole in the wall place in Venice (which is the best pizza I ever had in my life) a customer who has been to North America many times said the only fast food chain that was close to real pizza is Pizza Hut. Note that was in 2001.
Good video as always. I am not a big fan of pizza here in the states but I might like it in Italy. American ice cream is such crap compaired to gelato. Your mom must be camera shy.
Italian food usually tastes better with a salad. I remember eating pizza at a restaurant owned by Italian immigrants. It was the Italian Village in Kingsport, Tennessee. That's in the United States. That pizza was delicious. Just because a pizza was made by an Italian immigrant doesn't mean it's going to be delicious. I remember eating pizza in a mall. The woman who made the pizza was Italian. The pizza was very bland. The same is true for Mexican food. Sometimes the food won't have much flavor even if the chef is Mexican. Italians usually put tomato sauce on pizzas. Alfredo sauce is good too. I've eaten lasagna made with ricotta cheese and Alfredo sauce.
Some people were complaining about the food in Italy. Tourists shouldn't assume all those local people in Italy are trained chefs. You definitely need to try lasagna made with ricotta cheese, spinach, and Alfredo sauce sometime. That was the best lasagna I've ever eaten. I'm not crazy about lasagna made with tomato sauce. I'm not sure if you have ever eaten pizza in Naples, Italy. Rick Steves said pizza was invented in Naples.
You can't compare Kulfi and Gelato. They give you different sensations as any of them is a different thing, like compare a fish dish with a chicken dish. My wife and I were in Rome in Nov of 08,I don’t know the name of the restaurant but the pizza was very runny and had very little cheese and lots of tomatoes, didn’t enjoy at all as a matter of fact I ordered something else.I was told that that’s the way pizza is in Rome and that the pizza we in America are used to can be found in Sicily, obviously I was told wrong🤔.
Sorry, mate, don't know where are you from, but in Rome THAT is "PIZZA". It's called "pizza al taglio" and you usually get it at bakeries or at specific places that sell just that kind of pizza ("pizzeria al taglio") or at diners ("tavola calda"). The classic rounded pizza is called "pizza al piatto" and you can eat it just at restaurants and pizzerias where you have to sit down at a table. "Focaccia" in Rome means another kind of food altogether: it's kind of a thick, soft slab of bread that you get at bakeries only. It's not a typical Roman food, we "imported" it from Genova and the Northern Italy in general.
Claudia Manfredini I'm from Naples, i don't want to make a discussion just for a name but i've talked to apulian and romans and they seems to call the pizzas "focaccia" because of the thickness and crispyness.
Nonoctoro Warning! You may have tasted wrong olive oil. Many olive oils sold abroad Italy are too much often are not EXTRA-VIRGIN rank and are made with a blend of European and African cheap olive qualities. Many olive oils in US are made with Olive pomace, that is the remaining paste of olives pressed again. Also if you have a very delicate tongue I advice you to avoid Southern Italy Olive Oil qualities that have very strong flavour and intense spicy smell, very robust on mouth palate, that can disgust people who are not experienced with olive oil. Before giving up once and for all, check a last time for Liguria Extra Virgin Light Olive Oil qualities. They are truly expensive but very smooth and delicate. If even Liguria Olive Oil will disgust you then it will be a matter of your personal experience preference taste and you can do nothing about it. At least it is how you are. Check on Google and/or Amazon for purchasing Liguria made oil and delicate sweet quality ones. 🤔
I lived in Rome in 1992 for a year and loved Pizza Bianca......the best.
That is so cool to hear!

Italian pizza -> Quality over quantity
Indeed!
Bobby Brady stfu lol
@Bobby Brady have you ever tried pizza in Italy or did you just came up with this statement because you come from the US?
@Bobby Brady just because your taste prefers Domino's, doesn't mean it is better than the original.
@Bobby Brady I was taking it as an example. Dickhead. Have you ever eaten pizza in some pizzerias in Naples?
You should try Italy during summer. Sun and sea are a must visiting Italy.
Oh Pizza 🍕 looks so delicious,
Enjoy every bite.
😋🇮🇹
Thank you! We sure did enjoy it :)
Great video.The pizza looked fabulous,the gelato amazing.Thanks for sharing😊🇨🇦

Great video. I love the way your friend (with the red Canada hat) is eating and say his opinion about any slice of pizza. Wish you all the best, hope to be always in good mood like this.
Thank you very much Chris!
@@samuelandaudrey Let me know when you come in Athens and i will show you the real thing and not the touristic traps. Best regards, have fun.
Pizzas are awesome in Italy, they have minimal toppings on most pizzas but the flavours are awesome.
Indeed! Love the simplicity and just how delicious they are.
I do miss Rome... miss eustachio cafe with all their coffee concoctions & had Giolitti after that ..... best of all was the Cacio e pepe from Roma Sparita recommended by the awesome Bourdain
Thank you very much! We felt just awful hearing about Anthony Bourdain passing away.

The pizza slice you had looks like radicchio and gorgonzola.
Thank you very much! It has been so much fun sharing this trip with them. They've been great company.
Wow how delicious
Thank you! It sure was a tasty outing.
Delicious pizzas! And the price was very good. And what about those gelatos! The Italian ice cream, to me, is the best one in the world, so creamy.
Thank you! It was amazing to have such good pizza followed up by delicious gelato. I'd be so fat if I lived in Italy...lol
Not the best pizza place in Rome but I still enjoyed this video
Thank you! Where would you recommend?
Trattoria Pizzeria Luzzi :)
cuándo abre su propio canal de TH-cam el suegro? jaja, se le nota lo gracioso. Abrazo desde Buenos Aires! Excelente video.
Los conocí hace mucho buscando videos de Italia... y no tenían de Roma! por fin!

We went to Forno Roscioli and we saw the guy in your video and I was star struck! 😆 everyone was so nice and the pizza and pastries were delicious! We didn’t go to Giolitti but we went to Frigidarium and it was easily the best gelato I’ve ever had.
That is great to hear Nate! Ah, we miss that so much.
It's a pity that you guys missed Bonci Pizzarium near the vatican. I swear it taste Heaven, no wonder it's full of tourists. I would one day go back to rome again just for that.
Thanks for sharing that! Hope we can check it out next time.
Pizzarium is not a pizzeria, it’s a jewelry!
Easy ingredient
Amazing Taste 😋

Indeed! :)
I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Thank you very much! :)
AUDREY, SAM! Please can you say, in the videos you make, in which month of the year was the video filmed? Or write it in the description? I think it would improve your channel, and it would be really helpful for anyone who wants to plan a trip in the places you visit! Thanks :)
Thank you for that great suggestion! We'll start doing that for future food vlogs.

Nice editing!
Thank you very much!
Wow! What a city ! I can't forget Roma ! I have to go again:) Is it the truth that Roma is the most beautifull city in the world, guys:)?
Bajlandia it is... 👍😉
Rome is one of the most disappointing cities that I have ever traveled to.
madhavyu Rome is the most beautiful city on this planet! And I have already seen many cities in this world. Many people I know agree with me! Ciao ciao
Thanks! That is so cool to hear. Yeah, in terms of architecture and history it is right up there!
Yammmy it's delicious
Thanks! It sure was :)
we went to the same place for pizza it was delicious we sat outside on the street to eat it
That's awesome! Yeah, it is a bit crowded inside. We were lucky to get the corner spot that we did. Did you have a favorite slice?
I Loved the tomato and mozzarella and the mortadella sandwich pizza

You certainly have to love that! It is those shared experiences that really are the magic of travel.
Love u guys
Thank you very much!
Pizza is amore!!
Thanks! It sure is!
Awesome vid! Will head there when I take my parents to Rome in Feb 2019! :) Is it cold in Rome atm, even in June??
Thank you! We were there in February so you can anticipate it being cold then. Just bring warm clothes and you will be fine.
The best Pizza in Rome is at "Pizza Forum" near the Colosseo. We´ve tried around 20x different restaurants but this is the best. By the way, i´m pretty sure that it´s an older video.

BIG QUESTION ...you both have had pizza from Naples and Rome ...which one do you guys prefer
Different styles but if I had to pick I'd go with the cheaper prices and original ones from Naples.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Well..the best thing in the most of your videos is that you bring your parents with you thank you' and take care of them
Thanks Omar! We love to travel with family.
yes, i do appreciate that coz' family is important, be happy@@samuelandaudrey
Those pizzas looks beautiful for my tummy decoration 😂
Hahaha...I hear you. Let's just say none of us lost weight in Italy ;)
This place in Rome I am sure is touristy but likely popular amongst locals. Really enjoyed this place! Best pizza we had was in Rome compared to all the other cities we visited in Italy.

Love pizza
Great to hear! We love pizza as well.
I like pizza
Cool to hear! So do we :)
Is this recent? Why’s everyone wearing jacket during the month of June in Rome? Ps.. i’m from Rome and I love your video ❤️
We filmed this in February.
Did anyone gain any weight, with all the beautiful carbs, and the unbelievable condiments?
We certainly did...haha
Nice
Thanks
I'm hungry guys.....😂😂😂
Wish we could share!
Is the first time you guys are revisiting a country twice, why did you not cover Rome last time you were Italy 3 months ago
Ah, good question. We knew we'd be back with my parents so we just decided to fly out at the end of our trip and then to do it together with them.
披薩看起來超好吃
?
Oueah ! After pizza the ice cream by Giolitti was like a control shot. This video deserves 3 likes because of Roma, Pizza e Gelato.
Thank you! Oh my gosh our taste buds got spoiled on that day ;)
I know it. I love Giolitti . I was there during last New Year's holidays.
Is there a traditional drink that goes with a pizza?
That is a good question! We've often paired ours with wine or beer.
Just to explain.
Pizza rossa means "Red pizza" and it´s just with tomato sauce, so "red"
Pizza bianca means "white pizza" and it´s without topping
Thanks for letting us know.
Italian food usually tastes better with a salad. I remember eating pizza at a restaurant owned by Italian immigrants. It was the Italian Village in Kingsport, Tennessee. That's in the United States. I definitely agree with you. I've had some bad bad food from locals making it.

When 9 out of 10 people talk about going out for Italian then mean they want to eat pizza
Hahahaha...indeed! We're definitely in that camp ;)
AHH ROMA CHE BELLO
Abbiamo adorato la pizza a Roma.
Pizza at bonci.Your gelato choice is solid..(old)..Coffee at tazza D'oro ...Trastevere maybe some bread..(Also old)..Your welcome...Forza Roma.
thanks
😍
Thanks!
THere is nothing more horrible than being gluten free and watching this. The pain is real
Oh, I can imagine. How about gluten free pizza options?
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos Hehe :) You know how gluten free pizza tastes - piece of cardboard with toppings. Love your foodie vlogs
PIZZA!!!!!!
Gotta love pizza!
If Americans say that some thing tastes good, I have 0 doubt that it’s delicious
Tastes great. However, charged for incorrect pizza (charged for the more expensive ones) and pretty unfriendly staff.
One will forget gelato after tasting Indian koolfi. ...
We need to try that!
You can't compare Kulfi and Gelato. They give you different sensations as any of them is a different thing, like compare a fish dish with a chicken dish.
Gelato is frozen ice crystals with different flavours including cold custard milk and/or syrups.
Kulfi is a spicy milk custard made boiling milk, thicken it, and that in the end it is eaten frozen.
The closest idea it is like freezing Chantilly Custard or eating a frozen Tiramisù...
And not even close taste because custard in Tiramisù is just zabaione whipped egg yolk with sugar not even a custard.
Enjoy your Kulfi and enjoy your Gelato. They are different things. 😀😎😘
Can't believe how many nicknames Bobby D attracts - but DAD? That has to be a first.......:-)......and congratulations - the video actually made the first 29 seconds before someone mentioned food - that should have been the title of the video - 29 SECONDS......:-)
Dad? What Dad? It's Pumpy D or Bobby D or bust ;)
Samuel and Audrey - Travel and Food Videos it's that simple....☺

E pensare che noi la pizza la mangiamo quando non abbiamo niente da mangiare 😂 comunque siete simpatici, spero tornerete e portate pure i genitori!
Querem comer pizza excelente? Venham em São Paulo, Brasil
:)
Should have gone to Pizza Zizza by the Vatican.
Ah, thanks for sharing. Next time :)
Tourist's trap
in america we say pizza face (faccia bruta) - ciao tutti!!
Pizza face!
I think it is hard for you understanding when a real italian pizza is well done. Focus yourself in what you know
?
?
When I was in Rome, I couldn't wait to get back to Canada to have real Italian food. LOL. Seriously, I wasn't impressed with any food I had in Europe.
This is actually not pizza but focaccia which is another thing.
Oh, thanks for letting us know.
Sorry, mate, don't know where are you from, but in Rome THAT is "PIZZA". If only I could like Olive Oil ...
THE TASTE MAKE ME VOMIT

You look very funny trying to convince how good Italian pizza is. It is not a very healthy food even though it may taste good.
Italian pizza is quite healthy.
Just keep eating it and your butt in ten years is going to be the size of that large pizza.
perhaps, but it does make life a little better. can't live your entire life worrying about calories and how much you weigh. you have to find a balance
True, but with every bite the balance goes against you.
having a pizza every once in a while won't end you. it's fine to enjoy things
Hi guys!! En Argentina hay pizzas y helados mejores... Sorry!
This makes me realise what a rip off english prices and food is.
Some good deals to be had in Italy
Pizza is abbsolutely disguising in italy
yamahaevo not true!!!
the pizzas i've eten in (northern) Italy were tasteless.
Where is the best pizza you've had?
Recently in Dieppe, France.
not as disgusting as your mum ZING !!!!!
Was just in Italy.....hated the pizza, boring and tasteless, I’ll stick to my Chicago deep dish
Chicago Deep Dish is legendary. The cool thing about pizza is you have lots of options depending on your own taste.
Jesus Sam who eat ice cream like that 7:59, it alright if it drip dude its just an Ice cream let it go.
Hahahaha...oh man
I couldn't eat ice cream that quick, quite impressive lol
