And also when they added a bunch of simultaneous attacks as well. Hopefully they leave that in when they finally publish the full version of it.

The mothership being such a good unit now makes me so happy. Finally, it doesn't feel like a throw to build one. Also, one last change i wish to see is observers being cybercore tech and then built somewhere else instead of robo bay. The new changes really helped Toss scouting but having detection earlier would be better.
around 42:30 some people that cant really explain certain processes probably have weaved so much reinforced logic/optimization into this "ball" that they auto-execute as one node as they move onto the next thought, that it becomes difficult to undo that ball of yarn and explain it, i guess

The ghost nerf was actually massive. You get 1 less marine per ghost made. That severely impacts and nerfs terran max out power, slightly weakens pre-max power. I still think it's a great nerf as high utility spellcasters SHOULD take up a lot of supply. The weaker army is noticeable and balances Terran nicely. Now Terran have to give up eco in workers or army to fill the void.
The nerf is excessive. I don't think it should be nerfed at all actually, given High Templar are 2 supply, cheaper, and have a better AoE damage spell than EMP shield damage.
@@bentanaka8260 EMP is burst damage, Storm is damage over time. You can escape from full damage in Storm but you cannot escape the full damage in EMP. You take all the damage at once unless your army is mostly stalkers in which case marauders will already do the job themselves.
Imagine if EMP had uncapped damage vs cheaper units (alot of Toss units have less than 80 shields) and could kill units and like storm and novas can. Oh and EMP dodging isn't a thing. Stimmed mauraders at the edge are probably the only unit fast enough and w/ enough HP to not take full damage. With perfect "dodge" micro, storm is still going to deal 80-100% of its damage. EMP can deal 0% of its damage, such as if it's cast mid-fight after regular units already took off shields.

But they survive 90% of the storms and get healed by Medivacs - the only time we see storms kill marines is if they are already stimmed, low, and sit in it for at least a second. + mid fight after the shields are “already taken”, damage is concentrated at the front or single unit. Most of the Protoss units retain shields until emp is shot. Emp is simply a much stronger feedback. Emp will always deal significant damage, and once the shields are gone Protoss cannot regenerate their health. *emp will almost always deal more damage than storms unless targeted at zealots. *emp is undodgeable. *emp targets the most critical part of a Protoss units health. *emp also removes cloaking and energy. For these reasons, emp is simply an unbalanced spell.
Loving the new patch, Sc2 is in the best state ever, Protoss Mama Ship is finally a cool tactical unit, Energy ability is way better than overcharge, keep it up!

Toss army is now enough to stand toe to toe with other armies. But variety in the tactic seems to be decreasing. At least it was a cheese race. Now it's rush mothership +5 tempest or die trying. Which feels Zergy, but nothing wrong with that.

I'll throw in my own metal league opinion on "Is it BM to win slowly?". No, absolutely not. It's not the winner's responsibility to set the pace of the match, it's up to the losing player to prove why we're still playing. If I'm in a winning position at the 20 minute mark, I'd much rather win at minute 45 than lose at minute 25.
The Protoss player has more bases than the Terran the entire game, but the Terran can still put up a fight, I will never understand this about the game.
I wonder how feasible it would be to "rush" economy and start just spamming stalkers with base gateways? Taking lossy trades, as Lowko would say; zerging the opponent

Yeah Astrea definitely blundered there by not splitting those tempest. He had all the time in the world to pre-split and only 4 units so it woulda been easy. Compare that to Terran having 10+ units (bio) that must be split within like 1s to avoid losing 100% HP by 1 disrupter or squad of banelings hit.
So are battleships extinct from pro play now? i thought they were really good for just warping in and wiping out workers and running away, or flying in warping out. I get the high cost, but if you kept one alive to pester your opponent you could do a lot of damage without massing them right? I guess having a lot of cheaper units is just more valuable from pro gamers eyes, makes sense tho.
The only way to balance this game is to delete Terran entirely. The fact that Terrans do not dominate the big tournaments, just shows how low the actual skill level of most of them is.
I know this aint a zerg game but Im still advocating for a supply increase for the zerg. I feel and it looks like zerg really got the short end of the stick this patch.
