I have to say the other caster really impressed me. He was very up on the metagame, had confidence in not trying to fill the Tasteless comedy / play by play gap and seemed very comfortable working with Artosis. I've found previous substitute casters to be a bit grating because they try to make up the Tastosis byplay and banter but here he's just doing his own thing and honestly this is the first non Tastosis cast I've watched in a long time.
Agree he did well. One of the great skills of Artosis seems to be that he makes other casters do well beside him. We've seen it again and again, and heard others comment on it

Gemini did great; he let Artosis lead but still contributed a great deal to the cast in knowledge, passion, AND humor. The fact that he and Artosis already knew each other and were friends really showed in how chill and respectful they were with each other during the cast.

Tasteless is the man but I gotta say I'm totally digging the Artosis+Gemini vibe too. Love all the nostalgia references and Gemini had some really quick reads and analysis to boot.
Dexter Douglas Overly harsh give the guy a chance. He is new and already better than Rotterdam and the others in EU. Artosis and Tasteless are the MVCasters though

Gotta say I'm at a stage of life where I pretty exclusively watch Tastosis matches, but I really could get used to Gemini. Pleasant, confident, and you can tell that he's genuinely passionate (and crazy knowledgeable) about the scene. Would 100% watch more Gemini casted matches.
omg, I was too high yesterday. I thought that I had been watching a lowko video and wondered why it got so late and eventually just went to bed. But in reality I had been watching 2 hours and 44 minutes of GSL SuperTournament... I mean wattah fakk.
Maru is such a god. He prioritizes Vikings so much more heavily than any other Terran in TvT. Every single time, but no other Terran will adopt his style which tells you how difficult it must be to play. and to answer the casters question why Maru is down on army supply compared to Cure, it's because Maru invested into tech, and upgrades quicker than Cure (game 4)
It's so nice seeing everyone agreeing that Gemini did a great job as tassels replacement. Definitely the top choice for future occasions! Also, if Arty is ever away for a cast I would love to see Special fill in, how awesome would that be
Love the Tasteless-style sign-off by Gemini at the end. He did a great job of the whole cast. Clearly a VERY analytical guy with a tonne of game knowledge. I wouldn't want him and artosis to cast heaps together, just because it was lacking a bit on the play-by-play-commentary. As an occasional thing though, was really cool to get so much deep analysis
Gemini did a great job here, everyone agrees that Tastosis is the power couple of commentary but Gemini adds a great perspective in the more analytical aspects of the matches as well as being charismatic enough to match Artosis

Kinda nice having a different caster in. Love tastosis. But I think it'd be nice if they rotated between 3 casters more regularly or had guest casters join in. I know being in Korea and Covid makes that probably difficult but it keeps things a bit fresh.
GGemini the best substitute caster in GSL so far. Thing is before this I always thought he was a joke since all the other casters were always roasting him about his shrine for Trap. I remember the camera focusing in on him in the spectator stands cursing Maynard for that during GSL vs The World. Well done GGemini.
Impossible to fill Tasteless' shoes, but Gemini did a fantastic job. I'm usually disappointed when there's any substitute caster, but this guy is great. Hope he's the substitute every time they need one.
Gemini did great. One suggestion, don't shorten words that don't need to be shortened, like Ino instead of Inovation and Nat instead of Natural. Generally speaking the length of words won't interupt the flow of commentary, and finishing them is more apealing to the ear, as sometimes if someone is only half listening/paying attention they might miss the shortened word and think you aren't finishing sentences.
Looking at the comments, I'm kind of surprised that so few people recognize Gemini... He's been in the scene since the beginning, and has quite the community presence. He did a solid job casting, I feel!
I love how the TH-cam comments are way more mature than the Stream chat comments XD. Probably the immediate shock of the caster switch contributing to that.
Innovation and Stats really showing the difference between top and bottom of GSL. Inno was up like 30 supply every game before there was even any battles.
When Maru crushed Cure in game 2 at the end Gemini said “it’s a wash”. That actually means it was even and not one sided. You literally broke my brain using the term to mean its opposite. Tasteless is the man but I gotta say I'm totally digging the Artosis+Gemini vibe too. Love all the nostalgia references and Gemini had some really quick reads and analysis to boot.
Tastosis is my boy, but Gemini did fantastic. He was relaxed and knowledgeable. Usually I’ll tune out if it’s a new caster. They’re so awkward.
I wasnt sure about the cast (first time i see him).. but gotta say i really enjoy Gemini casting today good work!! Hope see him more frecuently

Gotta say I'm at a stage of life where I pretty exclusively watch Tastosis matches, but I really could get used to Gemini. Pleasant, confident, and you can tell that he's genuinely passionate (and crazy knowledgeable) about the scene.
Would 100% watch more Gemini casted matches.

omg, I was too high yesterday. I thought that I had been watching a lowko video and wondered why it got so late and eventually just went to bed. But in reality I had been watching 2 hours and 44 minutes of GSL SuperTournament... I mean wattah fakk.
Maru is such a god. He prioritizes Vikings so much more heavily than any other Terran in TvT. Every single time, but no other Terran will adopt his style which tells you how difficult it must be to play. and to answer the casters question why Maru is down on army supply compared to Cure, it's because Maru invested into tech, and upgrades quicker than Cure (game 4)

Gemini did a great job here, everyone agrees that Tastosis is the power couple of commentary but Gemini adds a great perspective in the more analytical aspects of the matches as well as being charismatic enough to match Artosis

Kinda nice having a different caster in. Love tastosis. But I think it'd be nice if they rotated between 3 casters more regularly or had guest casters join in. I know being in Korea and Covid makes that probably difficult but it keeps things a bit fresh.

GGemini the best substitute caster in GSL so far. Thing is before this I always thought he was a joke since all the other casters were always roasting him about his shrine for Trap. I remember the camera focusing in on him in the spectator stands cursing Maynard for that during GSL vs The World. Well done GGemini.
Impossible to fill Tasteless' shoes, but Gemini did a fantastic job. I'm usually disappointed when there's any substitute caster, but this guy is great. Hope he's the substitute every time they need one.
Gemini did great. One suggestion, don't shorten words that don't need to be shortened, like Ino instead of Inovation and Nat instead of Natural.
Generally speaking the length of words won't interupt the flow of commentary, and finishing them is more apealing to the ear, as sometimes if someone is only half listening/paying attention they might miss the shortened word and think you aren't finishing sentences.
There's something different about Tastelss, I just can't put my finger on it.
Looking at the comments, I'm kind of surprised that so few people recognize Gemini... He's been in the scene since the beginning, and has quite the community presence. He did a solid job casting, I feel!
I love how the TH-cam comments are way more mature than the Stream chat comments XD. Probably the immediate shock of the caster switch contributing to that.
Innovation and Stats really showing the difference between top and bottom of GSL. Inno was up like 30 supply every game before there was even any battles.
