Lowko, I want to say thank you for totally transforming my SC2 gameplay. It had never occurred to me to play faster and to stop making mistakes! GSL here I come!
I like seeing Lowko bloopers. Like the time you went "i skipped the first two minutes because everything is normal" in a game with Scarlett, and you jumped to the not-zerg side to see she had a proxy hatch in the natural that was like 50% complete.
ahhh, the OG intro, an hour-and-fifteen minute series, a can of root beer, and a King size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. *this'll be fun* I'd be fine with blooper wheels, Lowko!
I gotta say that last game was just a nail biter from start to finish. It felt like that last running battle just ran nonstop for the last ten minutes. What a great way to cap off the year!
31:00 As a Dota player/ Esports enjoyer (way before I started watching SC2), yeah, SC2 was super confusing when i started watching it. References to different timings, costs, tech requirements etc. A lot of that knowledge costs from playing (or watching a lot). Ex. I watched Lowko for YEARS until i learned that scans are visible to both players. ( i thought only the player scanning knew where the scan was or if the terrain was scanning). Or how the micro for SC2 is vs MOBAs. In Dota, to cast an ability on a unit in a shared group, you have to tab between each unit, so it's confusing first seeing a group of 20 stalkers blink at once because it's like "how fast is that guy's repeat rate"? That said, an SC2 player would kill micro in any MOBA. If you can handle micro-ing a group of 3 different units (all with their own abilities, like vipers, infestors, with lurkers or something) then you would be a killer Beast Master or Arc Warden player, maybe even Meepo. Going from having to worry about 20 different units to like 2 is crazy. I would love to see Clem micro Lone Druid's bear like he can micro reapers.
I think the difference is that you can learn to understand Starcraft by watching. MOBAs, that's more or less impossible, I think. A main reason for that being that in Starcraft what you see on screen is mostly what you get; in MOBAs there's a million stat-changing things that are not immediately visible or apparent that nevertheless mean the world with how situations play out.
31:00 imagine getting 700 APM on a single unit with micro, that be League of legends. Now imagine doing that with a team trying to synchronize cooldowns. And YES, SC2 is as confusing as other e-sports if you never followed the game, or watch lots of series. I had no idea what was going on with anything until SC2 became free to play and i got to learn it.
If you have any significant bloopers it'd be real funny to see them in the very end of the video, doesn't have to be every video but just when exceptional bloopers happen
Thank you lowko for the video. FYI,starcraft is about a hundred units with 1 or 2 abilities each, whereas Dota is about choosing 10 ,five in each side, heroes from a150 heroes, each with 4 unique abilities, some passive and some active , and there are no unit controls, just hero controls, and there are a load of items too. Too memorize that is a skill I haven't achieved and I used to play in for 4 years😅
I've just started watching after drifting away years ago when EG incontrol passed, rest in peice geoff. And one if the things I've enjoyed in the last few days is how similar things are. Maps etc. Are new, and some units and upgrades are new but it's pretty accessible still :)
31:31 I think it’s easier to understand what’s happening in starcraft than league, bc as a whole there’s less people interacting(two guys fighting in 4 places is easier to understand than 10 interacting in one spot) but parsing *why* the guy who won did so later is now difficult.
In my opinion one of the very few esports that are super fun to watch and easy to understand for people who don't play video games often is Rocket League. It's just the simplest of concepts that everybody knows: there's the ball, there are two teams, the ball needs to go into the other team's goal. every other thing is kind of confusing and there are too many things going on at the same time that the viewer doesn't know the significance of. With RL you just have the one focus point: the ball. And there are things going on on the rest of the pitch, and they're obviously also important, but they're not essential and you can still absolutely understand ingenious plays on the ball when they happen. And everybody loves to watch goals. Everybody understands without a problem who is in the lead, what happens at overtime and the concept of a golden goal.
That requires drones AND larvae. This isn't like a Terran spamming a ring of turrets. A spore is one less miner or soldier. In high pressure games, like fighting against Clem, the larva is needed for fighting. Also, you have to take into account the APM required. It's so easy to bury a mine compared to clearing it. Pulling a mine is even more insane, with probably only Serral having a high success with it.
Maru was the best Terran and player in the world, accumulatively for years and years. Clem has managed to surpass Maru recently, and Maru seems to have mildly regressed from number one to top twenty somewhere.
I’d be a viper in Serral’s army. Or a Ghost in Maru’s Army. Or an inferstor in Dark’s army. Or a Prism in Hero’s Army 😂. I think those have the best chances.
2:50 - A midlife reaper casually manages to kill a creep tumor set back in the creep, behind 2 queens and 5 lings... Solar is bad ou Clem is awesome? BTW, I'd be an obs in Zest army. Best survival chances 😊
Good Tip: Do things faster ! After some month of totally unsuccessful attempts to get better by working at my STRATEGY it came to my mind, that SC is only in 2nd place a strategy game but 1st place a high tempo performance game. That was the point when I quitted playing it. I was a slow gamer in my 20s (totally untalented in general I can do NOTHING fast in my live and mess up everyhing when I have to do it fast) and then in my 40s it didn't made any sense to try getting faster.
Not really feeling Clem's mines, sure mixing a few in seems good but the complete disregard for Tanks for mines feels like he was losing more then needed since the mines just dont have that consistent damage like a sieged up tank Edit: Also for the question on SC2 for casual viewers, i can confirm SC2 is very understandable. A lot of the units and buildings are very self-explanatory, and the ones that aren't usually only take a moment of looking at to understand "Oh thats what that does"
How have I watched like all of your videos and just now learn that one of your cat’s name is Toby? One of mine is named Tobes, we’re basically the same person lowko.
"...the harassment here by the zerg is insane though..." Yep. As soon as he got Vipers it was GG. They took out 3 Medivacs, 8 Marines (in the Medivacs), and many Liberators that should have slowed the Zerg down. Zerg have too many spellcasters, and the normal units also upgrade to "better" units (which is equivalent to Stimpacks on Terran). Adding multiple spellcasters with long range damaging and CC-ing spells is where they win 99% of the time. Without ALL of their spellcasters it's an even 50/50 and good games. 😔
Hey Lowko I think you call him "Jimmy" the marine, after Jim Raynor. Recommend you call him "Jibby" when he's a pile of gibs floating towards the camera.
Lowko, I want to say thank you for totally transforming my SC2 gameplay.
It had never occurred to me to play faster and to stop making mistakes!
GSL here I come!
You better win GSL, it's the only tournament that matters after all.
Brilliant advice!
Lowko not helping me be productive on a Sunday.
I just finished a ton of paperwork and open TH-cam and this is the first thing I see
Cleaning just got delayed by an hour.
Love it :)
😂
Customers are getting mad at me right now
Yep. My Bookdeadline is now an hour nearer.
I like seeing Lowko bloopers. Like the time you went "i skipped the first two minutes because everything is normal" in a game with Scarlett, and you jumped to the not-zerg side to see she had a proxy hatch in the natural that was like 50% complete.
1 hour of Clem playing - exactly what I need before falling asleep 😊
both fans and haters agree on that one
Just got back from shoveling snow in the freezing rain. Now I get to enjoy a Clem game while drinking some hot chocolate!
Im just feeling wholesome after hearing that intro.
What an intro! Amazing every single time!!!
You had me at Clem. I don't need to read the rest of the thumbnail😂
Same!
ahhh, the OG intro, an hour-and-fifteen minute series, a can of root beer, and a King size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
*this'll be fun*
I'd be fine with blooper wheels, Lowko!
That'd last me all the way until there was one hour and 13 minutes left
He did the thing !!!!
I gotta say that last game was just a nail biter from start to finish. It felt like that last running battle just ran nonstop for the last ten minutes. What a great way to cap off the year!
lol lowko bombing his prepped videos is the best thing this week, cheers! kepp 'em comin
If I had to choose which unit I would like to be to survive the battle? defenitely a Raven, I wouldn't even get deployed! :)

5:50 Tobey the dropper lord
We 100% need that short of lowko being jump scared by his cat.
I see Lowko posting video, i click like.
I hear Lowko's classic intro, I'm writing comment.
I'm a simple guy 😂
59:16 Lowko: OOOOO AHHHHH the classic from like tv shows and stuff lol

Wish we couldve witnessed Lowko in the C&C Generals days too. That was an awesome RTS as well.
If we had lowko doing the same thing for aliens vs. Predator 2010 would've been the future fps game
43:21 clem raises the depots to fry the last zerglings, nasty
The two random cyclones weren't mistakes, they were foreshadowing
Can you please cast hero vs heromarine? That match is a great one!
I've just started watching after drifting away years ago when EG incontrol passed, rest in peice geoff.
And one if the things I've enjoyed in the last few days is how similar things are. Maps etc. Are new, and some units and upgrades are new but it's pretty accessible still :)
Thanks for the cast. ^^
Planned on using this for my bedtime audio, but had to save it for my breakfast content after the 1-1 start
1:08:16 moonwalking ultralisk!
Nice 😂
i don't know this game basically at all but Lowko is hilarious and engaging
What unit would I be? A Thor, rarely ever made these days so I'd be home rocking to music all day
"You have to take it with a grain of salt." lol
lol he did the opening
31:31

Is the game as confusing? How many spell casters were used in the match. If more than 3 spell casters were used then yeah it’s pretty confusing -
In my opinion one of the very few esports that are super fun to watch and easy to understand for people who don't play video games often is Rocket League. Why does zerg never make more spore crawlers? Would it not help with widowmine detection and slow down air drops?
That requires drones AND larvae. This isn't like a Terran spamming a ring of turrets. A spore is one less miner or soldier. In high pressure games, like fighting against Clem, the larva is needed for fighting. Also, you have to take into account the APM required. It's so easy to bury a mine compared to clearing it. I think the main way to counter the Terran micro consistently is to kill off the medivacs with bomb and fungal as they save the units from banes
He did it boys!🎉
Yes, do a blooper reel cut. Would be fun listening to.
1:06:05
the widow mine pickup
30:33 Funnily enough dota pro players' APM was so low that valve removed the counter during one of the internationals
Doing the ol Lowko intro? I was like WHAT YEAR IS IT
MaxPax Oracle has a long life time on the battlefield
Remember kids, friends don't let friends build panic ultras. The more you know!
Why isn’t solar making spires and corrupters to deal with the medivacs?
Add the bloopers at the end of the video, I think it'd be great!
Still waiting for Clem Vs Reynor (PvP)
This video will be very good lets watch it
2nd
Release the cat footage!!
Love the smell of sc2 in the morning.
I'd want to be one of Stats' probes. No one protects their units like Stats and his precious workers. 🖤
nice shot from widow mines, spam widow mines and hope they can shot a group of baneling
1:06:03 Insane micro from Clem
It took me month or 2 to really understand what I was watching when you popped up in my feed so it's hard
Love the videos, keep it up!
Swarm hosts definitely have the highest survival rate
Maru was the best Terran and player in the world, accumulatively for years and years. Clem has managed to surpass Maru recently, and Maru seems to have mildly regressed from number one to top twenty somewhere.
We want the blooper reel!
Lowko, please do a blooper at the end of a video, I think it could be a fun addition!
Lowko blooper reel when?
Yes dude the old intro!!
Hey My Name Is phlanxsmurf! Love it.
Im bored at work. Thanks for always entertaining me Lowko
I love bloopers
I still stand by my opinion that nerfing the Baneling was the worst balancing decision over the past 4 years.

Give us a short of the casting cat scare, please!
Random thought, but I miss when husky fans would call the 1-1-1, the “Destiny Cloudfist build” lol
Hello every one in comment section. His name is Lowko and I love this intro!
GAME OF THE YEAR!!
You spoilered the outcome in the thumbnail lowko. Was that intentional?
Not really feeling Clem's mines, sure mixing a few in seems good but the complete disregard for Tanks for mines feels like he was losing more then needed since the mines just dont have that consistent damage like a sieged up tank
Edit: Also for the question on SC2 for casual viewers, i can confirm SC2 is very understandable. A lot of the units and buildings are very self-explanatory, and the ones that aren't usually only take a moment of looking at to understand "Oh thats what that does"
I'd like to be a stalker in maxpax army, but certainly not a zealot
Wasnt solar a toss player?
There is another MOBA out there, they call it a Heroes Brawler
How have I watched like all of your videos and just now learn that one of your cat’s name is Toby? One of mine is named Tobes, we’re basically the same person lowko.
The most durable unit in the game is a battlecruiser. Your odds of survival are best as a battlecruiser.
Lowko never fails to spawn my pool 😁😁
We need the cat footage !
"...the harassment here by the zerg is insane though..."

Do a quarterly or end of the year blooper reel
Hey Lowko I think you call him "Jimmy" the marine, after Jim Raynor. Recommend you call him "Jibby" when he's a pile of gibs floating towards the camera.
Solar is one Form before morphing into a Serral
Why Blizzard never made a Ghost of a Thousand Rebukes? Ayo! Catch n Re-Lease? Can't a Wut Sunshrine?
Goat M'ilks? Uhuhu, Tyvm.,. Sugar
Let us hear de recoding!!! for the people🤣
Remember Karen, when running away from marines you don't need to be faster than the marines you just need to be faster than Brenda.
Honestly, I think a runby zealot in MaxPax army gives you the best chance of survival...
Your subtle jokes make the cast.
He did it guys he did the thing
Toby we love you
I swear I know more pets called toby than people XD
Terran is the best, because they always had the best music.
Btw you don't pronounce the T in Clement. He's silent.
As a french i'm always frustrated when you say it.
But that's fine I still love you Lowko.
Lowko messes up everything when he tries to be different or whatever.
Its honestly impressive at this point
can we get a blooper real like once a week? that would a vid worth i would say
what a game :o
Had to restart a catst. Meowch.
