A Twilight Cleric and a Paladin walk into a bar... Seriously, once the auras start coming online, with heavy armor and shields, an Assassin Rogue for Sneak Attack madness and a Wizard for AoE spell funsies and you have a party that Bards will sing about for ages!
Came literally to say this. My gloomstalker was already incredible, and then she became a twilight cleric, and now she's still a relatively low level PC but a powerhouse nonetheless.
A lot of people are forgetting to mention that twilight sanctuary makes DIM LIGHT. So as long as you have it up, you don’t have to be in the dark to fly, you can use the flight ability anytime your Twilight Sanctuary is active.
@@rogerwilco2 I suggest you learn how to speak to people a little nicer. You come off as extremely condescending. I know the difference, it was a typo.
This is correct. Though the video said fly speed, but it's essentially discount fly; since it only moves at your standard movement speed, but just in the air.. Still amazing though for the level you get it at.
The first night I played a twilight cleric my group faced an encounter that would have killed all of us. My cleric pulled us through with Twilight Sanctuary paired with Aura of Vitality. Wicked fight!
One of my favorite moments in my D&D games was my Tiefling Twilight Cleric basically solo-ing a goblin zombie invasion at a fort. Moonbeam + Turn/Destroy Undead = happy devil girl of shadows.
A couple of notes. Twilight Sanctuary distributes 1d6 plus your Cleric Level in Temp HP, not just 1d6. Also, if you are concentrating on Greater Invisibility then cast Banishment, you will then lose concentration on Greater Invisibility - use with caution.
Unless you set up glyph of warding with greater invis. Then it doesn't have concentration. Also meaning you can cast spirit guardian and fly around the room like a fucking nightmare for a minute
Flavor wise I like the idea of a Twilight Cleric and circle of stars druid multiclass. It seems, thematically very cool. Don't know how good it would be in practice but since they are both wisdom casters I don't see why it couldn't work.
it could work if your Dm lets you get around the Whole metal thing with bone and what not. otherwise druid metal ick is a bummer. I have a Dwarven life cleric who is gonna dip 2 lvls in Wildfire druid. he's letting me forge Dwarven Bone plate to get around it. that way i can teleport my single brain celled party to me for healing who like to run off on their own.
I recently finished playing a campaign as a Twilight Cleric and holy wow as someone who loves support builds, it was definitely a great feeling to be able to keep my party safe even when our dm understandably adjusted our encounters to still challenge our party of very powerful subclasses lol Twilight Sanctuary is even better than what was mentioned in the video since it also adds your Cleric level to temp hp rolls so I was sometimes giving a whole 12 extra temp hp to some allies simply by being near them
yea it makes balancing encounters almost impossible for DMs. reducing the temp hp it gives out is honestly easier than trying to play around it, still an incredible subclass.
20+ year dm that wastes way too much time on youtube offering feedback on your first video I've seen: one of THE best balances of information and humor I've ever seen. I really have no constructive criticism I could offer, and I usually would. Subbed and looking forward to more.
Fun fact with Steps of Night; going by RAW, you only have to be in dim light or darkness when you ACTIVATE it; after that, during the minute, you can fly into bright light and still not lose it.
There is also some debate about whether or not your Twilight Sanctuary, which is filled with dim light, allows you to start your flight in broad daylight/sunlight. The RAW community states that the sanctuary text doesn't block other light, and bright light, in nature, overcomes dim. However, most DMs, at least in my experience, let it fly... Pun intended.

Twilight Clerics are so "strong" because they finally make temp HP/healing _useful._ Healing in combat is completely nonviable, most healing spells are too weak to actually keep a character in the fight for another round and you're better off waiting for them to go down and bringing them up again with a Healing Word.
