    When setting up your tracker you need to set the reference point otherwise it takes it from the start of the clip and not from where you start the tracking (this is if you are starting your track in the middle of the clip somewhere) The option comes up in the tracking options.

    Yooo. Look, i just wanted to say thank you and to tell you that since i started my YT channel NOBODY has helped me nearly as much as you. I have 8 videos now and since about the second or third one i found your vids. You can definitely notice the evolution of my cuts because every time i go through a video i watch more or your instructions. I am definitely starting to love you!!! Great work, great videos, great person. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

    5:16 It could be because you created the b-spline on the last frame while the tracker takes the first frame as reference.
    So you have to either create the mask on the first frame or set the tracker up to take the last frame as a reference frame.
    Hope this helps :) Great video!

    hey billy, great video, can you please give me tips for masking out a particular object from a long clip like a 500 frames clip fast and efficiently? also at 5:58 i think we should add another effect to invert the clip sideways the whole thing so it looks natural because its a reflection.

    • @BillyRybka
      @BillyRybka  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha yeah you are right! That would have made it even better!
      For the masking, I made a video on a tool called RunwayML. I dont get any money at all for putting their name out. I truly believe they are absolutely a life saver!
      Here is the video: th-cam.com/video/J69NM829aTs/w-d-xo.html
      Here is RunwayML: runwayml.com/
      Honestly, id suggest saving the 3-6 hours its going to take to truly get a good and accurate mask & pay for the plan, then cancel it after 1 month. Masking is painful lol

    Hey :) I want to put any mask on a planar tracker. Like I have a street where I put a text / logo an and then it comes in like the street lines. It works perferktly. Just i want the logo to hide when it comes to an edge. Normally no problem, but in this case any mask is just doing weird things. Like instead of the edges you see...its totally screwed. As if there is an input from ....ah I have no clue. It all works but not if i want the tracker masked.(I dont want to track my mask, i want to hide the tracked logo) would appreciate your advice :)

      billy uses a setup called "orthogonal pipes". if you right click in your node graph, not on a node, you will get options for how fusion will draw lines to and from your nodes. some people like hard right angled lines, some people like linear straight lines. it functions the same. its just for organization. but tutorials with orthagonal lines confuses some people because they think the "pipes" are all one, when really there could be many, its just that the lines are drawn on top of each other. and you need to drag from the little node tab to get your connections going, click on the little node box (the little nub on the node) and click, hold, drag and youll see your lines, then drag it on top of the next node. do some VERY basic tutorials to learn fusion and youll be happy. once the concepts make sense youll have VERY powerful options to do compositing. good luck

    • @flipnap2112
      @flipnap2112 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      make sure you did the "alpha" node step. you may have to right click and "creat alpha node". if you dont have the blue node dotted line you will have no alpha channel to "let in" the other clip. or just do it in fusion, its a lot easier

    I dont know why the mask moves. I have a similar issue in v16. I make some poker content and we add graphics in the exact same spot every single video. Sometimes I'll do multiple poker hands on one time line and and everything goes perfect for a few hands. The graphic sits at exactly ×-841 y-437, then suddenly a few hands in Iadd a graphic and input the coordinates and its off screen, when I move it to where it goes it shows coordinates x-420y-216. I dont know why. Im not changing anything cause this type of editing is basicly data entry. Drag drop clip, drag and drop graphic, input coordinates, add blur dissolve on the end, go to the next one.

  • @moodberry
    @moodberry 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Hmmm. Did I learn something? I suppose. But the speed at which you add nodes leaves me scratching my head wondering what just happened and why! That is, why did you choose this particular node, and why did you place it where you did. I think a great video would be explaining the insides of a node and the logic that is happening when they are connected together in certain configurations. For example, you took the output from a node and put it back into the previous node's output. That worked, but I have no idea why it worked and furthermore, how would I know when I am presented with a problem which one, out of hundreds of possibilities to choose to get the effect I wanted.
    True enough, you showed me how to put reflections in glasses, but that is just one of thousands of effects I could potentially do. I need to know the WHY, not just the HOW. It's like the old proverb "teach a man to fish, not give a man to fish"

      Hey Allen, feel free to use the .5 speed setting on youtube if you need it to be slower. This video was originally very long. We had to cut it down because it was long and boring to be honest. We may have paced it a bit too much, but overall pacing is a personal preference. Some people like fast stuff, others like slow. Ya know?
