Hi Jason, very strange thing with this glue and sail material, the yacht looks very handsome. Thanks and have a great day, Dom

I noticed on the plans that you showed that the mast aft side is kept straight. The taper is from the forward side backwards. Rather than a symmetrical cone, it is an inclined cone. It would suggest that the channel dimensions should not change over the length of the mast.

Hi Jason, thanks for the video. Strange that that sail material won't glue. I think you will find that your lathe will work much better if you put the steady rest up close to the work. Support the cutting end and move the grip up and down to control the depth of cut. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff

Thank you for another video. It looks like the instructions says to taper the dowe down to 6mm, not 5. not sure if the 1mm will make a big difference though :)

Morning Jaosn. I think at 15.17 it shows the hole being 2mm diameter and 5mm deep . Looks like the proxxon will by my next purchase. Thanks for another great video

So ref my comment on the video it might be important to taper the dowe down to only 6 mm. If not you might drill through the dowe.

Still following and still enjoying. Very nice work but I don’t understand what Amati is using for the sail material that it would not adhere to itself.

Sorry Jason but the way you're using that lathe is really dangerous. You really must get that steady in as close as possible to the thing you're cutting. If that chisel grabs then is not going to be pretty ! Soz. Can't help myself after 30 years of teaching this stuff. Definitely don't want to see you get hurt. Best wishes Bryan
