Good heavens, Nigel. You're making me feel my age, with your explanation of how a distributor cap works, and what HT leads are. You could have really blown the minds of the younger viewers with an explanation of the points and capacitor which we used to have to change!
Morning Nigel, I measured my tube and I've got well over 3 metres! As to the fiberglass colour I did a little experiment and sprayed and old bit of a kit white and then misted a very thined coat of tamiya XF4 over it and it doesn't look bad.
I've just checked my kit and it has only two 1 meter length of tubing. They are rather stretchy, so I wonder if Pocher intended the tubing to be stretched while cutting, but this doesn't seem to be an ideal solution as it would put strain on the glue points. I was thinking of grafting small pieces of black tubing at either end of each red tube (using some internal wire), but I doubt this will make up the shortfall in length.
Hi Nigel... Have been your 917 videos. Many thanks for the tips!! Thinking about buying Scale Auto Works Mercedes 300SLR. Do you have any experience with this company? Cheers
i wait my kit pocher, 3 4 days and is at my home, and follow you,,, i hope in my kit tube is right, tube of Lotus 72 i think is not compatible , black ,,,, i use your video for my Porsche work )))
I measured my TU-2 tubing and had lengths of 1550mm and 2000mm, which gives me about 960mm spare. If you get desparate, let me know and I can let you have some of my excess.

Nice work! try a brown oil wash over it too.
Great content! Subscribed and will revisit when/if I get this model ... just one thing - is it possible for you to increase video resolution? Cheers!
My videos are recorded in 1080P. Any higher takes forever to upload.

I'll bet we are not the only ones? You need to contact Pocher as you will need 2.8 metres in total.

No sorry, no knowledge of them at all.
Thats interesting...I wonder if every kit is short of the tube length? I'll need to take a look at mine
Yes mate, do.. You need at lease 2.8 metres. It can't be all the kits, as one viewer has finished theirs already.

Thanks buddy, but I think you’ll find you need about 2.8 metres.
