Hello, I like the vid, thanks. -- I was hoping to learn how to get into Android Auto ... I can't figure it out ... at about 12:30 you click on the button in the upper left and that takes you to Android Auto - - but not for me, it just goes to the default Toyota map ... Ok, later I figured it out - - I had to go to devices & bluetooth and go into my device and say "use for Android Auto."
Im in the minority here when I say this but I much prefer the older rav4 Entune 3 infotainment system. It has more physical shortcut buttons, a Home Screen, volume tune knob, built in navigation and still has CarPlay and android auto That system really just needs more colors and themes
@@tomasso883 they could have just left the older system as is and just added wireless CarPlay and more color themes. That would have literally solved everything and it would have been so much cheaper for them to do that
I bought the 2023 XSE Rav 4 hybrid with the 10 in screen. If you are a short person I would re-think buying it. I'm 5'2 and the big a***screen impedes my view, and that is with the driver's seat as high as it will go. I don't know what I'm going to do now. I love everything else, they should have placed the infotainment system into the dash, or perhaps they should have made a way to lower it/adjust it. It's just too high and gets on my nerves. Makes me want to return the car just because of this, I think it's too late though now.
When I start the car 2023 Hybrid XLE with convenience and weather packages - it turns on CarPlay and I cannot get to the radio (or the screen at the start of your tutorial). I use the speak button on the left side of the steering wheel, to ask for the radio and it keeps telling me that I don't have an app for that - any suggestions? Thank you.
I have a 2023 RAV4 hybrid... and when I try to use my cell phone(Bluetooth) through my infotainment system, the volume is so low whether I use Spotify or TH-cam. Basically my question is how do I turn up the volume when using Bluetooth???
@DailyMotor I have it turned up all the way on my cell phone. But my infotainment does not/ can not turn the volume up or down. When I had my 2012 Ford Escape, no infotainment, but yes, Bluetooth, I was able to blast the volume.
I bought a RAV4 hybrid a month ago and it has problems with the connectivity with the iPhone, especially with the maps, the Toyota agency in Mexico tells me that it is the 4th truck that they take with this problem, something is happening with the CarPlay

Just bought a 2023 rav4 the radio plays louder when driving down rd then it lowers down even when we are sitting at red light the volume just gets louder then goes back down , can u help us? Thanks
That's an auto volume setting, it is intended to make the music louder when you're driving to compensate for road, wind, and engine noise. If you want to disable it, turn off Auto sound levelizer in the Sound & Media screen. th-cam.com/video/bSCfd_82rY8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ZVqUMycpntml_TGv&t=467
My coworker recently purchased a 2023 rav 4 xle premium. She is only and has apple car play activated. It confuses her. So i checked her vehicle to see if she has built in nav through toyota. She does. Same vehicle as this video. I showed her how to use it, but does she need to pay a monhly subscription for the toyota navigation system? She says she is on a trial period since she just bought the car. She wants to deactivate apple car play, should she do so? Is it worth it to use toyotas system instead?
From what I understand, she will not have to pay a monthly subscription to get basic navigation services, even after the trial period. It's a decent nav system, and if she doesn't like CarPlay, it's worth a shot. But it also could be worth her getting acclimated with Apple CarPlay. Maybe I'll do an in-depth how-to video on CarPlay soon.
Yes, the lower trims don’t come with navigation unfortunately. You’d have to pay for the subscription. Or connect a device via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
I have a 2023 Rav4 LE. The infotainment system is incredibly uncomfortable and poorly functional. I hope they will issue a good upgrade or I will be replacing it by an aftermarket one. I had an old 2004 Rav4 and installed an aftermarket screen that worked great.
I prefer the native maps on the entune 3 with dynamic navigation. The lane guidance display on the nav is quite nice and it even shows the same road sign as if you’d see it on the highway
Good question, I should probably include that in future reviews. You will need to pair the device via bluetooth, and after the device is connected, it should prompt you to use wireless Android Auto. Unfortunately I will not be able to step you through pairing via bluetooth over comments.

Hey there, thanks for your amazing work. I just bought the 2024 Rav4 XLE hybrid and I need to change the outside temperature display unit from Fahrenheit to Celsius, would you kindly advise me how to do that? Appreciate your input

Silicon Valley getting into our cars is bad news. SaaS (software as a service) is going to flood in - everything subscription, everything on a plan.
