Hey everyone. I went back again and retested to confirm whether there was a bug at the stop sign. Check it out!

If ASS can conquer the mayhem of a costco parking lot during peak rush hour, it can handle anything
That's great that it was able to recognize the car stopped in the middle of the road and went around it instead of waiting behind it forever.
Agreed. 👍🏽
Wow! An ASS video that gets straight to the point. No fillers or fluff. Great video. Some other people would turn this into a 10 or 20 minutes video.
Thanks. I do try to keep my ASSes tight! 😊
@@FSDwithmehahah!!!!
The way it went around the parking spot waiting vehicle was astounding
I am a model Y owner. FSD is really freaking amazing. 😅
now I'm going to regret blacking out all my Tesla's windows, as no one will know that I'm trying to show off my ASS
No way! This is the Costco that we go to as well! I'd love to see this in action at this Costco on a Sunday afternoon haha
Costco is a perfect place to test these capabilities and grab the hotdog and pop while you’re there. Still only $1.50
I only get it every time! 😊
Awesome that thumbs up guy should get meme status!! never realise4d the wow factor this would create!!
The future is coming ... fast! Awesome video. I want this amazing tech yesterday!
FSD is coming and no one else is even close.

Operating conditions for Mercedes' L3 Drive Pilot system:
Highway only
Must be following another vehicle
40mph maximum
No interchanges
No inclement weather
No flashing lights in vicinity
Daytime only
Cannot change lanes
Only work on a few highways in LA
Pay $2500/year
😂😂😂😂
Basic tesla autopilot can do much much better than that.
@@RED-WEAPON smoking dope?
@@bac3phi Mercedes is toast. Their EQE & EQS models were a flop and didn't sell.
@@bac3phi Mercedes first puts 100 conditions that should ALL be met to be able to activate its drive pilot system. The most important of those conditions is to have a lead car to follow, being on a highway, being in one of the designated approved areas and then it will hold its place in a lane. Its effectively a overengineered cruise control. Its nowhere close to being a robot capable of self driving in any situation.
Waymo is ahead
Wow. It’s pretty good.
Pretty good?!! What more do you want it to do, the tango??!!
You’re a brave man using ASS in a crowded parking lot. I’ve seen so many videos and pictures of smart summon smashing Teslas up.
I should check those out. It’s been pretty stellar so far from the 10+times I’ve tried it out
Those driverless come to me stuff are the best commercials for Tesla 😂
It is. I think this is all part of the robotaxi strategy.
It would be a great commercial for when its pouring rain.
So cool
Smart summon.... all we need now is a smart park
this is where tesla could start an audio idea that might go viral…..🎉
i like to leave the sun shade on when I summon my model s
😊
It’s been working well for me, except in some parking lots, it will stop functioning because it thinks it’s on a road; also, if my old phone overheats, that’s a problem.
I’ve seen people amazed and heard multiple people say it’s “scary.” I of course love it!!
@@mcsmith9244 the more I test it the more comfortable I am with it. Most parking lots aren’t as busy as a Costco with cars moving in and out and people walking all over the place. I’m pleasantly surprised.
yeah they've set a very strict limit on proximity to public roads. Its a bummer currently but hopefully they are just being cautious as they extend this capability further
Watching this video was inducing road rage for me. Good thing Teslas are patient. I would have been yelling out the window WTF!!!! if I was behind the wheel here.
Costco parking lots can do that to the calmest person.
Nice!
I did similar thing at a hotel last week. Summoned my Tesla that was parked in the back parking lot to come pick me up at the front of the hotel and everyone was staring like crazy.
Fantastic! A robot on wheels that can do 140 mph.
The ultimate test is a Costco parking lot. Next one should be Walmart in Compton.
I think this will be more useful when you can hit the summon button when you start ringing up your groceries so that it's there waiting for you when you come out. Having to monitor it and wait for it is not really saving any time. Unless you're disabled or it's pouring rain, you don't really need this. But of course this stage is necessary for proving it out. I'm sure in a year or so you won't have to monitor it.
I agree. It already saved me once from getting soaked in the rain. That was amazing. Future is coming fast.
Thanks all for pointing out the stop sign that was run. I’ve retested this at the same location and have a video coming out shortly.
It didn’t run it. It had come to a complete stop behind the guy in the white crossover. Then moved around him once it realized he was camping the intersection. I think it was fine. Not to mention that in most states stop signs on private property, like in parking lots, are not enforceable by law enforcement anyway.
Wow that is so cool!
crazy good
Lots of eyes on the driverless Tesla. Is Actually Smart Summon working as well for you, or any issues?
We had a spectacular time testing it on a fleet of Teslas in Upstate, SC.
Revolutionary is the perfect word for Tesla ASS & F.S.D
No company in all of history (Except Airplanes) has conquered software this exceptionally.
Jesus Bless @FSDwithme
Brilliant! So you need a minimum of enhanced autopilot? Is this available for cars without USS?
You need to have FSD I believe (check on that). My car does not have ultrasonic sensors so this works completely using the vision based system.
Nice.
I have been dying to know what would happen if perhaps a car in front of you in the parking lot started backing up because it had maybe passed a parking spot…what would the Tesla do? Would it back up if possible to allow the car in front to back up to get the parking spot?
@@Dugonitron5000-ku6gt it would do what I would do, and not budge, lol
@@Hillmountroad lol
Hahaha people still cant belive cars are actually capability of driving without a driver lol
How confident is FSD with narrow path?
Very confident. It can squeeze through a lot of places. It is very cautious around pedestrians however.
Stop sign is on the wrong side of the road. What state do you live in. I found this for New York. ….. No, they are not. New York law states, if a shopping complex is not owned by a local municipality then stop signs act like more of a suggestion. If a Police Officer was to witness someone running one of those stop signs, their hands are tied and in reality, they can't give you a ticket.
@@et8691 I’m in Ontario. Not sure what the law is for that, but considering there was traffic coming from that direction, I would hope and expect that the vehicle would do a complete stop. Needless to say it’s a best practice that you should stop at a stop sign. Great insight though.
If you look at the video the vehicle gave the right of way to the vehicle on the left. There was no other reason for the Tesla to stop. Normally stop signs in parking lots are for pedestrians caution.
Wow it got really close to some of those cars, especially that Lexus at 2:10
Well if you had eyes all around the vehicle you could probably get pretty close without a problem!
Oh wow… now I know where you from😂
Good thing it has cameras, just imagine the con men filing lawsuits.
lol. True
I am surprised to see you coming out of COSTCO with empty hands. Everyone else coming out with a cart.
@@coffee0076 you didn’t see my wife’s hands 😪
Can it drop me off and go look for a parking spot and park itself?
That is being worked on and could be the next major release. Hopefully by next year. 🎉
What, me worry about insurance?
If only they kept the parking sensors and radar, I would trust this way more. That is why I am not purchasing FSD to my Tesla (Model Y performance). I wish they had the option to add those afterwards.
I’m not sure if sensors will be in play when detecting the stop sign, that’s more camera based, but I do wish they kept the sensors for general FSD performance and spacing between cars. I’m really impressed either way what they could do with cameras.
Do you use parking sensors and radar when you drive?
@@truhartwood3170 My Tesla does not have those sensors.. it works completely off the vision based camera system.
@@FSDwithme I was asking the OP if he uses USS and radar when he, himself, is driving. Obviously the answer is 'no' and therefore obviously those aren't needed to drive safely and reliably. Especially since the vision the car does have is better than human vision since it can see 360° around the car, and never gets distracted having to look away to change the radio station or something.
IMHO trying to pass that car from the right at 2:33 wasn't quite smart move
It did stop when it sensed it could not pass the car. Plus there were pedestrians in front and it could adjust to that as well. Most humans would’ve done the same but I get what you’re saying.
Great video! I had fun using it a Costco as well. Check out the video I posted. It was so busy
Umm it ran that stop sign....
Not really. It had already come to a complete stop behind the white crossover that was sitting at the intersection. That guy just chilling there should have moved out of the way.
Stop signs in most parking lots are more of a suggestion than a requirement, unless, there are pedestrians or cross traffic.
Work, but honestly it is too slow, will make busy parking lot busier. But it really work well when in an off-peak parking lot.
Where was it too slow in this example?
@@AvgeekPlungerManOfficial I'm curious also. I don't believe a human would get there any faster +- less than a min at peak Costco hrs it cant do any but wait till people move out of the way. I would rather use it at less busier PL just for the sake of comfortability as theres less things that can go wrong.
@@AvgeekPlungerManOfficial fast or slow, depends on person. Pasta or your feeling, I will ask for pasta.
It's a parking lot not a freaking freeway.
@@justrandomthings319 yes, still a lil slow so it is still not practical than walking to your car and if it hits who will take responsibility… it is a fun remote toy car. Again your opinion is yours not mine.
If it hits someone you are screwed
As soon as you lift your finger off the button, it slams on brakes hard. Its not going to hit people. Its been out for weeks now and hundreds of thousands of morons have their hands on this technology now. No ones been hit, so its safe to assume its safe enough to not run people over. Only crash I can even find is at home depot, someone had planks of wood sticking out and summon clipped the edge of the wood with its mirror. We might see some edge cases like this, but I seriously doubt we will see ASS hit a person unless they were taking a nap under your front bumper.
All that with 5 percent of battery
5% of battery? Huh? He has 79% left.
2:25 Didn't the car blow off that Stop sign? I mean, it was clear but I didn't see it actually stop.
@@richard1113 new video coming later today to confirm that and retest!
What if FSD runs over an elderly person and kills him ? What will you do or will you be put in jail for involuntary manslaughter???
I can stop it at any time. I just need to release my finger off my phone screen. If one’s f to restart I just press down on the summon button.
@@FSDwithme but your eyes cannot see around the corner trust me I have three Teslas already
@@FLORIDIANMILLIONAIREHe can watch the front camera view from his phone. You can control it without being able to see the car at all. Also, the car would stop, as you can clearly see from the video the car handled all those pedestrians just fine with him holding down the summon button continuously. Taking your finger off the summon button is just a backup/failsafe.
Same thing that would happen if he was driving. People hit people all the time as they are distracted by phones and everything else. Sometimes I trust the car more then my self. But yes I worry about bugs but then that can happen with any technology.
And the buzz at Costco is: "omg that robot car is going to hit my BMW!"
Or: "That car without a driver is going 1 mph, and is slowing down everyone nearby!"
Perform better than most folks I see at Costco.
@@Hillmountroad FSD is nothing like a human, FSD is a joke.
A human can drive every day for years without a problem. FSD needs 100 percent human supervision at all times, or it will make mistakes .

After 8 years of big promises from Elan Mush, FSD does NOT work. People did not pay 1000's of doll hairs for Supervised Driving. Such a disappointment .
sorry but this was the worst performance ive seen. its worked well for me but this was bad. 1. ran the stop sign 2. tried going around the car when there was obviously no space to do so
Interesting. It didn’t seem like that but I see your point. I just received 12.5.4.1 and will test it out today.
You don't really need to stop at stop signs in parking lots though. As long as it stops for people and cats.
@@shranikenCats have become a huge problem in parking lots. I'm always watching for cats
People are eating the dogs and cats so that should clear up some lol.
