I love Ae Sin and Eugene's love story, but Yang Hwa and Dong Mae's relationship was on ANOTHER LEVEL. I mean, it was emphasized that Dong Mae really loved Ae Sin and only Yang Hwa had romantic feelings for Dong Mae. However, we can't deny the depth of Yang Hwa and Dong Mae's connection. Dong Mae may not be romantically in love with Yang Hwa, but one thing's for sure, they truly loved each other. Romantic relationships aren't only the ones that matter the most. Their love for one another was beyond just friendship which I really cried for. They never exchanged 'I love yous' (since Dong Mae's inlove with Ae Sin; however, Yang Hwa confessed at the end), but their stares and little gestures have shown how sincere their feelings for each other were.
It’s painful and beautiful to watch Gu Dongmae in this drama.. didn’t want to at first knowing his ending but slowly came to realize watching his journey was worth it... sad ending that you learn to accept, it’s hard to watch but you can’t look away 😢
