Ahn Yeon Seok is truly a great actor & a gem of a person. Goo Don mae will be forever a legendary character. He is the lead for me in Mr.Sunshine. It is a rarity that such a cruel man in exterior has so much deep love inside. Manifestation of Don mae character was so perfect. Respect & Love Yeon Seok sooooooo much. He never fails to surprise me.
I totally agree. Both managed to survive through hardships and life's challenges, they both deserve to be loved. However, Dong mae is stuck in an unrequited love and that makes him even more adorable in my eyes!

The fierceness and longing in his eyes as well as his suffering had my full attention throughout the drama. His acting showcased his excellence through a riveting portrayal of a character you were supposed to dislike but ultimately fell in love with. When Dr. Romantic was released I eagerly watched it just for him, of course I also loved the character Master Kim . And we can’t forget how as a female he was absolutely gorgeous in Hedwig the stage play. It’s actually ironic how he could be both a sexy intense male and a spectacularly gorgeous feminine woman. I call that an immensely talented and gifted actor🎬🥇🏆 👏👏 💜
I don't really ship them,but I'm actually impressed about his character,he's matured yet foolish,he express his love in a different way,but it was sincere.He liked her from the start until the end,his passion and love slowly kill him making him blind about his surrounding,he wields his sword in his final moment and keep on fighting.I love his character too much he's a sword who can cut everything but he use his power too foolish.
Dung woo was one of the best bad ass yet full of emotion character in the drama history it would be very difficult to recreate something like this or even play one well done I loved every moment of this drama and he took it to the next level!!! Bravo to the writers for creating this enigmatic character.
As much as I love his character, He was the person who hurt Ae Shin the most. Being called a noble fool at a young age, shot in the legs by a gun and cut her hair in public. Although from his POV, the gunshot and hair cutting was to protect her, but in Ae Shin's POV it is hurtful. They love deeply but in different ways and towards different people.

Cutting her hair was humiliating for a noble woman of her time and probably he thought that she would be forced to stay indoors and therefore cut her ties with the rebels. It was his way to protect her from Lee Wan-ik and the Japanese. :)
I think it’s symbolic. It’s his way to protect her. I’ve read somewhere that hair is a symbol of parents’ legacy, therefore by cutting it he tries to dissociate her from the justice army so that she won’t be suspected by Lee Wan-ik and the Japanese. Still, it’s just a speculation. It remains to be seen if that’s the case! :)
