I liked Yang Hwa very much but Didn't Ae Shin save Go Dong Maes life when they where children? and other moments you see she does care for him especially after she realizes that he's actually a "good" guy, but not in the way she loves Eugene, and also don't forget that Yang Hwa herself had her eye on Eugene in the beginning.
It's not like he didn't remembered yang hwa. When he said "did the heaven helped me or was it yang hwa?" I was really a little satisfied that atleast he remembered her in this situation, atleast he knew how much she loved her Those both women had their own places in his heart. All the 5 charecters shared a bond and love which is indescribable.
Forgive my English. Watching Dorama I noticed how feelings are treated. Here I leave my analysis. You may notice that Dong Mae's relationship with Hina kudo was very similar to Eugene Choi and Ae Shin's relationship. While Dong Mae and Ae shin's relationship was unhealthy and very honor-bound, like a passion from a trauma and in the end she saved his life, that for a samurai is very strong, it was a debt, life pays off with life. This did not allow Dong Mae to realize his own feeling for Hina Kudo, despite having lived, you can see that Dong Mae's moments with Hina Kudo in the series are light, they act as a couple like drinking together, staying in his arms, carrying her on the back, take her to buy dresses, etc. Dong Mae and Ae Shin are tense, heavy, involving debt, honor, promises and an unhealthy passion. Dong Mae did not become a samurai when he joined Musin, but when he was saved by Ae Shin. Note that he serves her to the end, that's why he ended his debt by killing the samurai who wanted to kill her to her death. The unhealthy passion side was very much shown with the "candy" in the series, but in the end it goes straight through the candy stall, implying that this cycle ends there. Anyway I hope I helped, I love dramas and analyzing them.
You know even after a long time, first love is still has a special place in our heart. If we find a good person, we still longing for the first love. All we think is our first love. Even sometime we question ourselves, "do i love this person?" "is this person replaces my first love?" But again we refuse it. Maybe ae shin is dong mae's first love. I think dong mae did feel the affection toward yanghwa. He loves ae shin as a woman, but at the same time he hates it that she is a noble. It's a complicated feeling. But for yanghwa, he only feels affectionate.
I still don't understand why, the director didn't let dong mae return Yang hwa's feelings. But in the end, still let dong mae think about ae shin. My poor yang hwa :(
Wonderful 👏 Dong Mae and Hina where my favourite couple in this drama. ☺ Maybe it is just me but both of them had a great fashion sense 🤣 compared to other characters in this drama. 😆 Somehow I wished they showed us how Hina and Dong Mae met each other for the first time and how their trust for each other developed. 🥲🙈
