It's cold in Colorado. Trails are slow to melt. I went snow wheeling the other day and smashed a rim up bad. That snow can hide alot of rocks. After that I thought of Shawn and all his snow wheeling trips. 👍😂🙏
Oh man! That's some scary stuff! I had to do that last winter with my rig. WOW! I was so afraid that my winch line was going to break and my rig would go toppling down the hill. I'm glad you had a great team to help you get the trail wrecker turned around and back down the hill. Fist bump :)
The orange feathers on his eyelids show us it's a male Blue Grouse - either Dusky or Sooty - depending on where in the province we are. It's their rut now, so like most males, they're not entirely "reasonable" in their decision making now. That said, the average grouse isn't ready to split the atom anytime soon. With winching, I've got it set up with a QD so I can winch in either direction and there's always a HD hand come along in the tool box. We learned that the hard way too for sure. Good video all around. Stay well.
That recovery looked like a 6 out of 10 on the pucker factor.. Glad you, the boys and the adventure rig made it out unscathed. I test drove a 4xe and I too was wondering if it was running. I felt like George Jetson..
That little fella tried to take out your rear tire at the beginning. Edit: That thing is cute as hell lol. I can’t believe how friendly he was to you guys.
Tire pressure is the most important in this situation. Start at 4 psi , and work down by 1/2 psi at a time. There should be AT LEAST one wrinkle in the side wall, two for really deep soft snow. 4 psi on that tire will be good even with NO BEADLOCK, just go slow and don't steer hard to the side if you are moving faster. TRY THIS it will BLOW YOUR MIND. Great fun as always CHEERS Steve h.

Like most stabilizers, I can't tell the difference between it and any other one. However, changing it between the settings you can certainly notice the difference. I prefer to just leave it on med.

That is not a quail. It’s a dusky or blue grouse.
yup...we have the "sooty blue grouse" here in nor cal, beautiful birds!
and it is not friendly, it is the breeding season and the males are aggressive.

It is the breeding season, they are aggressive, not friendly! I have had them attack my boot, horse and quad over the years.
