So I bought 2 of these Gens 8500’s for my x maxx because of this video. Same batteries as in the vid. Charged them all the way to 4.20 per cell. Ran my truck for for 20 min and they are already down to 3.8v. In this video you say you are getting 45min run time of hard running. The Traxxas 6700’s lasted longer. Why is this?

They are fine with the stock electics
@@DriftomaniacsRC so the battery doesnt overheat anything and runs alright? cool thanks i ordered an xmaxx and i really am in need of alot of tutorials on how to service the truck since its alot of money invested into it. i would love if you think about maybe creating more xmaxx videos. that would be very cool to see to learn more about the truck and what i can upgrade or change before it destroys or does damage to other things. thanks !!

I have a pair of overlander 4s batteries for my x maxx, 35c constant and 65c burst
I run two Gens Ace 8500mah 4s LiPo in my Xmaxx 8s and can they can run it like a beast full out for easily 45 minutes and never had any problems with them. Also what I used in my K8s
What kind of adapter do you have to get?
@@fazerider3092 just depends what connectors you buy on the Lipos. I just ran Xt90s and changed my ESC to it as I ran a Max6 ESC 👍

those gens ace battery are middle of the road at best...meaning t here is so many more battery choices that are far greater than the gens!

I run a few Gen Ace lipo's and I totally agree with Joel Sutton, they are pretty decent! but for my speed runs, I really like the True Spec Extreme Graphene V2 22.2V-6400mAh-150C Softcase batteries from SMC Racing.
@@klappars l have both Turnigy Graphene and Gens ace both 6s l cant say turnigy are better the c rating on gens ace is more accurate and run time is slightly better at same mah;
You do get a pretty package with turnigy though ;)

Edgar sorry I think you'll need a new charger. I actually use a 500w dual one from banggood and at 250W a channel they charge pretty fast

Cheap lipos won't have the same run time as these babies though...
@@DriftomaniacsRC or the punch a quality lipo produces. Also cheap lipos sag and heat up quickly. Those lipos you tested look awsome!

Yep totally agree..... Had gens ace, now use Zeee and don't notice any difference in power. And they are much cheaper.

Actually, I believe MaxAmps is far superior to all the batteries. But I would like to see a fair comparison.
Max Amps actually suck real bad, and i mean real bad - real world C of just 20C www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?1767093-Battery-Load-Test-Comparisons
He is getting kickbacks from gens because of that he will push them.
Do some research before you buy max amps. They are very poor and their warranty is good but up to the mfg. so good luck. Lol.
Max Amps lipos are overpriced junk, for succour 's and newbies.
