I have the same machine and I love it. Talk about heavy duty; they sure don't lie. If I have any complaint at all (and this one is on me, not the machine), since it sews 1,100 stitches per minute when I do make a mistake...I cannot rip out stitches at that same rate of speed. Think ahead, sew once, don't make mistakes. This is a fantastic machine. Keep the videos coming!!

Stay away from this. If you don't get problems right out of the box then you will get it a couple of days or weeks down the line. This machine is overrated. Singer is not what it used to be. If you want a good machine that won't dent your budget then go for a brother cs6000i. I have an earlier model of this going on eleven years and it hasnt let me down since. No repairs, just basic cleanup. This Singer is simply trash.

It gets good ratings against the Brother ci6000, but neither machine is meant to sew heavy denim and leather all the time. If I were in the market for an expensive machine (thousands) Brothers would certainly be a brand I would try out. (not Singer)
My mom has one if these machines, I'm a beginner I'm having an issue where the material is constantly caught up in the bobbin area, when sewing at times it doesn't sew or the needle gets unthreaded. Tension is accurate and all.but no matter what I do it's giving me an headache
Try webbing strap as that is tough stuff. It looks a good machine. I'm shopping around the market for one as one I have is epileptic with fabrics. Spend more time 'unpicking' than sewing what I want. So unreliable. So decided to get a new one (soon). As want to sew some couch arm covers and just ordered the material.

This is perfect if you're serious as a beginner : you'll be able to mend things with ease instead of fiddling with a cheaper machine and this will last basically forever and let you upgrade your skills if you want to make some stuff yourself. (No need to get an electronic one though, you'd be paying for tons of stuff you won't use).

I just bought the Singer Even Feed foot for the heavy duty 4432 was it necessary. Have leather-suede material I want to sew a jacket. Wish me luck. I to return my first 4432 due to the needle threader would not work when trying to use the stem would not go completely down. So now that I have the second one hope it works.
I am a beginner, so don’t listen to me BUT-it is incredibly smooth, The pedal provides very fine control of the speed range, from a snails pace to a whopping 1100 stitches per minute!

I don't know if you're an expert on this but I'm looking for a machine that will do you know upholstery like covering your seats on your boat or you know whatever upholstery do you think it can handle that which it looks like that bag was heavier than any upholstery I would think of but I'm no pro at this so I'm just trying to fix some upholstery on my boat
Is there a way to see which "Motor" a particular machine uses??? If all the "Heavy Duty" models use the same motor then why buy the top spec machine? I'm researching to this to see if I want to earn it but if I am I will be starting with a machine that can do leather, canvas, denim, etc. The difference between a $200 phone and a $400+ phone is usually ONLY the screen, is it safe to assume the same is true of sewing machines?
The main difference in the 44 series machines are the number of stitches each one supports. The motor should be the same. You can get the 4411 if you want the simpler and more affordable model.
I dont think so these machines use needles for domestic household machines. Check it out before you use an industrial needle, the wrong type could damage the machine.
@@jojosewist8921 Singer customer service adamantly said not to even loosen any screws. The screws are factory tighten and need to be that tight to keep the bobbin case secure during high speed sewing. YT videos showing loosening the screws is not the best method even if the videos say it is. Remove the needle, then turn the handwheel until the tip of the hook is under the retaining tab (the piece of flat silvery metal that is screwed down) is at the 11 o'clock position on the left and the opening in the race hook is at the 10 o'clock position, then left out the bobbin case while turning it ever so slightly to the left. To get the case back in be sure the hook race is in the 10 o'clock position and put the case in forward then slightly to the right. There is a sweet spot where the open space of the hook race is at the left that the bobbin case will come out and go back in like it's a breeze.
Mine uses 15j bobbins. Do you have the manual? It says what bobbin to use, but can do YT search, or Search online. Some models use the 15 bobbin, others 15j. Don't know of any that use the 66. Sewing Parts On Line has a good YT video all about different bobbin sizes. Also the store will help you get the right bobbin just tell them your machines make and model #.
all different weights... depends on the needle you use ... it can do lightweight needles to heavy ones like 18 ... I have not tried any needles bigger than an 18 size

Use regular sewing machine thread (not serge thread). But use a name brand (not cheap off brands), don't use really old thread either--both she'd & cause lots of lint which is bad for the machine.
Yes you can freehand embroider with Singer 4432. You need to purchase the darning/embroidering presser foot. It is listed in your manual as an additional accessories
I bought this machine and was so happy that it had an automatic needle threader and now I'm ANGRY because it doesn't work,the lever won't stay down and won't thread the needle,so back to spending ages trying to thread manually..... RUBBISH!!
Have you checked the needle type? Does it not fit in the hole? Thats the problem i have encountered using my janome too and it was this. In the meantime i used one of those wire threaders when the thread was too heavy and would simply resist being thread like a cat getting a bath. Changed the type of needle and it works fine now.
I saw this one on Amazon June 25, 2019 for about $168 with some accessories. But I read that if you want a really good walking foot, buy a regular Singer walking foot.

Make sure thread, and needle are correct size and type for fabric you are using. Also try a new needle.

From what I read, the 4432 and 4452 are identical. The Singer 4452 just comes with extra attachments.

No, but just loosen. It's a nightmare to get it back in. There are YT vids about how to loosen and remove the bobbin housing for cleaning.
