Actually, after already watching at least 6 beginner tutorials on Singer HD machine, I can honestly say that your tutorial was the best I've watch. I have never touched a sewing machine in my life and I just purchased the 4432. Apparently the main difference between the Heavy Duty machines is just the amount of stitches you get (according to Singer) and they informed me that watching any of the Heavy Duty YT videos would pretty apply to me. Thanks, sew much LOL, for sharing PiNk!
This was so detailed I feel like even as a complete beginner, I now know everything I need to know to get started. It feels less over whelming now. You’re the best! Thank you
Literally the best tutorial for this machine. I learned how to sew in school, on industrial Juki sewing machines. Since they are an industrial machine, it's really simple; only had one stitch with variety of manual adjustments for variations. But I needed something at home, so I can continue school work outside of classes and at bewitching hours. The singer heavy duty caught me eye, cause of the label "heavy duty"; it would cover a wide range of fabric weight. I thought it would be pretty self-explanatory like the industrial machines... BUT IT HAD A LOT MORE TO IT (I hate complications...) Which led to me putting off on using it, cause it's too intimating.... Recently school is about to start again, I was thinking of buying another machine (the newer models for kiddies), but I needed to give the heavy duty another shot (since I did spend money on it).... AND I'M GLAD I FOUND YOUR VIDEO!!!
This is hands down the best tutorial on a Heavy Duty Singer. None of the videos I watched helped me, until I found yours and finally I can sow and understand how my machine works. Thank uuuu!
Love this tutorial. I just purchased my singer sewing machine yesterday and desperately needed a detailed video that walked through a lot of what you showed. I’m a visual learner so this video was extremely helpful. 🤗
WOW I have to say this is the best video I've seen for teaching the basics of the Singer Heavy Duty set up. Seriously you got them camera angles right, clearly explained everything and I could follow along with you instead of some crazy fast run through with zero way to follow. THANK YOU! I'm pumped to sew now.
Love this video. Your so down to earth and real. I’ve been sewing for many years as I’m a 74 year old grandma. I just got my 4452 singer and was a little nervous as it didn’t come with a manual. You walked me through it so well. I’ll be on the lookout for more of you videos.
I love how "real" you are. Your explanations were excellent. You saved me from all my Homer Simpson moments I had last night trying to figure all this out. Manual, shmanual...you and your bf on the camera were so great. I can't thank you enough for the simple, person-to-person type of video that you made. The only other thing is don't forget to put the thread thru that first round piece on the top before continuing on. And thanks to you, now I know just HOW to continue on. Thank you so much!
Lol 😅 Thank you so much... im really glad I was at least some help... and yea someone else pointed that out and I guess I was a bit nervous recording and missed it (never did that before though 🤦🏼♀️) I'm sorry about that! 🤗
This was honestly so so helpful! Ive watched a ton of videos and you really broke it down in a way that was easy for beginners to understand! threading the needle and the part where you have to loop the bobbin was so confusing in the other videos. Thank You so much!

This was amazing… Even my mom who has been using machines and sewing for 60 plus years said wow she’s really good at explaining! 🥰 I’ll be watching more!
Wow. This is a top notch tutorial. I went from opening the box with my new machine and wanting to cry for how complicated it seemed to feeling super confident and ready to sew. Thanks!
Your video was incredibly helpful! I haven't sewed in years so it was great that you went thoroughly through each step and used everyday language! Thank you for making this!
Omigosh, I have the exact same model you have. I’m an absolute beginner and have been terrified to take it out of the box. You are an excellent teacher. Going to set mine up today...thank you! 🤗💕
I just opened the box today, Santa brought me and two thing happened that stumped me, my foot fell off and I broke my needle!! lol Thankfully you covered everything so well! And so much better than the Singer instructions! Thank you so much and I'm sure I'll be coming back! Warmest wishes!
Great tutorial - two quick things : your machine has an auto threader for the needle. It’s a little white paddle thing you can pull down and will make threading a little easier. Also, there’s one more spot that the thread should be routed through directly above the needle. It’s a small spot but it’s important to keep the thread from tangling.
Yes their is two hooks to thread through before threading into the needle ,above the needle is a large hook and the second hook is much smaller one both are important to thread
Thank you 🙏🏽🙌🏽 this is exactly what I was trying to learn... I knew it once but I forgot all of these basics over the years. You’re literally a life saver. (Re-learning to make masks for family and other things just for fun)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I am a "self taught" sewer. 50 years sewing on a very OLD Singer that finally died 😢. I learned more in one afternoon from you than in all those 50 years! I feel like a kid again! Can't wait to get sewing.
Thanks so much. Lifetime sewer but rusty after not sewing a few years. You are a FABULOUS teacher. You really get into the viewers’ heads. I never did read the threading instructions for my machine. You walked me through the mistake on filling the bobbin.
Omg so helpful! Thank you, I was having so much trouble with the darn bobber. I’ve seen a ton of videos but yours was the most helpful and I appreciate how close you got. That’s what I needed. Step by step, with awesome close ups! Thank you a ton!

A most enjoyable introduction to the very popular model #4452 with an easy, straightforward and practical approach. Combining energies as narrator and your beau as cameraman & motor controller really was very well synchronized. This video is un-freaking-believably helpful!! Been looking at machines for my daughter, this was a contender, found your video and this was the cincher since I know I'll be able to point her to a FANTASTIC tutorial to get her started!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this, and huge thanks to your boyfriend for the great camera work too - so very helpful!! On a side note, quick tip - when changing the presser foot, instead of trying to push the new foot up into the hook thingie, just set the new foot down with the bar aligned, and gently lower the presser foot mechanism until it snaps into place. This also saves you from accidentally poking a finger with the needle. :o)
AWWWW thank you so much! This was a really sweet and kind thing to say! I appreciate it 10000% and I sure do hope that if you get your daughter a machine... it would be this one... i love it and wish I started off with it 👌🏻...... also thank you so much for the tip! No idea what parts, pieces, and positions are technically called and am not at all motivated to front load a bunch of terminology for a hobby I'm not even certain I'll be into, lol. 5:13 the first thing you have to do (with the bobin) 5:38 the first place you have to set the thread 8:22 how to put the thread 9:51 how to put the bobin 12:04 the tension button 12:50 needle position
Honestly this is how I explain stuff! No beginner knows what all these things are called so I appreciate how simple you explained this lol literally the easiest tutorial I've ever come across!
There's a magnetized ring in the hook basket that can be seen when the bobbin case is removed. So, it's important to use plastic bobbins (like came with the machine) because a metal bobbin will interfere with how the magnet and the bobbin case function together. Singer class 15 plastic bobbins.
Thank you so much! Brilliant. Clearly explained. Great camera work. You taught me how to use my sewing machine. I had pretty much given up. 10/10 for you. Thanks again.
You're missing one more hook when you're threading the needle. The thread should go around the back of that small bar at the top of the need. You can see behind it theres a small hook. Loop it around there before threading the needle.
Thank you. I just bought this machine to repair my over 2 dozen denim jackets and pants and this was really helpful for starting up for the first time.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I just purchased a Singer 6380 and have NEVER used a sewing machine before, and your video explained how to thread it perfectly. I'm about to start my first project :). Thanks again!!
You are such a great and thorough teacher. I’m a newly retired senior person and have always wanted to learn to sew. I now have the time to sit and focus. Your instructions are so helpful.
I just bought that sewing machine and I was very overwhelmed until I saw your video. ❤thanks so much for the way you explained all this process. Now, I feel better, thanks again. You made it much easier to understand the beginning process of learning to operate my new sewing machine. 😊 thank again
Thank you for the best tutorial I have ever watched for this machine!! You were so helpful. I bought one of these machines to replace my kenmore of 49 years. Totally different machine. Thank you.
Currently teaching myself how to sew with my grandmother old sewing machine and your video was the ONLY video that helped me actually place the needle correctly! Thank you!!
This is the absolute BEST tutorial EVER! Thank you so much for ending my frustration with this sewing machine. I was about to give up and go back to my grandmother's 1938 SInger which is very sentimental, but not practical. I especially loved the way you threaded the bobbin. So many others make you put the tread through the little hole and I could never figure out what direction it went. You made it so easy skipping the hole. You made me so happy!
I’ve had my sewing machine for a year now this is the best tutorial at least I think you have the exact sewing machine I have so I am really Hopeful that it will help
Many thanks for this very explanatory video. I just got this machine. It’s still unpacked and I decided to watch a video on how to use it before opening the box😊. I’m glad I watch your video first. I can confidently unbox it and start using the machine . Thanks once again👍🏽
I just found your channel, so glad I did! You helped me with my new Singer 4452 more than all the videos I spent hours watching. you keep it real, thank you.

Thanks for the tutorial, it not only introduced me to the functions but....more importantly helped me fix the issue of why the bobbin thread wasn't feeding. (I was turning the handle the wrong way) I had received the sewing machine as a birthday gift two years ago and I finally decided to use it.

Thank you so much!! This is such an amazingly detailed, comprehensive. And easy to follow introduction to the Singer HD machine. I just bought the singer HD 6380 model this morning and was completely lost. I’m so happy I stumbled upon your video and now I know what I bought. 😅
Life saver. I haven’t used a sewing machine for 50 years. Bought a “ Singer Heavy Duty” machine and immediately realized the regular thread spools- on plastic or wood- are not the right ones. Funny how that young girl who took a Singer Sewing Class at age 13 kicked in so many of the things I learned in class. But without your help- going slowly and trying so hard to be thorough- I got the basics down preventing me from skipping a step. My only comment to assist those of us wearing glasses for close ups would be to have more light on the closeups. This might cause more glare so hopefully you’ll find a happy place for a light. Why I decided to come out of “ sewing retirement” is all prompted on my idea to make heavy curtains ( okay- window coverings)- on the windows inside my older RV above the loft sleeping area. I bought fabric thick enough to be quite the challenge for my “ Heavy Duty” machine. Also- thanks for the humor, honest mispronunciations of words, and just plain forgetting the right term for something. Before he gets back- hide your extra $$ in there!

Thanks a million! Please keep the Singer 4411 videos on youtube forever - I can't sew without them.
Thank you!!
Hahaha yay! Thank you! I'm glad you got the needle in there 🤗 Happy sewing! 🙏🏻🙌🏻
I hadnt touched my 4432 in over a year which was brand new to me then, and your video was an excellent refresher! Thanks again, Happy Sewing!!
Great tutorial! Easy to understand. I just bought my wife the Singer 64S on sale from Costco and the setup is virtually identical with your machine.
I just found your channel, so glad I did! You helped me with my new Singer 4452 more than all the videos I spent hours watching. you keep it real, thank you.
This demo was one of the best example I’ve ever seen. Please do more.
Thank you so much! 😄
This gave the confidence I needed to finally take up sewing. My biggest fear was not being able to set up the machine, and I want this one particularly. I'm excited to try it!
Just got my first sewing machine and this really helped me! Easy and calming explanations thank you for your help! 😁
Just received my machine. I’m completely new to a sewing machine so can’t wait to watch this video to help me start it up.
I just bought a Singer 4423 yesterday and your video was so helpful. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the tutorial, it not only introduced me to the functions but....more importantly helped me fix the issue of why the bobbin thread wasn't feeding. (I was turning the handle the wrong way) I had received the sewing machine as a birthday gift two years ago and I finally decided to use it.
Thank you for sharing just bought a Singer heavy-duty machine for my mom and trying to learn more about it this helps out a great deal thank you again

SO HELPFUL. You saved me so much headache and frustration. Thank you
I haven’t sewed in a while so I forgot a few steps but omg I had to login to my account to let you know how helpful this was. Best beginners sewing video out ‼️
Thank you so much!! This is such an amazingly detailed, comprehensive. And easy to follow introduction to the Singer HD machine. I just bought the singer HD 6380 model this morning and was completely lost. I’m so happy I stumbled upon your video and now I know what I bought. 😅
Once again thank you. Your teaching method is easy to, understand..
THANK YOU!! That was so helpful for someone who has never used a sewing machine!
This video was more helpful than than the company's tutorial video. Bravo! Thanks for posting!
Haha oh thank you so much! 🤗
Thank you. I saved your video because I know I will forget something. Enjoyed your down to earth attitude ❤
I found this so helpful. I have been watching videos all night as i just got a machine and this is the first that clicked with me. Thanks!
Thank you soooo much for this got my first singer and took me 6 months to open! You made it so easy!!!!
This was great! It was easy to understand and apply. Even after taking an official sewing class, I can honestly say this was better. Thank you.
