Everyone is claiming that the Shalka Doctor is now being treated as a new hidden incarnation. Me, I just think RTD is using the Shalka Doctor as part of the acknowledgement of the Doctor Who Multiverse.

I think Richard E. Grant is either another pre-William Hartnell regeneration, or my personal theory where he's another incarnation during the Time War between Paul McGann as young John Hurt and regular John Hurt.
@@diegovargasdiegoTbf, continuity has always meant jack in Doctor Who lol. The only things that have ever been consistent about the Doctor have been the box, the screwdriver, and the two hearts. Everything else comes and goes as the writers need it
They should focus on the Toymaker's jigsaw thing and use it to fix the Timeless Child bit. Maybe have it where the 15th Doctor discovers that his personal timeline is no longer linear but scribble-like thanks to the Toymaker's meddling. Mention that it should be impossible for the Doctor to exist that way and have it where there's the canon Doctors like 1-15 and the semi-canon Doctors like the Fugitive Doctor, the Richard E. Grant Doctor and perhaps even have the Peter Cushing Doctor who existed because of the Toymaker. That there are now more then one layer of the Doctor's existence and may have had something to do with the bigeneration.

Chibnall did really fuck up the lore, can’t really do much about it, best we can do is run with it and improve on it because I can’t see anyone going to retcon Chibnalls era. RTD did really revive my faith in this series though!
What I don't like about this Doctor is his flirtations, songs and dances make him seem immature and shallow. His libertine dalliances betray character flaws The Doctor always corrected in others. The Doctor enjoyed the company of Jack Harkness, but he wasn't trying to BE him. The Doctor was always careful with any intimacy, because multiple lifetimes showed how damaging a careless touch could be.
Eh. I do kinda like the more emotionally open incarnation take of Gatwa. Dude’s been cagey with his/her/their emotions for…what? 3 incarnations in a row? 12 being cold as hell, 13 practically hiding behind her smiles while screaming on the inside, 14 being finally the one to finally say (or rather his future self telling himself) - yeah, bottling emotions didn’t work. Hell, I am shocked it took THIS long for a Doctor to realize: “OK, I should give my companions the rundown on what I usually do” at the start of space babies. Arguably, I’d say 15 is the MOST mature incarnation for being open with his emotions and being more open about his secrets, while taking a moment to enjoy things around him. “What’s the point in being grown up if you can’t be childish sometimes”.
He was careful with intimacy because he was a walking pile of PTSD crammed into one body. He was ashamed of his actions and constantly putting walls because he was carrying all those big, scary burdens for hundreds of years. Fifteen is a Doctor that was able to move on and learn to be open with others, a Doctor that was healing and allowed himself to be emotionally honest, even if it's awkward or unusual, because that's the point - He's still working on getting used to it.

That's not even mentioning the whole Time Lord Victorious thing with him breaking the rules of time to change a fixed point since he became convinced the laws of time were his to control. A major part of 11's story arc in series 5 and 6 is him starting to believe his own legend and getting too confident.
