I honestly thought they were German by their accents and my American ignorance until I heard him crack a joke.
I can already tell from the first two minutes, URNA have the same high level of professionalism, respect, and humor as the partners from the Czech Army I worked with in Afghanistan in 2016. One day I'll be able to visit Czech Republic and have beers, visit Skalitz and Talmberk, and maybe even bump into somebody I worked alongside. To roughly quote a time that had us in stitches, "Yeah, let's go home now (Return to base). Time to drink beer and play Playstation". Na zdraví!

"It's just a dot" is the kind of comment that separates a professional from the hordes of internet "experts" who spend hours/days arguing the minutiae of tactical gear.
He was comparing it to the eotech reticle, not implying the choice of optic is insignificant.
He ment Aimpoint is just a dot but the Eotech has more to the reticle.
I do not understand why Aimpoint refuses to offer a different reticle option. The dot is fine but the circle dot really is helpful. Yes you can train with the dot and learn your holds but with a circle dot you don't even have to think about it. It keeps it simple and quick.
In someways I feel like Aimpoint is like Glock, they do something well and have a lot of customers but they both refuse to mess with the recipe even if it could be beneficial

You have no idea how scary good these guys are. They make a lot of other CT squads look like boy scouts. They train a lot more than other units and have the benefit of having big boy budget when it comes to getting the gear they want.

Actually not at all. CZ does not have a good track record in Czech police and armed forces. The whole Czech police is actually transitioning to Glock17 gen5.

No way Brits going to share gun knowledge to a civilian. The Brits have a totally different approach when comes to gun related thing, specially if civilians are around the matter. Just check out the gun laws in Czech Republic and check the British one.

Those are some really nice tools. I own CZ firearms and are very impressed with all of them. It is surprising that they don't go with a CZ contract with their fellow countrymen. The shoelace type of handcuff, we used to call them "tough ties".
They prob want lighter. They states better testing but from all the testing I've seen, cz75 new productions will defeat a new production Glock. Sometimes they like to cheat and use an ancient antique vs a new production
This isn't murica. European CT units always use the stuff that works best (usually HK). Patriotism is not even a factor.
And while CZ might build mighty fine handguns (competition, the service days are long gone), their Scorpion Evo SMG and their assault rifles are hot garbage, not even good enough for a civilian let alone the CT unit for a country that, in terms of gun laws, is the wild west of Europe.
@@arcuz7862 I was thinking more along the lines of going to CZ and have them create/design a shooting platform that works for tactical applications; not necessarily just from the stock they have on hand.

There are about 100-ish officers in URNA, CZ probably wouldn't even design let alone manufacture a prototype for a potential 100 gun contract.

Good stuff. One comment about the expenses of the HK 416. For a national counter terror unit which is the Czech version of the the FBI’s HRT, expenses for about 100 personnel or so isn’t much in the grand scheme of things.
Depends on how much your serving government hates you. Budgets can be tricky things. In a different country these guys could be fielding much cheaper weapons out of necessity.

I carried the MP7 for many years. An excellent weapon system, but designed for shorter ranges. The 4.6mm round punches above it's weight, and stoppages only occur through user error.

the 416 is not quite as much of an... exotic in europe, as it is in the us. if you want a 223 service rifle, its already automatically on the table and if you want an ar, its pretty much the most obvious choice, for governmental organizations atleast

Interesting a Czech Sp Ops Unit using Glock 17,s Instead of CZ pistols.....?
They said they decided many years ago against the CZ 75 - because quite frankly it's a very old design, it's heavy, it has an external hammer, DA/SA. That's still fine as a competition platform, but not state-of-the-art for police/military.
I'd be interested in their view on the CZ P-10, but I guess now they went with Glock and won't change that platform for a long time.
