Cynical Asshole because he fought it when he started the game, the cleric beast is a basic tutorial on bosses and elites, pretty easy to pick up after that
luisrkillar Well i’d say that the Cleric beast is a boss for the sake of a bossfight, it gets a player familiar with the concept of a Bossfight, but Gascoine is the true tutorial, since he’s a hunter with a fast moveset. He teaches the player to play aggressively, he’s the tutorial for both seasoned souls players, and newcomers

Darryl franceo Manohar Honestly, I think it took me 3 tries to beat the Orphan (and one of those tries was a wash because I had to answer the door during the fight). I had a much harder time with Laurence, Rom, and BSB.
Admittedly, the last time I fought him was NG+2, he’s probably way harder once you get to +6 Honestly, at this point I think defiled Amygdala is the hardest boss, mostly because a single fuckup is basically a death sentence. I can steamroll regular Amygdala, but I still can’t beat the defiled version.
My most difficult boss on my first playthrough was actually the Blood Starved Beast. I beat Paarl, Vicar Amelia, and Gascoigne within two attempts. And yes, I died to the Cleric Beast more then those three.
DS3 was terrible also IMO, Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 were and still are masterpieces, DS sequels are garbage and unnecessary. BB2 would probably be the same deal. So it's a no from me dawg.
After dying to Laurence so many times on my NG+ I get chills seeing just the cleric beast lol, it's like I'm expecting him to burst into flames and Latin to suddenly start getting chanted in the background lol

@@aestheticmirror9257 Well he certainly wasn't an easy boss and the wet nurse was pretty easy to dodge, but every time I didn't dodge it didn't end well for me.
That bloody Crow of Cainhurst killed me more than all the bosses in the main game. The only enemy I had to resort to poison knives to defeat and when it happened, we died simultaneously. I love that hunter
Bro, I spent 4 hours trying to beat the blood starved beast before I took a break to try again the next day. I died *so much* in that fight it was so frustrating. But thankfully I eventually beat him
This list is interesting. I had zero trouble with Shadows of Yarnham, I only died to them once because the snakes spawned behind me, beat them on the second try. Blood-Starved Beast took me like a month to beat.
Fr BSB took me a while to beat, but I beat Vicar easily with no consumables but health, I guess it was a lot easier to predict her attacks and get behind her, also my skill/strength was at 25/15 with a +5 Saw Spear so it only took like 6 charged R2 attacks
So, long time lurker, but after a few days trapped in due to a hurricane I finally got around to playing bloodborne. It was a blast actually getting to put all the fights in context, and me and a friend were joking that I had inverse fight difficulty after 1 shotting Gascoigne, 3 shotting gehrman, but getting bodied repeatedly by rom and celestial emissary. Keep up the great work DeMod, thanks for all you do man
@@EXplodingLEmon1 yeah I tried that cause that's what my friend said to do, yet I still died thirty times 😅 somehow blood starved beast was the only boss i died more then ten times to

Love the video and the wiseacre remarks (heh, especially the one concluding the Cleric Beast), and always fun to see where my own experiences match up with the general consensus. (Like...I'd have The One Reborn a *lot* higher; on my first playthrough he beat me more times than all the other non-Father G main game bosses put together...even now that I've learned how to fight him, he still occasionally punishes me--like when he started his corpse rain attack, then fell on me while I was standing at his "feet" so I couldn't move to dodge. @_@) I'm kind of amazed that Lady Maria didn't appear here and the Failures did, given all the flak she gets online for being easy... ...mind you, I am not one of those people tossing said flak, as by now she doesn't need to impale herself for the blood attacks; all the red stuff she's hacked out of me would do just fine.
+DezoPenguin Thank you very much! Haha, I'm ashamed to say that pile of feet killed me 3-4 times in my first playthrough as well. The body rain just never stopped! I agree with you that Maria should probably be in this half of the list, but I can see where some may struggle. That's the most fun part of this though, is seeing how everyone's experiences average out!
+theDeModcracy Yeah, that's the fun of these videos--they represent not just the video-maker's opinion, but the collective opinions of the community, Souls vets, total n00bs, and those guys who get annoyed if they get hit once in a playthrough alike. And then you get credit for the cinematography and the jokes. ;)
DezoPenguin Hi, my Bloodborne got corrupted recently and I have to beat the game to ng+7 all over again and then make a meta character. I remember my first playthrough of the game having the witch of hemwick repeatedly shooting the blue grab spell from my blind spot and getting killed by her and the mob several times. I forever find them frustrating just for that experience.
I feel like you misrepresented Micolash. You don't have to mindlessly chase him until he "decides" to run into the rooms. It's a puzzle boss, and a fairly clever one if you ask me.
The hilarious thing about the Failures is that if you time it right, you can get a backstab while they cast the meteor shower and be invincible the entire casting period. It's amazing.
I lost to the Witches of Hemwick like 3 times because I didn’t understand the mechanics. I also lost to Renalla and the Snail guy in Elden Ring a ton of times for the same reason. I thought I had to kill all of the adds to trigger the Witch showing up. I tend to start getting frustrated with a boss fight after about five deaths and get careless. I ran to the spot the Witch kept spawning in not realizing more shadow guys had been summoned and she still appeared. Then it finally clicked and I beat it in one shot.
Again. Died to 0 times in run shows up too many times. Don't misread me, i like the video series but please, leave that mention out. You even contradict yourself at 12:43 claiming this, while shortly after saying you died to it the most. :/
+CukiSouls Note, he says he died the most in his first playthrough. This implies he did a second playthrough just for this series, and I believe this to be true for all of them.
Aside from a couple of exceptions, I pretty much agree with this list. I smashed Paarl to smithereens when I got to him, but I think it was because I found him later than I should have and was way over levelled. And. frankly, fuck the Blood Starved Beast right in the ear....I hated that fight...
Stuart Livermore i feel you. I stocked up on molotov coktails, blood cocktails and those fire papers which makes your weapon do fire damage. Made it a bit easier :)
That one Guy Yes, Yes That did make the fight easier but I still kept dying of poison because I didn't even have time to throw a blood cocktail because BSB would just just leap towards me and kill me, I managed to beat it once thanks to a guy I called to help me
The Blood-Starved beast was the hardest boss in the game BY FAR, I beat a vast majority of the bosses on the first try and only died one or two times on the others. Meatflaps took me like 4 or 5 tries tho
Scrotie Wantubsis it's hard to parry it because its hard to see the attacks. Especially in the 3rd phase. I just kinda waited for the easiest attacks to parry then let loose
I have to say, that although i agree that The One Reborn is pretty easy, its soundtrack is freaking awesome and epic. You should listen to it. The same applies to the Living Failures. Why do i even bother: the soundtrack of this game is orgasmic.
+AzureHunter The Boss tracks (and soundtrack in general) in this series are always top notch. I was stoked when my Dark Souls 3 copy came with the official soundtrack! I'll have to go give the One Reborn's a listen though, can't remember it off the top of my head lol
+Snickering Tortoise I loved the idea in theory, but by the time I made it to the Queen I was sooooo tired of them. I absolutely love fighting the bosses, but the dungeons felt so generic after 2-3 of them. I think a boss rush mode would've been much better.
I died to The Living Failures three times, and beat Amagydala first time. For me, so far, Ebrietas has been the toughtest, and I only have Lady Maria, Laurence, Orphan of Kos, Gherman and Moon Presence left.
Dude, i started bloodborne 2 days ago and i just found the cleric beast a day ago and defeated it on my first try, why is it hard for you? It was slow and easy to hit
Gotta be honest, Paarl was the boss who gave me the most problems, I even had to get a friend to help, although everything was just smooth sailing from there.
Sandokan_MC I didn't get it either at first as I beat her on my first try too, but then died to her over and over on NG+ so I think somewhere in the middle is a good place for her.
+MattEngarding What Thomas said. It really is due to how it's spelled and the fact that we don't have them here, so we were never taught how to say it.
Digggyyyyy American here, and as far as I know a strong majority of Americans have never heard the word Vicar. I didn't know it was sort of equivalent to pastor/priest until I read comment sections. The word just isn't used here, or at least not in any areas I've been in. I just assumed it was a first name, and Vye-Car seems a sensible pronunciation without the context
Demod, I know I’m late to the party, but thank you. You introduced me to the best game series I have ever known and for that, I will be forever grateful. Thank you
I don't know if it's just me but I found Rom, The Vacuous Spider as the hardest main campaign fight on my first playthrough. I know it is really weird but I just couldn't focus on 10 spiders at once and Rom got me a lot of times. Eventually, I decided to upgrade the tonitrus to +5 and do the "just do it" strategy and it worked but man was it very difficult for me and I also got stuck on the hunter NPC right before Rom. But bosses like Gascoigne, blood starved beast and shadows of Yharnam gave me minimal trouble.
Now, I know I’m definitely a bit of a weird case because I never played any souls games, or really any similar games before Bloodborne for that matter, but my rankings would be totally different. Amelia would be way closer to the bottom, Mergo would be closer to the middle, Cleric beast would be much higher on the list, shadows would be almost at the bottom, and moon presence would be in part two easily.
@@JakeTheRake1000 Americans are stupid in what? What makes Americans stupid in your eyes? How do you interpret the definition of a cultural group that's stupid? I disagree, when you said "Americans" you're pointing out the entire country in the U.S, meaning you would, and logically think, all Americans are stupid. That's complete idiocy in my opinion, because you assume all Americans are stupid.

Let’s be real hear we all know who the toughest boss is it’s orphan of kos
Darryl franceo Manohar Honestly, I think it took me 3 tries to beat the Orphan (and one of those tries was a wash because I had to answer the door during the fight). I had a much harder time with Laurence, Rom, and BSB.
i think because the other bosses prepared you for orphan so it was a breeze once gotten too
Admittedly, the last time I fought him was NG+2, he’s probably way harder once you get to +6
Honestly, at this point I think defiled Amygdala is the hardest boss, mostly because a single fuckup is basically a death sentence. I can steamroll regular Amygdala, but I still can’t beat the defiled version.
Fuck Orphan, Lawrence is way harder for me.
or screech placenta
I swear to God micholash had me running around the first room for like 5 minutes
My most difficult boss on my first playthrough was actually the Blood Starved Beast. I beat Paarl, Vicar Amelia, and Gascoigne within two attempts. And yes, I died to the Cleric Beast more then those three.
And who wants bloodborne 2
cause i do
Please no. No more sequels. Dark Souls 2 was shitty enough.
Sure as hell want one almost at platinum here
@@MrMiibez
*caugh caugh* *DS3* *caugh caugh*
DS3 was terrible also IMO, Bloodborne and Dark Souls 1 were and still are masterpieces, DS sequels are garbage and unnecessary. BB2 would probably be the same deal. So it's a no from me dawg.
I am not wanting, i am (hopefully) waiting
After dying to Laurence so many times on my NG+ I get chills seeing just the cleric beast lol, it's like I'm expecting him to burst into flames and Latin to suddenly start getting chanted in the background lol
I died more times to Mergo's Wet Nurse than Gehrman.
Running Commentary 21 how?
@@aestheticmirror9257 Mostly that uppercut and the bit when she makes multiple clones of herself. Also I could R1 spam Gehrman if I was quick enough and I couldn't with her.
Running Commentary 21 yeah but getting to her back mean she almost couldn’t hit you and that clone thing does one move then disappear and it’s easy to dodge
Running Commentary 21 and Gehrman is fast as fuck, hard to parry, is last phase he as that tornado move that is impossible to dodge and is gun can also down you for a visceral attack
2:13
Hunter: Omae Wa, Mou Shinderu
Celestial Emissary: NANI?!?!
Bro, I spent 4 hours trying to beat the blood starved beast before I took a break to try again the next day. I died *so much* in that fight it was so frustrating. But thankfully I eventually beat him
I just grinned my character killing werewolf’s until I had crazy health
I never struggled on it so that's a flex i guess
Nah, Micolash Cage can be very annoying sometimes.
+Tyrant very annoying
very very fucking anoying
Cheese is so good when you got a bitch ass boss
he was the reason why i never finished bloodbourne.
General Wok you really should just summon someone or use the choir set with arcane lake
Interesting. Blood starved beast took me like a few minutes. Guess that’s the thing with Fromsoft games. Everyone struggles with different bosses
Fighting Ol' Skinflaps with the Beast Claws is a real treat, makes it feel like you're just two hungry predators duking it out
I guess in NG+ because you can’t get the claws without the chalice dungeon.
@@SorowFame it does show up as a boss on the same Loran layer you get the claws too. I know, I've been there like three hours ago ^^
"Cower behind the safety of my shield..."
Bisch, you have a GUN. Y'know, the things that made shields and plate armour obsolete?
So, long time lurker, but after a few days trapped in due to a hurricane I finally got around to playing bloodborne. It was a blast actually getting to put all the fights in context, and me and a friend were joking that I had inverse fight difficulty after 1 shotting Gascoigne, 3 shotting gehrman, but getting bodied repeatedly by rom and celestial emissary. Keep up the great work DeMod, thanks for all you do man
Honestly, I find the Cleric Beast tougher than Gascoigne. Prob cuz I’m pretty bad at dodging larger opponents, but still.
Kobbe same. Killed Gascoigne my first try on my very first play through
@@AQS521 Killed orphan first try, first playthrough, no upgrades, no lvl, no DS experience, no gaming experience and I'm 6

*HACKS*
It took me so many attempts to beat the Cleric Beast, but I hear Gascoigne first time
“The wave of Goobers” is the best line ever
In bloodborne is where i really learned to dodge, it was useful for DS3 for a no shield build.
When the cleric beast came up, I read it as 'celery beast' XD
blood starved beast made me quit for like 2 months.
Sir Alonne from Ds2 made me quit for an year
Slick Beats pinwheel made me quit

My save file like glitched out or something right after the boss and brought me back to before
2 days baby so ez
I uh, i lost to blood starved beast literally thirty times..... I had to have my friend beat it for me
@@EXplodingLEmon1 yeah I tried that cause that's what my friend said to do, yet I still died thirty times 😅 somehow blood starved beast was the only boss i died more then ten times to
It is the hardest. This beast and father gascoine
@@bubassaurobr ngl these 2 bosses can be parried. They are a piece of cake if you learnt to parry well.
You have No honor
Me too, I died less to the orphan of kos. Even when using the blood cocktail, beast blood pellet, fire paper and saw cleaver I still died like 15 times and was pretty much up to RNG
And then you get credit for the cinematography and the jokes. ;)
+DezoPenguin phin
DezoPenguin Hi, my Bloodborne got corrupted recently and I have to beat the game to ng+7 all over again and then make a meta character. So I thought it would be fun if you guys joined me on my TH-cam streams because I'm really bored. I can give you advices about the game or we can communicate with each other. A lot of people got this game for free on ps plus that I was actually trolling with my friend and we probably will. But if you started the game and you need help just ask me. Overall I just want to have fun and I'm bored beating the game 8 times again so you can join my streams if you want. Bye. No advertising, just bored.
"Those two shit whales from Hamlet"
I'm like 20 seconds in and already dying
I remember my first playthrough of the game having the witch of hemwick repeatedly shooting the blue grab spell from my blind spot and getting killed by her and the mob several times. I forever find them frustrating just for that experience.
I feel like you misrepresented Micolash. You don't have to mindlessly chase him until he "decides" to run into the rooms. It's a puzzle boss, and a fairly clever one if you ask me.
In what way is it clever?
Exactly. We decide where he goes.
He’s not hard to direct where you need, but I wouldn’t call him a clever puzzle boss.
The first phase is easy but the second phase is stupid with the fucking arcane beam
I am too bored and tired to come up with a name As long as you stay close to him, he’ll never use it
The hilarious thing about the Failures is that if you time it right, you can get a backstab while they cast the meteor shower and be invincible the entire casting period. It's amazing.
+The Legend of Xander LOL that's amazing! I've gotta try that on my next DLC run.
Why does everyone keep pronouncing 'vicar' that way...
English
who cares
Again. Died to 0 times in run shows up too many times.
Don't misread me, i like the video series but please, leave that mention out.
You even contradict yourself at 12:43 claiming this, while shortly after saying you died to it the most.
:/
+CukiSouls You really just had to nitpick HIS video like that lol Go make your own videos then
+CukiSouls Note, he says he died the most in his first playthrough. This implies he did a second playthrough just for this series, and I believe this to be true for all of them.
12:48 “your looking at the boss i died to the most in my first playthrough” it says 0 deaths
1987 Evan this is the death count of his run for video footage
That damn Bloody Crow of Cainhurst must have killed me 100 times before I finally beat him.
Aside from a couple of exceptions, I pretty much agree with this list.
I smashed Paarl to smithereens when I got to him, but I think it was because I found him later than I should have and was way over levelled. And. frankly, fuck the Blood Starved Beast right in the ear....I hated that fight...
evade and uae antidotes
the blood starved beast i beat first try in my first run through and my new game +
Stuart Livermore f
Stuart Livermore i feel you. I stocked up on molotov coktails, blood cocktails and those fire papers which makes your weapon do fire damage. Made it a bit easier :)
That one Guy Yes, Yes That did make the fight easier but I still kept dying of poison because I didn't even have time to throw a blood cocktail because BSB would just just leap towards me and kill me, I managed to beat it once thanks to a guy I called to help me
When you first try vicar amelia but you died 24 times to the bloodstarved beast lol

The Blood-Starved beast was the hardest boss in the game BY FAR, I beat a vast majority of the bosses on the first try and only died one or two times on the others. Meatflaps took me like 4 or 5 tries tho
+Scrotie Wantubsis
I agree, the Blood-Starved was the hardest for me too
gotta parry the world son. honestly I parry far easier in this game than Dark Souls so the fight was really easy.
The Bacon Aegis I parried for dayz in BB, I just rarely parried bosses. Honestly the blood-starved beast doesn't look parryable
Scrotie Wantubsis it's hard to parry it because its hard to see the attacks. Especially in the 3rd phase. I just kinda waited for the easiest attacks to parry then let loose
beat him first try surprisingly, but rom i probably died 15 times. dumbest boss.
Talking about the undead giant: "-Really he just punishes the greedy."
Me looking into mirror: "I think he's talking about you my dude."
I hate that mirror guy too. Always answering back
I have to say, that although i agree that The One Reborn is pretty easy, its soundtrack is freaking awesome and epic.
The One Reborn was so hard to beat Idk why but it was the hardest boss in the game to me. Celestial Emissary was also very difficult
Vicar was so easy cause THE GOLDEN RULE dodge left stick to that booty equals EZ as soon as I learned the golden rule the game got way easier
another tip for blood starved beast strugglers, you can use pungent blood cocktails to lure him. During that time, you can get tons of hits in.
I would have platinumed bloodborne if it wasn't for the chalice dubgeons. I hate them.
+Snickering Tortoise me too...
+Snickering Tortoise I loved the idea in theory, but by the time I made it to the Queen I was sooooo tired of them. I absolutely love fighting the bosses, but the dungeons felt so generic after 2-3 of them. I think a boss rush mode would've been much better.
+theDeModcracy Yeah, by the way i never thought you'd reply haha
lol I do my best to read and reply to as many comments as I can!
+theDeModcracy That is pretty cool
Really??? I found Micolash to be a really cool and atmospheric fight! His music is also so awesome
But... the fucking run is insufferable.
Aoooooooooooooooon

My man just pulled a make contact while the meteors are falling. Savage.
I died to The Living Failures three times, and beat Amagydala first time.
For me, so far, Ebrietas has been the toughtest, and I only have Lady Maria, Laurence, Orphan of Kos, Gherman and Moon Presence left.
I've played Bloodborne for over 30 hours... haven't defeated the Cleric Beast

It’s been 7 Months, how’s the game?
i think he means he accidently skipped the cleric beast because it is optional
It is optional
Dude, i started bloodborne 2 days ago and i just found the cleric beast a day ago and defeated it on my first try, why is it hard for you? It was slow and easy to hit
My favorite TH-cam channel. My favorite game. Lifes pretty good
Gotta be honest, Paarl was the boss who gave me the most problems, I even had to get a friend to help, although everything was just smooth sailing from there.
I'm not sure why everyone think Amelia is hard, bloodborne is my first souls game and I beat her on my 1st try.
same. i don't know why people say she's hard
same
Sandokan_MC I didn't get it either at first as I beat her on my first try too, but then died to her over and over on NG+ so I think somewhere in the middle is a good place for her.
Sandokan_MC I beat her on the 3rd try
Im a souls veteran and I think why this easy boss gave me so much trouble was her agility and the camera
I can tell you did a lot of writing for this, awesome work
B-But...The living failures were harder than Maria for me...
+Ikanaide アンク They're definitely a deceptively hard boss. Getting ganged up on can always be tough, and they hit like a sack of bricks.
+theDeModcracy And that meteor strike was a pain since I didn't know it came from the same side.
if you think Souls games are hard you probably never tried minesweeper

I love how cleric beats is 28th even though it’s the only boss on this list I couldn’t beat even in ng+
Can I ask why some people pronounce Vicar as 'VY-car' instead of 'Vikker'?
+MattEngarding Because they can.
Ok then.
I think it's an American thing. My guess is, you don't really get vicars in the US, you get pastors and reverands instead.
Makes sense I guess.
+MattEngarding What Thomas said. It really is due to how it's spelled and the fact that we don't have them here, so we were never taught how to say it.
You do realise Amelis is a vicar, as in a religious preacher right? Vye-car makes no sense and sounds awful.
Digggyyyyy THANK YOU, seems like someone who did so much "research" would be able to pronounce it right.
lol vycar amelia
Huh. I didn't know what a vicar was so I thought it was pronounced "vih-car" and it was like a family last name or something.
Also an American here. Vicar is a fairly old fashioned title but ive heard it before
Demod, I know I’m late to the party, but thank you.
"learning tool" it took me weeks to defeat the cleric beast ;_;
Ouch... the cleric beast was a good learning tool for me. Took me like 5-6 attempts with a friend coaching me in how riding worked.
I love the comments on these videos, because I can see how different bosses shit on players that other players find easy and vice versa
Yes that's why bloodborne is interesting right
Now, I know I’m definitely a bit of a weird case because I never played any souls games, or really any similar games before Bloodborne for that matter, but my rankings would be totally different. Amelia would be way closer to the bottom, Mergo would be closer to the middle, Cleric beast would be much higher on the list, shadows would be almost at the bottom, and moon presence would be in part two easily.
Vicar is pronounced like "vicker" not "vy-car". I don't know why people keep pronouncing it like that. Vicar is a real word.
Because in the US we don’t really use “Vicar” in speech, so we say it how it’s spelled.
Lol no is "Vi-ckar"....
@@JakeTheRake1000 I'm an American, and I totally agree 10000%. Not all of us mind you, but at least 80-90% are, for sure
Vicar is a Church of England thing so it's not really surprising that a lot of people haven't heard of the title before.
The love I have for this game is out of this world. Playing it again.
This really shows the variation in difficulty, I died to the living failures 10+ times because I couldn’t figure out that damn meteor attack but beat Ludwig in 3 tries and Maria in 2 so...
Did anybody else have trouble with Rom or is it just me?
Will Steward for me Rom was the creepiest and most difficult boss his ice attacks where so fucking annoying
Sebastian Cosenza There’s your problem, it wasn’t ice, it was arcane. You just have to balance out the physical and arcane defense.
A Salty One well i honestly didn't upgrade arcane just vitality stamina and strength till i got to level 100 lol now I know how all stats work
Yes I hated rom. But the worst part wasn't him. It was those spiders of his.
Rom the fucking spider was one of the bosses thst took me the longest
I actually slapped vickar first try after not having played a souls game in over 3 years lol I also did it in about 5 mins 18 seconds
The Chalice Dungeon version of Darkbeast Paarl certainly doesn't deserve any "easiest boss" votes.
The regular darkbeast Paarl was one of the hardest bosses for me. I don't know why but I just couldn't beat it at first
for me, the easiest boss is celestial emissary. The witches of henwick could kill you if they start to spawn a lot of spells
No. Even then I could beat the witches
Tiny Tonitrus and shaman blade completely fucks the celestial emissary
