    I recently bought the Femobook A68 grinder.
    The new version has improved the noise level, making it less bothersome.
    However, they changed the burr design! Resulting in a different taste profile: darker acidity (not less acidic), rounder tased body with increasing sweetness, but almost no aroma compared to my C40. For pour-over the brew has an over intensity that is uncomfortable, with the front, middle, and end sections approximately 2:5:4.(C40 is 3:3:2 with bursting aroma).
    A68 requires faster flow rate drippers or brewing methods, but the aroma cannot be compensated back.
    So, despite its ease of cleaning, I'm sadly considering selling it. I hope switching to the DF64V + SSP MP burr will be a good choice. While the TIMEMORE's size is nice, its cleaning difficulty makes it less desirable to me.

    Great job guys! That's a lot of testing and tasting and adjusting... well done!
    Former DF64 and DF83 owner and now Arco and DF64V. I do agree with you. The 64V is definitely something else. Hard to believe it's a $600 grinder or just $800 with your favorite burr set.
    Feels premium and absolutely delivers when it comes to taste.
    Keep up the good work ✌️

      Thank you! We have loved all of them and the roasting profile was right on point. There was a unique and delicious one, which is the El Diamante Geisha from Costa Rica, cinnamon notes and cookies were very valid and present in it 💯

    Great grinder review round-up! Currently I own a 1zpresso K-max and do filter only. If I had to choose an electrical grinder, I'd get the quietest one, even if I had to stretch my budget. For now hand grinding is not a huge issue for filter, even when making a bigger batch for the family. My only issue is with lighter roasts, that's why I drink medium mostly.

    • @ourcoffeeshelter
      @ourcoffeeshelter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I think the star seeker burr has 8 spokes vs the option o’s 7. Might help slow the feed rate on that larger burr, which seems to be a good thing for conicals.

    • @ourcoffeeshelter
      @ourcoffeeshelter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, you are right, it has 8 angles, however, we meant it had the same geometry.
      Slow feeding disc like the one in the Niche Zero might be a smart idea to try! 💯🤍☕️

    Would you recommend the DF64 gen 2 w/SSP MP or the DD64V stock for espresso and filter use?

    • @ourcoffeeshelter
      @ourcoffeeshelter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gen 2 with MP burrs, however, the beauty of RPM adjustments, sizewise, sound, and overall feedback, personally will go with the DF64v and upgrade along the line with SSP burrs.
      Don't forget to benefit from our discount codes either ways. Goodluck! ☕️🤍

    With the Gevi Grindmaster on the way, how do you think it compares to the DF64V. Would you prefer one over the other? If so, for what reasons?

    • @ourcoffeeshelter
      @ourcoffeeshelter  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there, not sure if you checked our video on the Gevi. Would say both are wonderful, however, the Gevi with its Plasma generator, open hopper, smooth grinding dial, and the scale in the dosing cup. It is just a true pleasure to use ☕️🤍

    How’s the retention on the d64v? Love the aesthetic of this V versus the regular d64, but the cheaper price point and the plasma generator makes it a tough decision

  • @philindeblanc

    We ALL really need a DF64variable vs a DF83variable, with stock DLC, and MAYBE 64ssp vs Stock (as changing burrs on 83v is not cost friendly).

    • @ourcoffeeshelter
      @ourcoffeeshelter  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there, we did speak about this in our DF83V review.
      The DF83V will give super similar results to the DF64v when both are well aligned and with SSP burrs.
      The main and biggest advantage is the grinding speed and sometimes more consistent results with super light roasts ☕️🤍

Do i take the df64 v or do i wait for the new oro single dose + or do you have an other advice please for 600 euros max. I can wait for one or two month.
