I love your video. I have been using the Kopi Deva for approx 4 months and backed them on Indigogo when they launched-I waited two years… for the grinder. But just wanted to correct a few things on this video. 1. The grinder comes with a holder and the dosing cup can actually sit nicely, and the coffee grind will go directly into it. No mess 2. The retention rate, The grinder comes with an RDT bottle. Just like all grinders, RDT it and I have no issues with retention. But I know this is subjective. 3. To feed the beans into the grinder, it comes with a nice stainless steel bean cup that you can weigh your coffee beans on, and the size of the cup fits directly into the grinder with no problem. Hope that helps. It's a great grinder but with a premium price, unfortunately. (well… at least it is better value than lagom )
64mm grinders have a huge advantage in that the burr options are much cheaper than 83mm. I would love to see you compare df64 gen2 w/ SSP MP, df64v with DLC and df83v2 with standard Itamill steel burrs as they all start to be in comparable price ranges with those burrs. If df64 + SSP MP tastes as good as df83 + standard burrs, that would be a HUGE advantage in favor of df64 gen2.
DF83 stock burrs are very different than SSP MP in 64mm (I believe they're making SSP 83mm MP burrs but they're pretty pricey in 83mm!) SSP MP are very high clarity and low body, ideal for quality light roasts and pour overs / cupping. They can be unforgiving when dialed in poorly. DF83 stock burrs are good all round burrs, you get some body, less intensity and some flavour clarity with more lingering aftertaste. Probably best for Espresso medium roasts but works for light too. I found it did really well for Aeropress too I might put it up against some other grinders for pour over because I haven't tried that yet with the DF83.

I just received my DF64V today and have only ground some old beans but not brewed anything yet. I'm really impressed by how quiet the grinder is, and the paint (I have the black model) is so much better looking in real life than what I was expecting from photos I've seen on-line. The paint really looks great and that was a huge relief. Things I don't like: Even though I'd been told I have the new model with the non-stalling controller board I did manage to stall it at 600 RPM using medium roast beans from a cold start. I turned it over and dumped out all the beans out, started it, and it was fine. The other thing I don't like is that is quiet so there's no easy way to tell it's on. I ground some beans at 600 RPM again and it was so quiet after it was done I accidentally left it running for 10 mins or so. I'm afraid I'll forget and leave it on all day if I'm not careful. I wish either that it'd turn off automatically when it was done or that the RPM dial light would turn off when the grinder's off. The light on the RPM dial is really bright and it's not great that it's on all the time anyway. Seems like a simple oversight that would have been an easy thing to do right. In any case, in general I'm happy and looking forward to playing with it this weekend.
Totally agree - the bright LCD numbers lit up 24 hours a day are a design flaw on the DF64v. Maybe some kind of tinted film to darken it would be a good mod
Im still struggling to understanding is it worth going for the bigger df83? Apart from the more powerfull motor what others advantage would there be? Would it be worth paying the extra?

How does the DF64 gen 2 grind quality compare to a Mazzer Major? I have a Mazzer Major modded for single dosing but the mess, retention, workflow is something I don't like about it. I am happy with the grind quality though. The DF 64 gen 2 seems amazing at it's price point.
I watched lots and lots of grinder review videos and felt a bit lost...then I settled on one of the 64mm burr grinders and at 500 Euros for the DF64 Gen 2, 550 for the DF64V and 700 for the Timemore 064s, the DF64V is the one that made most sense to me so that's what I got. Coming from my Smart Grinder Pro, I was blown away - looks, build, footprint, the fact that it runs absolutely whisper quiet - everything. That and of course the fact that it doesn't seem to fight for its life like the Sage whenever I try to grind light roasted beans finely enough for my 58mm portafilter (the Sage was doing great paired with my 51mm Delonghi).
Looking more and more like the gen2 with ssps is the best bang for buck in grinders rn. i have a 078s for 500 on the way but ill probably let that thing go just cause the DF fits on my counter better, plus i like the walnut hit
Hey, in Canada - "Zed." No. In the Commonwealth - "Zed." The grinder with the lithium battery really doesn't make sense to me unless you are transferring to a boat or RV. So I get the grinder, where do I put it. Well, relatively close to my espresso machine. And what is my espresso machine close to - an electrical outlet. If you are lazy, I am, you want the grinder close to an outlet to plug it in for charging. And what will most people do, leave the machine plugged in all the time because it's a mild pain in the butt to plug in the unit for charging, then unplugging it. And what will kill your lithium battery? Leaving the unit plugged in all the time.
The palm tapping is such a good tip!! Even with RDT I've been banging on my lagom mini to get the last bit out (probably not good for the alignment, I know). I was considering getting some bellows and hadn't heard the complaints you mentioned. I'm really glad I didn't because I can definitely see that being a really annoying problem. Just the palm tapping speeds up my grind time and removes the need for the bellows and RDT!
64v is currently my top 1 grinder after consider the price, the value it bring, the burr swap option in future. been used for few month and change to ssp mp burr and the performance on filter was super great, the retention is super low near to 0. But for espresso, i more prefer the DLC, if using bean like brazil, or medium roast blend...and now...im consider to get 1 more 64v stick with DLC burr for espresso (or future change to lab sweet burr) then another 64v stick with ssp mp all the way just for filter coffee.
I have the df64 gen 2 and noticed the whirring after grinding similar to 24:00. Is this usual? Is it just stuck grounds? Asking as I've only ever used hand grinders before
That's what I did. At first I was leaning towards df83, after the release of df64 gen2 I realized I could get a df64 + SSP burr for less than a df83 with stock burr
Few improvements while using the Kopi deva. 1) Use the cup holder to keep it from getting messy 2) use a lower grind setting 600-900rpm, then reduce the rpm with the knob after grinding all the beans. This will cause the rest of the grinds to drop into cup. No fuss at all and more importantly no retention.
PTI: I’m about to purchase one from the Turin line. I’ll be doing pretty much just espresso, as I have a brew grinder. I love the DF 64 V2s plasma generator at work. Wow. I also like the idea of the DF83s more traditional type shots with the OEM burr. I’ll be pulling shots on a Flair 58+. Disregarding the variance in cost, would I be cool with the DF 64 V2. Ironically I’m coming from a Niche Zero… but was never a fan of the Kony burr. Thanks much. You are appreciated more than you know.
Hey hey, thanks for the review! As someone who is torn between getting a df64gen2 or the sculpture 064s for my cafelat robot, i am intrigued as to why you did not include it (again) in this comparison. Or is this absence already a statement, dear kyle?
I keep thinking the Kopi Deva is a conical burr with that shape. Funny you also said the same thing. Get a little ceramic Gong Fu tea vessel thing (Loveramics has their own coffee version but it's more $$), it helps with dosing into small opening grinders like Weber Key/HG2. I use for mine, and got some extras to sell :)
Love your videos, but the KOPI DEVA presentation looks extremely unfair. I have two and I've seen issues like you showed but when it's put together correctly, these issues went away. It's clearly not made to be beat on or I don't find bellows as necessary at all. Simply turning up the rpms to 1200 at the end until the grind goes quite and turning it off lets the coffee fall out completely in my experience. Did you call Kopi Deva to see if your experience was off? I had a problem similar and it was easily resolved and find retention not a problem at all, especially on filter. SSP MP filter in this is fantastic. Battery lasts a month and it's small and classy looking. No cables is so nice for the kitchen. Price is now comparable to the Zerno which is a fair point, but it's handmade in England to super sturdy quality and precision. You also have a 1000w motor on battery that grinds light coffee at 200rpm without stalling on battery! A fair review of it would at least point out these aspects. I love mine over my DF64, Niche, etc. I am open to a larger 83mm/98mm zerno if they make it.
@@KyleRowsell well I’m going to go out on a limb and just join the waitlist anyways as I got an email inviting me. I’m sure I will love it. 🤞🤞🤞 keep up the great content and reviews.
@@KyleRowsell Kyle, as a long time former Mazzer owner… SJ, Major, there never seemed to be any discussion of alignment. This was back in the early 90s. What’s the difference these days? Less robust burr carriers?
@@KyleRowsell Thanks. Granted, our grinders were massive, huge retention, but made comfort shots. I’d assume those thick chocolate laden shots/blends hid the lack of clarity in a cloak of massive crema!! Apologies for the off topic lean.
@@KyleRowsell like you highlighted the workflow is a bit frustrating. It also doesn't work well with the SSP MP as Kopi have highlighted themselves. I'm just a bit of a light-roast turbo fan.
I got a 2nd batch (V2?) Zerno coming SOON! With BLIND SSP MP Burrs, And like 30lbs of seasoning coffee, I'm curious to see if it's going to make a difference pre- and post seasoning. I also have my P64 with SSP MP burrs which should be seasoned by now! Still not sure what my favorite 64mm burr is, but MP, Mizen and the older P64 stock burrs (looked similar to the DF64v burr geometry and probably identical to the Gorilla Gear burrs, but without the black coating). I also liked the SSP HU espresso burrs, but didn't keep them around long because I had so many grinders and burrs, I already had a low clarity and a high clarity grinder I didn't feel I needed a medium / balanced one . But I do think it's nice to have a good balanced option now. I think that's what I do like about the Old P64 burrs, they're a good balanced burr nice clarity and some body, good for filter or espresso generally good all round. The updated Mizen burrs (a bit less clarity but more body vs the original Mizen burrs) might also fit that description!
Thank you for all the info! I hope you generate enough money to pay for all these grinders… I’d love to know how well the cheaper grinders are aligned, especially the gen 2 df64. How do you characterize the difference in the espresso cup between gen 2 df64 and Niche Duo? And what’s your guess about gen 2 df64 w/ HU burrs vs the Duo in the cup? (I figure the Duo likely has more clarity than the 83mm Italmills, so might be a good comparison.) Thanks!
Good info,,,got a pinecone pinion recently ( wish someone would review those) , although it's not technically a SD grinder it is quiet, fast, swiss burrs, pre brake auger and 400$...if I decide I don't like this will definitely be grinder I get
new to the espresso world, got a machine picked out, i need a grinder. love/want the zerno, but it's not available and who knows how long until pre-orders start going out (which i'm not a part of). is the df64 v2 good enough to hold me over until i can get a zerno, or is there a cheaper grinder for espressos than that?
I have a Lux D grinder and I am looking for a single dose one, do you recommend the DF64 Gen2? Is the coffee I’ll get from it comparable with the one a get from the Lux D (Mazzer mini)? Thank you for your help
Great overview /comparison :) I never used to mind using a bellows, but I noticed it does seem to increase inconsistency in your dose output sometimes when you use them and does make more of a mess generally. So now I think it's best if a grinder doesn't require it. I don't use it on the DF83 after modifying the declumper it only has about 0.3g retention and I don't find that's too bad. I also found the Eureka Oro SD worked better for me WITHOUT the bellows. DF64v borrowed a lot from the P64, and I think they got the magnetic chute idea from Kafatek grinders which had the magnetic chute WAAAY before :) DF64v Burr vs DF64 Gen2 with the same but 'uncoated' burr, have you found differences in taste? The belief used to be that the burr coatings just affect longevity (and seasoning time) BUT I believe the coatings DO affect the flavour profile, I'm suspecting the coated burrs have a lower friction co-efficient and will generate less fines. So slightly less body and more clarity on the DF64v, would be my guess. Also lower RPM can go further in that direction, but that's something that is debated. I think it does but it also depends on which burrs you're using, I noticed more dramatic differences with variable RPM with SSP MP burrs. Wow on the DF64 Gen2, that IS a very nice neat coffee stream. Nice. It sounds like a regular DF64 to me, which isn't bad, just sounds like a powerful motor. One other thing the Gen2 DF64 has that the DF64V does not, is PORTAFILTER Forks! So that is a pro for those who don't want to 'HAVE' to use the cup.
@@KyleRowsell Looking forward to the 01 from Option O but would be really excited something to see a new auger fed vertical 98mm with zero retention and a better work flow and alignment out of the box than the EK43.
@@KyleRowsell I love my p100 as well and I have no retention issues and I do not RDT. I was thinking about the vertical burrs as possibly being a better orientation for eliminating "regrinding" if that is a real thing on the p100.
Good feature overview of these grinders. Curious what your favorite grinder setup or dailydriver is right now for filter coffee as far as just pure flavor profile is concerned.
Kyle, I'm confused by your comment about plastic in the DF64. I have one and literally everything (base, body, forks, adjustment cap and upper carrier) is solid aluminum. The only plastic parts are the vinyl wrap around the body, the dial sticker on top of the adjustment cap, and the indicator light on the power button.
Thanks for sharing… What would you choose between Niche One, Niche Duo or a DF64 considering I drink mostly light espresso but also like the occasional filter coffee.
damn how much I'd like to buy the Zerno... but 1,3k is definitely too much for this for me. Especially when you compare it to the DF64 gen2... Almost 1000 euros more expensive. That's crazy. I don't think that 99% of the people need this upgrade. I'd rather take the step and go for the DF83v2 then instead of the Zerno. Thanks for your video Kyle! Greets from germany.
I need help! looking for a grinder in the $300-600 for mostly pour over and some espresso for my wifes occasional vanilla latte. What grinder would you reccomend?
I currently have the Baratza Sette 270 grinder. Would it be worth my while to consider getting the DF64 Version 2, or are the differences not that great?
Thanks for the video. Do you need to align the butts of a new grinder? I got the 64v and I’m afraid to make fine grinds. This is my first. First thing I did was zero it. Even slightly above zero, my grinds are still big. I’m using the stock burr.
@KyleRowsell really like your videos. The comparison is so good. Can you do a review of the Femobook grinder please. I saw one of those sitting in your desk in one of your videos-i forget which -probably the video where you review the balls-em, i meant chilled balls used for esspresso aroma locking.😊
Reading buyer reviews, even with PAAAAZMA ENERATORRRR... they are still getting some static and retention. How long and how often have you used it, and your feedback on static and retention?
Gotta say, while I do appreciate the removable chute on the df64V, I really still think it should have an ionizer. I don't want to take a chute off and clean it all the time, and I live in a very dry climate so static is no joke. I basically have to do RDT every time but it would be nice if the grinder was as low maintenance as possible.
Hi! Got my df64v2 yesterday, and i must say : - there is nothing cheap or "budgety" with this grinder, absolutely nothing! E v e r y t h i n g is made out of metal👍🏻( it's even got the metal on/off switch!) .
Thanks for this, I’m just getting started and loved the quietness and variable rpm and look of the DF64V but the DF64 v2 ionizer and price point is hard to beat.
I am new to the grinder market. I would love to get a long lasting, by and forget burr grinder for mostly pour over filter coffee. This DF64 ver2 seems very compelling but I don’t want to buy a grinder that is meant more for espresso and less for a pot of coffee going through a commercial Bunn. If I was to get the DF64 ver 2, what would be the best setting for it(pour over)? Should I even get it at all?
I got the DF83 v2. Is the df64 v2 better? I am asking because for some weird reason, I like more how my coffee tastes when using the grinder on the Breville barista pro than the DF83. If someone has an explanation for this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your interesting review. I was about to order the DF64 because where I am it is discounted now to 386$ It usually sells for around 500$. I really need a grinder and I need help deciding if I should just go for it or wait for V2 to appear in our market which can take a very long time and will be surely way more expensive than 500$.
Great video. Also before anyone goes out and buys the wrong grinder, that is the DF64 Gen2 NOT the DF64 V2. Really poor choice of naming from the manufacturer.
I was so close to getting the Deva (it certainly is the most beautiful of the lot) but was worried about the retention issues and, to a lesser extent, the very small port for dumping the beans into which almost requires use of their included scoop. This is the first time I've seen someone actually show the workflow and how to deal with the retention, and it 100% validated my choice. Sad... this grinder is SO close to being perfect. On the other hand, the flow of grounds out of the DF64 2 is astonishing! I wish it was a bit more aesthetically pleasing. I really wish you would have shown workflow with the Zerno and DF64v the way you did with the others. Seeing and hearing how they work is so important... :(
Deva owner here. Its a phenomenal grinder and there are no retention issues. The grinds can sit in the shoot at times, more at the higher rpm but if you turn the button off and on a few times the grinds fall out. Beautiful grinder
5:00 I think just like with cars or cameras / photography gear or probably anything, you're likely going to have better results getting used to your gear you have and knowing it's limitations and quirks so you know what works best with it and can really master it. Of course if you have an espresso machine or grinder that's inconsistent that could cause complications in that case (especially for coffee, you want consistency, so might be worth upgrading!) but if you have something that works nicely, working to understand it and master it should give you better coffee than upgrading and having to re-learn how things behave, (and potentially have to re-season burrs etc). I've gone through a lot of burrs and grinders and probably would have enjoyed coffee more if I just had a stuck with one or two, also dialing in for espresso on multiple grinders for comparing and contrasting is twice as tricky :p
I own the Kopi Deva for 17 months now, and to me it has the best workflow of any SD grinder i have ever used. There are no workflow issues. You lost the peripheral that comes with it... This grinders has exactly ZERO retention when you use it how it's supposed to. I very much prefer pushing on/off 1-2 times to using bellows in addition to the fact that no bellows make any grinder prettier. It is different to other grinders, but better imo.
You should do a video like the best coffee machine under 1k, 2k etc. but combos eg. best coffee machine and grinder for 5k just starting from scratch and would love to know what’s best combo for my budget.

That and of course the fact that it doesn't seem to fight for its life like the Sage whenever I try to grind light roasted beans finely enough for my 58mm portafilter (the Sage was doing great paired with my 51mm Delonghi).
Damn that coffee stream from the DF 64 tho!
Zerno ordered in May. Sooo looking forward. Almost as much as the Argos.
How you liking it?
@Spruce_Bringsteen I love both
Looking more and more like the gen2 with ssps is the best bang for buck in grinders rn. i have a 078s for 500 on the way but ill probably let that thing go just cause the DF fits on my counter better, plus i like the walnut hit
DF64v has more powerfull motor for low rpm SSP MP.
Great review! Thank you! ❤️
Thanks for watching!
I just ordered a Zerno. Can’t wait to get it in a few months.
Oh, sorry 🇨🇦
Not if the charging controller is properly programmed.
But yeah really weird having a battery.
Also zip tie?!?
No Acaia Orbit in this comparison? Really missing out ;)
What about the Lagom P64?
You're going to get 3 grinders?
Oh yeah, that's what been missing from my life. Another grinder review ✌️😂
It’s been a couple weeks, you’re welcome. 🫡
Been waiting for someone to make this exact video, thank you
Thanks for watching
I have the df64 gen 2 and noticed the whirring after grinding similar to 24:00. Is this usual? Is it just stuck grounds? Asking as I've only ever used hand grinders before
Great review, thanks. I'm currently considering the DF83. I only use my grinders for espresso. Should I save more than a $100 and get the DF64 V2?
Honestly, I love it. If you can get a df64 Gen 2 with ssp for less than df83 I probably would.
That's what I did. At first I was leaning towards df83, after the release of df64 gen2 I realized I could get a df64 + SSP burr for less than a df83 with stock burr
Can’t wait for the full Zerno vid, and for mine to arrive!
Amazing video Kyle. I see your ex p64 is looking at this video in sorrow 😄
Just a bit. What a great grinder it is.
Good overview!
Apologize for being an internet commenter - there are three L's in Italmill.
They'll probably be compared in a separate video. 😊
"Cha he." I have the Loveramics - Thousands Hundreds Ten collaboration, inspired by James Hoffmann; love it.
Sculptor?
I just ordered the DF64-2 as a first grinder at $399 which is twice that of the encore esp that I was going to get
I don’t understand why has the Zerno Z1 review video not happened yet?
simple... I don't have the updated Z1 v2 yet
@@KyleRowsell well I’m going to go out on a limb and just join the waitlist anyways as I got an email inviting me. I’m sure I will love it. 🤞🤞🤞 keep up the great content and reviews.
Whats the difference between the DF64 V5 and the DF64 Gen2? Thanks!
Love your videos! Does the DF64V have the same plasma generator as the DF64 for retention and clumping?
How difficult is aligning burrs on both new DF 64 grinders? Kyle, in your experience were they decently aligned out of the box?
Yes, they needed minor alignment, but about the same as the df83 for difficulty.
@@KyleRowsell Kyle, as a long time former Mazzer owner… SJ, Major, there never seemed to be any discussion of alignment. This was back in the early 90s. What’s the difference these days? Less robust burr carriers?
@@robertjason6885 it was likely lack of widespread knowledge or care. Ek43s have been aligned for the past decade or two.
@@KyleRowsell Thanks. Granted, our grinders were massive, huge retention, but made comfort shots. I’d assume those thick chocolate laden shots/blends hid the lack of clarity in a cloak of massive crema!! Apologies for the off topic lean.
Zerno or DF64 Gen.2 IMO. Zerno if budget wasn't a big concern, DF64 Gen 2 seems hard to beat at the price. Both are very compelling!
Very impressed with df64 Gen 2
Great timing. Literally just waiting for my DF64V to compare and potentially replace my Kopi Deva. 😂
Not enjoying it?
I ordered a df64 gen 2 and shortly after a zerno with hu blind burrs. Can't wait for zerno to arrive in January.
You’ll love it
When will the new DF64 Gen 2 be releasing? I can't find any info on it.
Good info,,,got a pinecone pinion recently ( wish someone would review those) , although it's not technically a SD grinder it is quiet, fast, swiss burrs, pre brake auger and 400$...if I decide I don't like this will definitely be grinder I get
I thought that there was going to be a verdict at the end. What happened??
new to the espresso world, got a machine picked out, i need a grinder. love/want the zerno, but it's not available and who knows how long until pre-orders start going out (which i'm not a part of). is the df64 v2 good enough to hold me over until i can get a zerno, or is there a cheaper grinder for espressos than that?
DF64v borrowed a lot from the P64, and I think they got the magnetic chute idea from Kafatek grinders which had the magnetic chute WAAAY before :)
DF64v Burr vs DF64 Gen2 with the same but 'uncoated' burr, have you found differences in taste?
Thanks for the comment as always!
p100 still your favorite grinder?
It’s up there, for sure. I love it. But there’s a few others I’m also very excited about.
@@KyleRowsell Looking forward to the 01 from Option O but would be really excited something to see a new auger fed vertical 98mm with zero retention and a better work flow and alignment out of the box than the EK43.
Yeah, I mean that’s essentially what the p100 is without the vertical auger fed. The retention is not an issue.
Do you think the Df64 v2 with ssp HU burrs better than df83v2 ?
@Kyle: For Espressolovers: DF64 Gen2 or DF64P? Thanks :-)!
Thanks for sharing… What would you choose between Niche One, Niche Duo or a DF64 considering I drink mostly light espresso but also like the occasional filter coffee.
Did you end up also getting a Zerno Z1 (2nd edition?) and have you compared them?
damn how much I'd like to buy the Zerno... but 1,3k is definitely too much for this for me.
Good morning Kyle, do you know about when you have a full review out for the Zerno V1?
Oh I see you have mxcool aries at the back. How does it compare to key and niche in taste profile?
I currently have the Baratza Sette 270 grinder. Would it be worth my while to consider getting the DF64 Version 2, or are the differences not that great?
If I go for DLC burrs, will it still give great espresso for lelit bianca??
Thanks for the video. Do you need to align the butts of a new grinder? I got the 64v and I’m afraid to make fine grinds. This is my first. First thing I did was zero it. Even slightly above zero, my grinds are still big. I’m using the stock burr.
Grinder got back
@KyleRowsell really like your videos. The comparison is so good. Can you do a review of the Femobook grinder please. I saw one of those sitting in your desk in one of your videos-i forget which -probably the video where you review the balls-em, i meant chilled balls used for esspresso aroma locking.😊
I hope to cover it soon.
DF64V would have a pour similar to ode gen 2?
Great job Kyle!
Thanks!
Is it worth waiting for the time more?
Depends!
could you provide guidance on how to burr align the deva and make a video for it?
Hi! Got my df64v2 yesterday, and i must say : - there is nothing cheap or "budgety" with this grinder, absolutely nothing! E v e r y t h i n g is made out of metal👍🏻( it's even got the metal on/off switch!) .
Can you review the Starseeker Edge grinder? Would be interested to see your opinion
No Timemore Sculpture included in the comparison?
Not this time.
Thanks for another great video! Do you know a good EU seller for the DF64gen2?
Thanks for this, I’m just getting started and loved the quietness and variable rpm and look of the DF64V but the DF64 v2 ionizer and price point is hard to beat.
I am new to the grinder market. I would love to get a long lasting, by and forget burr grinder for mostly pour over filter coffee. This DF64 ver2 seems very compelling but I don’t want to buy a grinder that is meant more for espresso and less for a pot of coffee going through a commercial Bunn. If I was to get the DF64 ver 2, what would be the best setting for it(pour over)? Should I even get it at all?
For your use, I'd recommend buying a Baratza Virtuoso instead. It's an incredible grinder for drip or French press. And it's built to last.
I got the DF83 v2. Is the df64 v2 better? I am asking because for some weird reason, I like more how my coffee tastes when using the grinder on the Breville barista pro than the DF83. If someone has an explanation for this, I would greatly appreciate it.
How long have you been using the DF83? Maybe you need to use more for seasoning the burrs.
@@rafaelrocha8046 it might be that. I have only been using it for a week, twice a day. However, the Breville tasted better from the first day.
I just purchased an open box DF64 V5 and am pretty happy with it given price. Another $100 for gen 2 didn’t seem too compelling to me.
What is different between the two? The descriptions make it seem like they’re identical.
@@NHK99914 plasma generator is a big one. Build quality and design. Also stock burrs are a little different
I want the Z1 but it sounds like my vacuum when it's clogged
Df64v or df83 just espresso??
Either of these or P64? Looking for a flat to complement or replace my Niche!
Did you watch my df64 Gen 2 section?
