I have a Ford Focus RS mk3, currently at 400hp, the awd on this thing is amazing. With only the sport mode and normal traction control, the car won't budge whatever you do to it and it's very safe. If you use Sport ESC, it becomes a completely different beast, very playful, it throws the back a lot ( oversteers ) and it's incredibly fun, it also has a drift mode which adds even more oversteer. It's a blast to be honest, you get the playfullnes of a rwd car, with all the benefits of the AWD system ( like the stability you get in winter and when raining ).
What do you want to do with your car? I recently test drove a VB WRX manual and it handles very well. I can understand it might be boring, but it needs more power. I just went through a process of so many cars and went from a 2013 BRZ manual I had since new to a 2016 Audi RS3. It’s plenty fun. Probably the biggest issue with the current WRX is they have open diffs instead of LSD, and no adjustment unlike the VA WRX STI. I take my RS3 to the skid pan to have “sideways” fun. I’m very pleased with the RS3 so far, it just grips and goes. I plan to have a go at autocross/khanacross in it when I have the time.
Shot fired! But I agree it feels too big and safe; Almost like you are driving a suv. I mean I guess that is why the ebrake is there. Next car I want to go back to rwd.
@@Watsaname1999 same brotha, but I love the styling of the VB Wrx, which is why I’m converting it to RWD 😎 But for sure the next car will either be a 500+ who AWD BMW or a C8 Vette It’s the underpowered motor on an AWD platform that I really dislike. I’m sure if it had a better motor, I’d like the Subaru Awd more.
I mean its supposed to be a family car that's also fun to drive and safe. Its not really comparable to a BMW or Audi, especially with the prices difference.
@@gogogadgetGlock agree. I was originally going to be buying a new Audi or BMW, but the 1/2 the price so I could save more money made me get this. It’s a great family car. I don’t totally dislike it. I just wish since it’s a toy car for me, and I won’t drive it in winter, that I got something rwd instead.
I drive a VB. If you want more, you gotta spend more than 35K my friend. Common sense really lol. And the symmetrical AWD doesn't suck. You just don't know how to drive it ahaha
@@Ilovecomedy818 I know how to drive it, I just don’t like it. I’m used to Rwd cars where I can powerslide them just by throttle. Can’t powerslide this car unless the pavement is wet and I kick the clutch.
@@steve8803 I can say I agree if you’re still on factory tire… once I upgraded tires, not longer slip tires. Used to spin the stocks all the time mid pull

Also it's pretty light for a conventional hatchback with AWD, 1.5 tones compared to modern cars that are over 2 tonnes
My 1st AWD car is my '24 WRX. Its alright. Nothing like my IS F but it's been fun. Ill still daily my 92 tercel though lol
awd is ok, I have an evo9 fbo e85 and just got a VB wrx. Its fun going 80mph when its raining.

I drive a h6 liberty/legacy, fun car but awd kinda sucks, it’s why my next car will be a bmw, Audis are cool too but they are also awd
@@aminlogory4684 glad I’m not the only one only who just isn’t impressed with Awd.

@ cause it’s AWD… it wont slide without you ruining the diff. I came from a 95’ M3. Rear wheel drive as well. I 💯 prefer the WRX. Feels more planted
Grip sucks. Wheel spin and hop is amazing.

Lexus is500 brother
I was gonna SAY IS F lol. The original 2ur-gse 😊
So it means its good
@@victorbarberis2603 it means it’s planted and boring. No thrill in driving experience.
