    I'm a long time Toyota Fan and this may be the first Brand new vehicle I ever buy. But a big downfall I see for those will actually take this thing off road is; no tow hooks in the front.

    Buy the extended warranty and then extend that warranty too. Coming from a mechanic this thing is going to be spendy if anything fails on it. Liquid cooled intercooler with 2 front mounts, electronic wastgates, liquid cooled exhaust manifolds 😳, 2 turbos and direct injection. That just sold me on keeping my 5.7.

      turbos are another point of failure. whichever executive in that boardroom suggesting adopting more turbos in toyota's lineups are going to have a lot to answer for in future.

    Might have to trade my 2021 Tacoma for one in a year! Switch from a 2nd gen tundra but now want to get the 2022 tundra.

      It’s not going to be cheap. Over 60k for a mid level TRD OR. Over 70 for upper trims.

      You can get an SR5 crew max 4x4 with trd off-road and convenience package for around 51k. Problem is dealers will probably will never be allocated one without tons of add ons on top.

      Because the EPA doesn't care about customer base anymore. Government regulations go over what the customer wants. And you know that Toyota is always one of the first to jump on the environmentally friendly train whenever governments crack down on vehicle efficiency. It's time to pay respects to the V8 and move on with life.

      What mark up? I didn't drive 25 miles too find multiple dealers charging MSRP. Try. Edit, I now have found one dealer charging 2-3k over, out of the 6 I've been to.

      Toyota is using D4S port and direct injection in all of there new cars like the new TNGA COROLLA,CAMRY,AVALON,RAV4 and HIGHLANDER and even in the hybrid varaints and now the new LAND CRUISER and TUNDRA

    I sold my 2019 Tundra with only 24k miles back in July 2021 in hopes to buy the new 2022 TRDPRO in May 2022 after coming home from my deployment but after they released the prices and not to mention the dealership mark ups I’m going to have to shop for an American truck 🥺

    lexus LS500 had engine failures which was unheard of in lexus ls lineup, they comprised reliability for 3 mpg and emission. stick with 5.7 v8

    So lets get this straight...
    Toyota went away from ripping off Rams hemi and went straight into ripping off Fords ecoboost. I'd say the power boost as well but Toyota was years ahead of ford in the hybrid game.
    Not to mention the IForce hybrid won't be widely available for another 6 months to a year
    Toyota ya screwed this one up

      @@kerktam rams been using the 5.7 for over 20 years. Tundra hasn't been around for 20 years. Ford has been making trucks since ww2 and are far and away the best selling truck ever. And started using the 3.5l twin turbo ecoboost 15 years ago. Not too mention you still see 10 year old rams and f150s on the road but ya never see a 10 year old or older tundra kicking around

      @@jace2wheel762 dude, I'm driving 2010 tundra with 300k miles- no issues with the truck. My previous trucks dodge ram died with 120k miles and f150 died with 165k miles. You are funny man, 2ea 5.7 can be totally different engines

      Why is this a surprise to you? The Tundra has always had 4 catalytic converters since 2009. And my dad managed to replace all 4 of them easily recently, so I don't know what you're talking about FIY days being gone, lol.

    New engine??? Is it really a new engine? it's not the Lexus designed 3.5 V6 that was put in service years and years ago subsequently dropped into the camry then they applied the D4S and atkinson system and drop it in the Tacoma's and now they're applying a Turbo charger system to it and throwing it in the tundra what is new about it? Ov tune and magnuson did all the turbo development work to this engine in the tacoma for the past 5 years. Not new just turboed. (Which is cool only if you still offer the v8) cough and lexus makes an amazing 5.0 v8 why is it not in the tundra cough.
