Did a long tow 400+ Miles up to Anaheim California with a RV 24ft camper trailer...fully loaded! Talking about three huge ice chest fully stocked in the bed with gear five passengers and 6000lb dual axle with full gear..I'm guessing we were hauling around 8000lbs +....the 2022 tundra with turbo V6 is a beast!!! Mountain climb was super easy for this tundra! I also owned a 2017 tundra with 5.7....the main difference between the two is the pulling power for the different powerbands for getting on entrance Ramps for the California freeways! Especially those hairpin turns Then You gotta floor it to merge into the freeway!!!....The 5.7 has monster low end torque to move it to 45mph fast but the turbo V6 has crazy pulling power from 50-70mph range!!! It's like the best of both worlds with the Turbo V6! ...and average gas mileage with medium foot is 9- 10mpg...that was in regular tow mode ...I haven't even tried the tow+ mode LoL
1-Add tow hooks 2- Add storage compartments on the sides of bed in hybrid tundras just like Ram 1500 ( because batteries take all the space present under the back passenger seats )
Offer a Raptor competitor, and a full time 4wd setting , just like the big three have for 10 years already;) personally I’d like a regular cab small pickup truck with a 7 foot box, like they did back in the 1980’s. Turbo 4 cylinder 4x4 with live axles
@@TonkaFire2019 Right. The spec sheet notes towing mirrors under exterior features as a standalone option for all non TRD Pro trims. However, they are not listed under the standalone options section at all. Rather, they are found in the Packages section and there are two versions: Tow Mirrors showing as an option on the Limited only, and Premium Tow Mirrors available on Limited, Platinum and 1794 only. So the two sections have conflicting info regarding tow mirrors and availability, or not, on the SR and SR5 trims
Me and the wife decided on the tundra SR5 after months of reviewing all branded trucks. I'm really excited about this truck but haven't pulled the trigger for fear of it not living up to the hype. Have any of you experienced issues with your 2023 tundra? I heard a few things but toyota jumped right on it and fixed them. I have noticed there is also a few open recalls. Has toyota helped resolve these issues or were you just left stuck. That's my only issue. My wife loves the truck and all we do is come back to the tundra when we look into trucks online. Any advice would be great. I want at least 10 years 300,000 miles out of a truck
@@toyotausa The whole new design ,the improved fuel mileage ,I’m thinking a TRD pro in lunar rock ,it just has capable written all over it ! So probably in spring when you guys release the TRD pro ❤️👍

Hopefully the brake controller is better than the last generation. The only problem I have with my 2018 tundra is the brake controller doesnt work. The dealer told me I have to pay for a diagnostics test and that cost about the same as a stand alone controller. I might as well buy the stand alone and forget about the toyota tech. Nice!👎

It’s nice but in all honesty if you need any of this other than the brake controller you probably shouldn’t be towing.

If you can’t back a trailer with just mirrors you shouldn’t be allowed to tow. Should be an additional endorsement on your license, like a motorcycle.

V6 turbos aren’t for me chief . Feel bad for those footing the bill out of warranty. And electric power steering is not cheap to fix hard pass!
