  • On this episode, I walk through the pain-staking process of installing an ARB Twin Air Compressor under the driver's seat of a 2021 Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel! This install is really all about wiring and extending harnesses so i would recommend a soldering iron and plenty of extra wire. I hope you guys learn from some of the mistakes i made in the video and please leave all of your questions in the comments section so i can answer them ASAP for you! This is going to be a very important install down the road and for the time being will make trail riding much more comfortable and convenient. Thank you for watching and be sure to check out my merch in the link below to help support the channel!

Little update for everyone here! After using the compressor for a few months without issue, I ended up needing it one day and it wouldnt turn on. Traced the issue back to a blown fuse where I had wired it into the cigarette lighter (cigarette lighter fuse 52 had blown) so I dont know if I messed up the switch wiring or if the switch draws too much power from the small fuse. Either way, I replaced the fuse and it works fine so ill keep you posted as I continue to dive into the best way to wire it up.

I love all the work you’ve done on the jeep! I personally love showing up to the river in a jeep… even if you don’t catch fish, you feel cool… the chrome is on the way…

Thank you man! It’s rewarding doing it all in house but it definitely comes with its frustrations haha love the Jeep life! Yessir it is, I’ll be back when they start running to get on a few

I did this same install but for the passenger side, took me all day. Only thing I did different was wire to the fuse box for power to the switch, since I don’t have aux switches.

It really is a massive pain of an install. I have something going on with my wiring now that I need to track down beause it wont turn on. Think I pulled something out of place when I moved the seat forward during our last move from CO to OR.

turns out my issue was blowing the cigarette lighter fuse thus rendering my switch useless. Not sure how it happened because I replaced the fuse and it works fine again. Must be too much for that little fuse so I may have to change the way I wired the switch in.

Thanks for sharing. Im about to tackle this job on my JT and putting under driver side as well. Wish me luck lol. I got all the wiring ready. But will run under thr carpet up to the firewall plug driver side somce i already have aux power through it. I just need to find the proper acc and light wires to tap splice.

Best of luck to you! Hopefully you learn from my mistakes and it goes smoothly for you. Are you planning on using rubber feet like I did on mine or are you running a gas JT? I’m jealous of your aux switches, I’m still running mine through The 12v

@@LifeOutdoors I have the gas engine. I may run rubber feet though. So I'm not having to drill through the body

@@yakitoriPB That was my thought too. Maybe the bracket will actually fit the Gas model as it is supposed to given its the same body up front as the JL.

@@LifeOutdoors I got it installed. No issues. Ran the ignition wire to the fuse box and gear illumination in the console for the blue illumination wire.

Nicely done! Did the feet of the mount end up matching with 4 mounting points?

Is it safe under the seat ?
I am trying to figure out where to mount mine

Its definitely safe and I would say its better in general because its protected from the elements and will stay cool with AC air as opposed to sucking in engine bay air.
