Just installed ARB compressor with ACM Bracket. Purchased all the components via links on this video. Everything arrived exactly as described. I have a 2021 JLUR with manual transmission. No clearance issues. No spacers required. Only installation issue encountered is we broke two plastic fender clips. Recommend you purchase some extras ahead of time. Thanks Eddie for designing the bracket and putting together a clear easily understandable video supported by written instructions.
Thank you for another lesson on Jeeps. Now I know how easy it is to take off a front fender. I am still going to tote around my compressor since I bought it just after buying the Jeep two years ago. It is interesting to watch your videos. Cindy must be recording since the angle of the shot changes constantly and keeps you and everything you want to show in the video. Great job Eddie and Cindy.
Man, I really appreciate you. Super detailed instructions on every project you do. Having never done any mechanic work on a vehicle, you make me feel confident that I can do this because you don’t skip steps in your vids or apply any BS to cover up what you may not know. It’s clear that you know exactly what you’re doing which helps folks like me take the plunge. Thanks again. Happy to use your affiliate links. Jerry.

What a great video! You have everything thought out and applied so perfectly. That was one complaint people had, was not being able to fit a compressor under the hood. Love your workaround and innovation! Thank you 👍🏻
Great explanatory video !! FYI - one thing an old timer taught me almost 30 years ago (now I'm an old timer lol), is to be careful cutting the ends off of the Zip Ties!! They look better and neater BUT, they are SHARP and can easily cut you. If it's in an area that no hands or arms will go, no problem BUT, if that sharp little cut end is exposed and in any area you may be tinkering with, maybe just loop the long ends around a few times and cover them with electrical tape. Thank you for what you do! 👍
Finally got around to doing the install using the kit I ordered and received months ago from you for my Gladiator! Other than not taking off the wheel (which you mentioned wasn't mandatory) I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly! took about 2 hours as I wanted things to remain tidy under the hood etc. ---- one thing to note for others looking at this kit plus items the ARB 1m 1/4 hose extension is no longer available on amazon (or more accurately the item shows none available! ) ---- Thanks again for such thorough instructions!
Just wrapped up this install today. Really happy with everything. I will say you should definitely buy a bag of extra fender clips, half of them snapped on me when removing the fender. I also had bad luck with ARB hose kit. It did not come with the T piece that attaches the pressure sensor. The house was also damaged. I bought that kit a few months ago so I am out of my return window for Amazon which is a bummer. Long story short, check for all parts and test everything. This tutorial was so helpful, install was a breeze. This is going to make airing up from the beach much easier and faster.
I finally installed my on board air today! Thanks Eddie for the great video! Few things I would recommend, buying extra fender clips (I salvaged half of mine after pulling it off), when installing the remote Chuck, install the 90 degree compression fitting first to avoid knuckle busting, and use aux 3 or 4 because those are only need 15 amps.
Just installed the ARB compressor with the ACM bracket. Like previous viewers I purchased all of the components from this video. A great video with very detailed instructions. Everything went well with one small exception. I have a 2021 JLUR and the lower stud was in a different location than the cutout on the ACM bracket. I had to make a small cutout about 1/2" to the right of the cutout. Extremely happy with the installation and performance of the system. Thanks for making a great video and products.
I'm sorry to hear that the ACM didn't just bolt right up but glad to hear you were able to make it work and that you're still happy with it. I'll have to give this a look.
perfect timing! have that same compressor in a bag in the back! time to buy your mount and the extension items and mount mine the same way! thanks for taking the time to make such a great howto !!
You may as well as claim me as a dependent lol I am definitely getting your mount and installing the onboard air compressor! I love watching your videos and customizing my Gladiator!
Excellent vid , people who might be new to DIY on rigs will be able to do the work even if they did not have much knowledge of how it all goes together before. It will ease their minds and let them see it's not brain surgery and there is no mystery in how it all goes in. Nice work.
Great instructional video. Just got done with lift, tires and rock lights. Have been contemplating where I’d place a compressor ... and you just answered it! Now I just need to figure out where to order your bracket Thanks!
I just saw a write-up quazi how-to for this mount last week - I do believe this is is now on my Need list... Just not THAT Air Supply... no one needs that EVER!! :-)
Thanks for a good Video. You're a good Teacher, I enjoy the details laid out with great communication. I hadn't considered purchasing a better compressor, let alone a fixed mounted one, but your opening comments sold me. Also, I totally agree on using a Torque Wrench on the lugnuts!
Jumped on the only one in stock when it was available - delivered in two days! Darn impressive. Install was almost exactly as shown - except the sensor line from the catalytic converter ran to a connector on the horizontal bracket - different than how it runs on yours- and was to short to keep the bracket sideways. Only way to get enough slack to clear the compressor was to bolt it back under to mount. Nut still fit and tightened up properly. Otherwise it went without a hitch. Thanks for providing a great, solid product.
This was so helpful for my install. Thanks for showing all you did!!! It made it so much easier for me to be sure I was following the manuals for my ecodiesel JL and the ARB compressor properly
Another top notch video production! Thanks for all you do for the community. Just replaced my tie rod and drag link with Synergy HD JT kit and Synergy track bar relocation/steering box kit after your last vid. Now it looks like I’ve another project. You’re killing me smalls!
Eddie, I got everything installed and cant tell you how much watching this video helped me. Great bracket and everything fit perfect. I did end up breaking 6 clips but I ordered the ones you had listed just in case. But there was a little trimming involved were the clips go in, I think the factory clips are a little narrow in the center were they slide in but everything worked out. I did run my air line on top of frame rail under power steering pump and did the same modification to the bracket you did and wow man, Perfect!! Just wish the ARB kit came with a dust cover for the Airport but I found one that will work. Thanks again man and will definitely order more stuff again.
@@wayalife I had such an internal argument on weather or not the video was going to go to Mega Cheesy Mode or not. Fortunately it was quickly squashed. 😄😄😎
Really liked the install video and the way you walk through things. Attention to detail is great and I really like the location of that mount. My wife really wants a JLU Wrangler Rubicon and I was curious where to put onboard air. Thanks for taking the time to push this video out.
Great video, great channel, your videos are all so very detailed and informative. NOTE to JLUR DIESEL OWNERS; the driver's side wheel well is where the windshield reservoir bottle lives, and it's a big one, and mounted in the same location as Wayalife's mod.. So unless you can find another place to mount an alternative washer reservoir and fittings, the ARB compressor will not fit in said wheel well. No, I have not looked at what is located in the passenger side area. Take care,
Awesome install but still a JK and TJ owner for now. You did a great job with the how to video and the bracket you designed is perfect clean and simple install.
Thanks for the help figuring those issues out i was able to get it put in do to your awesome video. There was no guess work involved. Just waiting to get a extension hose to be able to mount the chuck behind the front bumper. For now it works and is ok behind the tire.
Since I already have a twin compressor in my JK... guess I’ll be buying a JL so I can instill this very cool piece of kit. Very well done guys. I know making custom brackets like that so you can bring them to the public is both time consuming and exhausting. Happy new year!
Thanks for such a great video really well thought out and presented. My buddy and I ordered Everything we needed from your link and installed our systems on our Jeep’s yesterday. First one took a bit longer than the second (ha). Thanks again love the channel!
Awesome and I apologize for not having these available for sale right now. I'm on the road right now and unable to ship anything so I pulled everything out of stock. I should be shipping by mid week again though :)
Really enjoying the videos. Just ordered my first jeep. Getting the new diesel wrangler rubicon. All the videos have really helped in giving me an idea on what I need. Hoping to build it all out as soon as I get it or have Evolution build it. Keep up the vids.
just a tip, you should shrink tube all that wiring you did especially those solenoid plugs not currently being used and also buy some ratcheting wrenches. Harbor Freight made a set comparable to snap-on called Icon if you want to take a look!
Just purchased a “stars & stripes wayalife” hoodie in support of your channel. Definitely an awesome channel you guys are promoting. Would like to see more content...more often, thanks!
VERY comprehensive (yet concise) installation video, nothing we didn't need but EVERYTHING we did need to know. My question was why no locktite on the mounting bolts ~ not an issue? Love the "not that Air Supply", that was awesome. Your videos have gotten so good! Thank you for all your editing work and great information! Probably one of the best videos I've seen done, and it's very nice to know HOW to wire in the Aux switches (since Jeep won't tell you).
LOL!! Hey Katie, it was a pleasure meeting you even if only in passing. Nice JK you had too! Hope to see you around town or better yet, out on the trail :)
Wayalife - thanks she’s my husband’s baby 😂 we are actually moving out to Virginia in about three weeks for a new duty station. My husband just hit 17 years active duty Navy, we are currently stationed at NAS Fallon. My husband was disappointed he didn’t notice you 😂
8:43 Whispers, "okaaaaaay," under your breath. The good ol', 'Yup, now I can't remember anything that comes next, but that looks good,' okay. That one got me to chuckle.
Enjoyed you video. You guys do a great job and make it look fun. Guess I will use my old Smittybilt stored in the Jeep (taking up room) until it dies. Hope the Holidays were good for the two of you.
Sorry about being MIA. Last year was a very busy one for us and one that kept us on the road a lot. We decided we really needed to spend time with family over the holidays. Hope to get back into the swing of things from here on out.
Love your videos, I watch all of them and also from Northern Nevada. The only thing I noticed about the ARB wiring harness is that the fuse should be as close to the battery as possible, not across the engine bay. if a positive wire were to ground out between the battery and fuse you could potentially have a fire. You have an absolutely beautiful collection of Jeeps and your style of making and explaining your videos are excellent 👍
Since the AUX switch package has built in relays and fuses under the hood, why not simplify the installation by wiring the main power wire directly to one of the 40 amp circuits and eliminate the air compressor relay? You used a 12ga. 40A wire to power a low amp relay. That compressor only draws 14 amps.
Careful about the 14 amps have used an ARB compressor for the last 4 years and it melted the power supply plug to the motor, now changed to an Anderson plug and also melted the 40 amp relay, now changed to a 70 amp one. Not just my one other mates have had the same happen to theirs.
Because at the time, we thought we would be getting ARB air lockers in the Dana UD60's we now have. We wanted to just use the ARB wiring harness to make things easy and keep things clean.
Totally awesome and informative. I knew I liked Cindy and Eddie - awesome team with camera and videos. I want to let you know that you are appreciated and Thank You and please continue
We have a fair amount of mud and water on our off-road trails in NC. I slipped a 6” long sleeve from a cut off section of bicycle tube over the air chuck located behind the front bumper. I thought about sealing the end but decided to leave it open. You don’t even have to remove it from the chuck to insert or remove the hose. Keeps mud, water, and debris out of and off the chuck. A simple easy solution.
Glad you mentioned it only takes 2.5 minutes to air up from 15 - 30 psi on a 37 inch tire! Not bad at all. Being new to this world, one would think nothing less than the dual ARB air compressor would be worth having.
LOL - the twin is a bit faster but I think you'd be surprised at how little it really is. At least, from what I've seen. I used this setup to air up my 40's during the JL/JT Experience and found that I was finishing up about the same time as everyone else, every single time.
Eddie/Cindy I really enjoy your vlogs!! Great content, editing and all around fun to watch. And I also have that habit of doing every job on my Jeep myself :) Keep it going guys !!!!
@@wayalife Yeah, I had to push those ABS pipes a bit to make more space so I was able to squeeze it in and rotate compressor to far right. I knew it would take more effort than regular (not 4xe) JLU, but there isn’t much space anywhere in the car (not counting passenger seat) :)
Just don't forget the wires on that cluster are also on the inside under the glove box one more thing if you don't want to use the supplied relay and fuse the bigger two wires are on a 40A fuse and a relay and there are plenty of grounding jeep did a good job with this feature
Excellent video and clean install for the Compressor. Very impressive. Im currently lugging around a portable compressor but this is an attractive alternative, especially if I go with ARB locker in the rear. I have an elocker in my PR44 but my M220 has the trackloc, and I’ve been waiting for a rear elocker for the M220 for over a year.
Sorry but no. The whole purpose of mounting the ARB under the hood is to get it OUT from inside the Jeep. I really hate having to hear it running inside the cabin. Also, we get plenty of snow where we live and it's never been an issue.
@@wayalife Fair enough. Thanks to your video I might give a try. You made it look easy enough. I was just worried about it over heating in the summer or getting destroyed by salt and moisture in the winter. Thanks.
@@michaelhalstead64 I live in Nevada and it can get very hot in the summer. I've not had any problems with the compressor being located here. We don't have salted roads but so long as you keep your fender liners in place, I would think your compressor would be protected from it.
I’ve been on your channel for a while now and decided to subscribe. I like your Jeeps and your up dates on your off road gear. Nice stuff, interesting. No don’t have a Jeep. But I like this
Just installed this setup on my jlu rubicon. I ordered the heat shield but could not install it as there was another wire in the way that I could not get around. But in all very happy with the install.
I really am sorry to hear that you weren't able to install the heat shield. I'm not sure what wire you're referring to but would love to address this if I can. Would you mind telling me what what year JL you have as well as engine? Thank you.
Okay, I was only able to test it out on a JL and JT with a 3.6L. I assumed that it would work on a 2.0L being that the ACM can be installed on it too. I apologize for the trouble. Please reach out to me at store @ wayalife . com and I will be happy to send you a refund for it. If there's any chance you could send me a photo of what the problem was, I'd be super grateful.

Really happy to hear it and congratulations on ordering up your first Jeep :)
just a tip, you should shrink tube all that wiring you did especially those solenoid plugs not currently being used and also buy some ratcheting wrenches. Harbor Freight made a set comparable to snap-on called Icon if you want to take a look!
Very detail explanation, proper tools you have.. nice video bro
Glad you liked it! 😎
Just purchased a “stars & stripes wayalife” hoodie in support of your channel. Definitely an awesome channel you guys are promoting. Would like to see more content...more often, thanks!
Thank you, we really do appreciate your support and we'll do our best to get more content up :)
Man that was one hell of install video! Now to order everything up and watch the video again! Thanks!
Awesome! So glad to hear our video was helpful to you 😎
Dude, can't wait for your next adventure. The east coast one was very good.
So glad to hear you enjoyed it :)
Great install video.
Thanks for putting the work in for everyone else's benefit.
Glad to help
VERY comprehensive (yet concise) installation video, nothing we didn't need but EVERYTHING we did need to know. My question was why no locktite on the mounting bolts ~ not an issue? Love the "not that Air Supply", that was awesome. Your videos have gotten so good! Thank you for all your editing work and great information! Probably one of the best videos I've seen done, and it's very nice to know HOW to wire in the Aux switches (since Jeep won't tell you).
You're too kind and we're truly flattered you would say as much. Thank you.
Just call them like I see them (good and bad) @@wayalife. Very impressed with your growth over the last year, keep it up.
Saw you at Lowe’s recently in Carson, shouted hey in the parking lot!
My husband was disappointed he didn’t notice you 😂
Well that's disappointing that I missed your husband and that the two of you are leaving just after we met.
Very cool. The mount design is very clean. Great job.
Thank you, glad you like it :)
Thank you, we're so glad you enjoyed our video and hope you have a wonderful New Year!
Man its been too long Eddie we freaking missed you,and cindy too.Great videos as always.
Sorry about being MIA. Last year was a very busy one for us and one that kept us on the road a lot. We decided we really needed to spend time with family over the holidays. Hope to get back into the swing of things from here on out.
You made that look so clean and easy. Great video
LOL - honestly, it really is that easy to install :)
Great video. One of the best how to diy videos I’ve seen so far!! So easy to follow!! Will be ordering soon!!
Thanks.
Thank you. Glad to hear we've been able to help you :)
i was enjoying that flashback, thank you very much! 😅
Seriously though, top notch tutorial Eddy!
LOL - glad you were able to figure this was filmed a while ago. Been cracking me up that so many people have been thinking this was a new JT :)
Very cool, thanks for the tip
I installed this mount and compressor a bit ago. I love it and it works great thank you!!
Awesome!! So glad to hear you're happy with yours :)
What a great bit of kit! Nicely done on the bracket 👍👌
Thank you! Glad you like what you see :)
Now thats a clean install
Thank you :)
And just like that my list extends again.. Thanks!
LOL - so glad that we could be of help to you :)
Eddie/Cindy I really enjoy your vlogs!! Great content, editing and all around fun to watch. And I also have that habit of doing every job on my Jeep myself :) Keep it going guys !!!!
Awesome! Thank you! So glad you enjoy our videos 😎
I was wondering where you went Eddie and Cindy. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
LOL - just took some time off to spend it with family. Happy New Year.
Great how-to video! You make everything look easy. 👍🏻
LOL - thank you but if you follow the steps I show in this video, it really is that easy.
I don't seed easy is litle hard.Is more better pay to do it
Thank you. Just finished that on 4xe Rubicon. It was tight but doable... :)
Really, it worked? I wasn't sure if it would and have been wanting to know. Thank you for posting this up!!! 👍
I looked at mine today, and it is difficult to do this without damaging the lines. Can you provide more info, pics? forum post with more details?
Thank you and I hope you're able to find a solution to you rear axle sooner than later.
Good video Eddie and Cindy clean and simple.
Thank you. We're glad you enjoyed it :)
Awesome video. Thanks Eddie. Any chance you will make a mount for inside the JL? I'm hesitant to mount outside in a winter climate.
But I like this
LOL - truly flattered to hear you like our videos and enough to subscribe to our channel even though you don't have a Jeep :)
Glad to see you back on the tube Eddie. .was wondering where you went ! Happy New Year!
Thank you. Happy New Year to you as well.
Thank you.
@@wayalife its a 2021 JLU Rubicon with 2.0 engine.
