The fact people are getting hyped about this blows my mind. Noone seems to be thinking about that fact that the only reason all this is carrying over is because this isnt a new game. It was an expansion for MW2. Activision has everyone fooled into thinking theyre doing something cool for the community when in reality theyve repackaged all the MW3 content as a 70 dollar full game. Expanding on the family weapon tree system and the previous system of caliber swaps would be great too. Restricting magazines and barrels with caliber swaps would keep balance and authenticity. .300 black out should have a super sonic option.
If you don't like MW2 why on earth would you see this as cool? Because this 100% confirms that MW3 will be the exactly same as it includes same design to of course transition things over. Meaning it will be just as bad.
I'm still waiting for the small fine print that says (subject to change). If zombies outbreak is actually included in MWIII I hope they include weapon challenges to unlock new weapons and a nice camo like dark aether.
Two things.. 1. As Ace pointed out, one big potential downside will be if these MWII weapons are there day one at whatever levels they were for that particular player in MWII. Meaning that many players may have max level MWII weapons with all attachments unlocked, meanwhile those that skipped MWII but decide to get MWIII will have nothing but base level guns with no attachments. That will objectively be about as unbalanced and unfair as it gets on launch day. 2. Idk who needs to hear this but Exo Zombies was actually fantastic.

There has already been 34 leaked guns that will launch with mwIII. Their will be a total of 72 mwII guns by the end of the life cycle. Im expecting at minimum 34 mwIII guns and at maximum 50. Probably somewhere in between around 40. Confirmed guns are the ACR 5.56, QBZ 95, G36, F2000, Ak101, CZ Bren 5.56, CZ Bren 7.62, ACR 450, Sig Spear XM5, CZ Bren DMR, SL8 (G36 gun family), ACR DMR, SVK, KVB 73 (unknown gun), AR 50, MSR, SVCh, MG36, PKM, PKP, QBZ 95 LSW, FN Evolys, RSh 12, M93 Rafrica, glock 21, Mini Uzi, spas12, Striker12, colt 9mm, uzi, scorpion evo, LWRC 45, and ump9 (with possible 45 acp conversion).
If you would be getting confused by weapons that are MWII and weapons that are MWIII and require separate tabs to know which is which, that's a concern
I have to say that I'm happy with how the map Strike came out on season 5. If SHG just release updated versions of all the OG MW2 and MW 3 maps and weapons with some new designed maps sprinkled in I might bite. At least we'd know the maps would be good. But they have to make the perk system encourage movement and the kill streaks need to be the best of and loop.
I hated every single thing in MW2 so to hear that any of that trash is being carried forward is an instant NO to buying this one. I’ll stick to MW2019 and the oldies

There’s a lot of things that I wanna know with this new Mw3
They should have just did a community fan vote to pick the top 15 weapons to keep and carry over to mw3 excluding melee and launchers. But hey if they want to drop with 120 weapons they must already balanced their weapons around the mw2 ones so there may not be to many issues week 1
So this game will not have a regular launch week where everyone starts with default classes and moves to creating his own class with level 1 weapons? People now will be able to start right off with the most op weapons from the previous cod? I skipped mw2 and I'll skip this one as well so I don't know if this is true
This goes along with, aside from sbmm, the difference between newer cods and older cods gameplay. On older cods you see variety because people like to prestige and start off again with most of the weapons and perks locked. On newer cods, when you unlock everything you are done, you might as well use only the meta weapons
I don't get why MW3 can't be a DLC with fixes to the game instead of making it a $70 game with the same stuff. I'm glad content that you bought will carry over but it is not enough to make me want to drop another $70 atm.

I am liking the new opening music !!
Sledgehammer WWII Games: "Basically all MWII content will be useable in the Paid DLC... Sorry, we meant this year's full "Premium" Call of Duty release known as MWIII"
"Let's make DLC for our game and then release it as an entirely new game!"-CoD and Overwatch.
Overall I like how Sledgehammer did WW2. There were all the events for the different holidays. Community HQ was pretty cool. There was always something to grind for. Even if it was for Drops to try and get something good.
Tool shot after every time you said MW and now I’m going to jail 😂😂
so will the operator/camo we get even after the mw3 official release still get carry over to mw3? or they only count camo/operator we got before the mw3 release?
So basically this game is the “dlc” that we were supposed to get its a $70 DLC marketed as a new game by different devs
Did anything from MW19 transfer to MW2?
Wait then so if we unlocked and maxed out certain weapons like the taq then wouldn’t it be pointless to use them
Will our prestige levels carry over?
I love how…..they did this with black ops…..vanguard…… when MW came
out all the older COD weapons were available to use….except the challenges and camos etc etc
does this mean its worth leveling up all the guns currently in mw2?
