Black ops 3 is so bad on PS3/Xbox 360 it made people forget about AW on those systems, it's funny too because AW is somehow more playable and runs better than BO3 on those consoles
I can confirm this, I wasn’t able to afford an Xbox One so I was stuck on last gen until I got a Laptop in 2020. My last COD was AW and I loved it tbh, it was my second biggest grind on cod behind BO2.
Most people don’t realize that not everyone could afford to upgrade to next gen consoles, and for many people, myself included, this was our only way to experience this game. And the fact that I can still find lobbies for both multiplayer and zombies so easily just shows how dedicated the fan base was and how many people truly don’t care about graphics if the game is fun to play
If you can’t afford a next gen console after two years that’s kinda sad. You have at most had to spend $500, if that. Thats saving at most $20 a month.
If I recall correctly, the reason they changed the drop icon from Cthulhu to the giant was because the icon was a stollen asset that they grabbed without the artist's permission. It was found out and 3arc had it removed.
BO3 was horribly optimized period on all platforms. I remember on high textures was needing something like 8 gigs of vram making the game choppy as hell.
My step dad got this one on ps3 and he said it was ok on his prime , but a month after he got the ps4 so that was an Improvement, I still play the ps4 version sometimes
Unironically have a lot of time on last gen BO3 and still occasionally go back to it. I was literally even able to somehow find a public match on DE just a few days ago on stream. Mainly just played zombies but I do know the MP experience had a wildly different meta that wasn't even just a snapshot of pre patch weapon balancing. Aside from the obvious brecci spam, the meta of last gen BO3 was actually akimbo LCAR 9s due to how recoil patterns worked. Zombies has a ton of small differences like pre patch haymaker, blast furnace, storm bow. KRM has a completely different reload compared to current gen, ragnaroks last twice as long, last gen exclusive trophies such as an "awaken the gazebo" style trophy and the 20+ different ray gun skins that I've come across in my time playing. This game truly is a time capsule

I did prestige like three or four times, been a while since I have booted it up on Xbox 360, but I had a decent time on it. I was late to the party for the Xbox One version, so I still have weapons to level up and other multiplayer stuff that will go untouched besides Zombies now 🤷🏾♂️
Would love to see you go back to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Ghosts and Advanced Warfare! Some leakers online were saying a while ago that COD 2026, along with the launch of 'Warzone 3', it will be current-gen only.
Kinda wild how people could say "just buy a new console". As if people never thought of that. I just got my 360 as a kid in 2013, there was no way that 2years later I'd get a new console. I had to wait till 2019 to get it
Guessing they had to give up a lot graphically just to let it run . I'm not a developer but I'm guessing a lot of back end stuff took a lot of resources. It's crazy though that zombie maps from waw to bo2 all looked so much better than last gen bo3 maps.
I remeber back in late 2019-late 2021 i was always playing the 360 version and i didnt realize how horrible the game looks and feels now. its crazy how a previous cod port looks BETTER than bo3. they couldnt even add a bit of lighting to atleast mask how stinky it looks.

I find it so shocking that BO3 last gen got DLC. But the Wii U version of BO2 didn’t get DLC. Even tho the Wii U was brand new at the time and was on par with the X360 and PS3 versions.
