Thanks to you, Ms. Speier, and all the other men and women who have fought to get these critical measures passed. I was bitterly disappointed as a young girl in the 1970s when the ERA didn’t pass, it’s long overdue, 98 years, to be exact. About half of all American women have experienced male violence. I was one of the small percentage who reported it, went through the demoralizing experience of his trial, and the multitudes of his other victims were then discovered. He’s now in prison.

What about the Violence Against Women Athletes Act? Connecticut allows boys who must be girls to compete against girls. Two of them took 15 state titles that were previously held by 9 different girls in 2016. In 2019 alone, those 2 took 11 of 12 high school girls' state championship track titles. Women voters are very powerful on issues they care about. Do they care? Better hurry, or our supreme dictators will decide the issue.
