“What’s it like driving with a five inch?” Something truck drivers get asked too often, whether it’s about the exhaust or... well, never mind
I actually don’t mind it. I have a 5” flowpro on my 6.7 Cummins and I like it. It’s quieter than the smoke stack I had prior as that was loud in the cab. The exhaust brake whistle on a chilly day sounds like a damn jet engine in my driveway but I like it lol

I was at my local Ford dealership going over some F-150's I wanted. That was until a customer drove in with his F250. I absolutely have no use for one but damn it I want one. Now I'm stuck lol

Love my 2016 6.7 powerstroke with the 5” flo pro , if you get on it like you said it screams . If you put the exhaust brake on going down a hill it sounds amazing

Them higher trim trucks have so much cab insulation on them so it’s not even bad on the inside
I only get a cab drone at one certain rpm, and it happens to be around 45mph with my specific hardware and tuning setup on my 2012. But, honestly, I don’t mind it. I like being able to hear the vehicle I’m driving. If I get sick of hearing it, I turn the stereo up.
The only vehicle I’ve never driven that got annoyingly loud was my 1996 F-250 with a 7.5L v8 with 6 or 7 inch stacks right behind the cab. (Yes I know gasser with stacks. Previous owner did it) It’s an amazing sounding truck, but it has very tall gearing, so it sits at a pretty high rpm on the highway, and boy does it drone. That was annoying because I had to completely blast the stereo to get up over the drone.
I have a 5 inch mbrp to a 8 inch axle dump on my 18 f350 and love it, the only downside is when im pulling a 40 foot gooseneck with my tractor and another down side I blew the transmission when I put a bigger turbo on it
The 17s and newer look bad ass. I love my 15 build I am starting but love the 17s and up

Correct me if I'm wrong - but I think the "platinum" edition super duty has the most sound dampening for the cab. This might be quite a bit louder on an XLT or Lariat...
Michael Nowotny i have a 5" on my 16 lariat and its really quiet in the cab WAY quieter than i thought it would be
My twin turbo 6.4 is straight piped 5 inch exhaust system 8 inch tip. Love my truck I drive it commercially start love the sound
You're brave driving a deleted truck commercially. Company here just got a $30,000 fine for having deleted trucks in their fleet.

I have a 2016 f-350 dually with 5" off the down tube back. Sounds the same which I love.
I've got Flo Pro 5" on my 07 6.0 and it's not crazy bad. 900-1000 rpm the drone can get annoying but it's not always in that rpm range
Hey my husband said if u will hold your traction control and wait for it to pop up on dash it will show advance traction control off and that turns all the traction control off
I love driving next to one of these straight piped diesels with large exhaust when my kid is trying to sleep in the car. It makes for a such a wonderful day.

@@SpectrumSpectacle It still can't tow? You realize the entire world is going electric soon right? Have you seen the Tesla big rig? All gas and diesel engines will be obsolete in the next decade. I have built old Lincolns with 430ci V8s to Pontiac WS6 Trans Ams with LS engines. You can see them mixed amongst the vids on my TH-cam channel. My point is that it is unnecessary for anyone to straight pipe ANY vehicle. It just reinforces how small of a dick you have if you're truly that eager for attention. Remember the South Park episode with the Harley guys?
turbo is very quit not like my 2003 6.0 with my silverline 4 turbo back exhaust sounded like a jet, had to put the banks on it to be sane.
I run a 5” straight on my 2015; I had an axle dump with a 10” tip on it for a bit but I did notice a drone around 67-68mph. Not too obnoxious at all and when I put the stock exit back on it there was no drone at all

Yea. 2016 6.7 5in FloPro. Really not bad. Sounds great in the cab going down the road. Love the tone.

Love the 5” on my 15 Cummins sounds awesome but I do get a pretty bad drone when pulling my travel trailer at certain RPM. It’s worse for people in back seat AKA my kids.

Sounds amazing. Doesn't sound offensive to people on the street. Do you have a stock Ford air filter or have you changed it to a "performance" one? Ever considered Archoil additives for the Powerstroke engine?
The 6.7 does not benefit from it like the 6.0 would... Just good oil is fine for the 6.7

It almost sounds like my 6.0 with the 5" MBRP Turbo-Back with stock cat still mounted. Very calm on the inside but a roaring lion on the outside. That's perfect! Thinking of upgrading to a 2018 or newer alumi-duty 6.7, getting tired of the coolant puking everytime when running tunes.
i still got my 6.0 not running anymore hopefully rebuilding the motor soon lifter gave out. just recently bought a 2019 Platinum... well worth it even though i got a huge discount and bought pre owned. Pucker your butthole for 1000 dollar plus truck payment. unless you got that money to throw at the problem. its not deleted yet. bank declined me for a lariat asking was 72 it was deleted and lifted already. but retail on it is like 65 bank said no. then i found a Platinum half the miles same year just not deleted. for 64. and retails 88. bank said hell yes.
@@justnsaliga8518 good score man. Yeah it seems like about the only thing my 6.0 is good for is daily driving, long travels and occasionally light hauling/towing. Can't run tunes on it without it puking coolant. Learned my lessons since getting it in 2010 that with my 6.0 is a gamble. You either have great roaring lion that has the power capability or greater than a big block.. or you end up with more hurdles than one can comprehend. Nevertheless it runs and drives.
Alls I gotta say man is if your dealing with a 6.0 like I've been.. at the end of the day crack a cold one. It'll help relieve some of that 6.0 pain & strain. Don't start before working on a 6.0 because it may not end well.
Plus once you get it back up and running again man to help limit soot clogging on the vanes of the turbo and keep the exhaust valves/cylinders/exhaust system cleaned out try what I've used. There's a company called New South Diesel and look up their TK-7 additive. The stuff isn't cheap for good reason. Every time I've used it in mine it cleans up the injectors and everything from the combustion chambers aft. Bumps up power response and fuel efficiency. There's videos here on TH-cam of demonstrations of what the TK-7 does when it burns and compared to other common additives. Just a little help out from one 6.0 driver to another. And to answer the question if it can be used in your 6.7 the answer is no. It's meant for 2007 and older diesel powered vehicles.

I have a deleted 2016 6.7 powerstroke. I completely agree. Nothing compares to the sound of a 6.0

I was thinking about running some QTP cutouts for my diesel 6.7 Cummins with 4 in. pipe exhaust, because I like to run from Quiet to Riot sometimes. I wonder if they make such cutouts that will handle the heat.

I have 2011 with 5 inch exhaust, I barely hear anything with windows up and no drones but windows down are ridiculous loud lol

Maybe it's just the video, but it sounds pretty loud. It sounds louder today than it normally does. Is that because you normally have the windows rolled up or the way it's recorded? Sound awesome don't get me wrong, but it was even a little hard to hear you.
