They are getting quieter as well. The current setup I have is perfect. Exactly what I wanted, which was between a stock cummins sound and a stock powerstroke sound!

Sounds great and looks fairly easy. Have a 2019 f350 and want to get rid of the Def and add some sound but nervous of losing my warranty with over 100kmiles left on it.

Nice sound and setup... SPE has some quality hard parts improved over OEM design. Their CCV catchcan is good to go - took advantage of the sale in November.
What are the benefits gained after installing the CCV catch can?
I’m on the fence with mine only because of the warranty. 2020 F250 I’m only at 5k miles AND I just topped off my DEF too. I will be tuning in to future videos for the awesome muffler sounds.

I have a 2020 also. I can’t find anywhere that has the tuning for the 2020+ f250 trucks. Ford changed up the motor and ecm on the 2020 model. Everywhere I’ve looked it’s 2017-2019 tunes.

That is for the update on the Shibby kit...been running same nitrile glove &zip tie combo. Engine bay heat has no mercy on nitrile. Will be ordering the shibby kit soon. Just replaced my 17s orig oem batts 2 weeks ago. Same corrosion on both sides. Hit with some rust converter and reinstalled with walmart max everararts grouo 65 850 coca at $88 ea.

Wow this is turning to quite the cool project rig of yours everything you've done is in great taste. Not tacky and trying to prove your manhood. In the future when you get it all dialed in inside and out do you plan on doing a before and after pics. To really show off your enhanced rig. Would like to know the fuel mpg gains over stock. And have been kinda keeping track of that or just drive and enjoy 😉. Cheers man looking good going into the new year with rig.
Thanks Bryan! Everything that I have done so far has been thought over well in advance prior to pulling the trigger and following through with modifications. Additionally, I have taken plenty of photos and have tracked every mile on fuelly. I haven't seen too many mpg gains so far because I am still in amused in the power gains lol. The go pedal loves to be pushed! But once I get over the power and sound gains, the mpg will flourish. Stay tuned!

To all who are concerned about warranties: just delete the truck. All the problems that you’ll have will be emissions related. Guaranteed. Get rid of the problem before it becomes one.

What kind of MPG increase did you see with this modification? Power, Torgue, can you hear and feel a difference worth 2K?
Not much significant mpg increase. The $$$ was worth it to me
Trying too get a delete and tune for a stock 17’ yu think the auto agent 3 is just as good as the 2 .
I'll be honest, I don't know jack shit about the auto agent 3. The 2 was solid though.
Cool deal, but doesn't that void the warranty? Will you put it back to stock when you go to trade it in? Dealer told me they won't give you squat for a deleted truck.
Depends on the dealer and how they plan to sell it. Send it to auction or sell it on their lot

The cheaper ones don’t include any tunes, the more expensive ones include tunes from companies

why do you need to plug in the battery tender for?
Im using sct, so basically you can put the delete tune before you remove the dpf right? And then later take off the dpf?
As a best practice, install the tune to ensure it downloaded successfully first. Then remove DPF if you choose to.
Finally letting freedom ring hahahaha, quick question I just installed the s&b open intake last night and was wondering if you saw any mileage gains with yours?
By the way I'm running 5" and absolutely love it, 4" has a raspy tone and the 5 is a lot deeper either way your good to go.

@@MotorHead18 no drone till around 1800 and up, even then its not like a 5" on a cummins lol u can still have a conversation with your wife....if your into that sorta thing 😆 I think 5" on a 6.7 powerstroke is perfect, don't even know notice it till you start playing around then it'll start to scream.

What about the hose with the DEF, what did you do with that?
Tunes take care of it but ended up unplugging it 3 months later for no reason. Then I deleted the egr completely. Didn’t do a damn thing with def hoses

What tune do you have? If I’m following correctly, the EZ Lynk is only the device that allows you to download the tune onto the ECM? Then you buy a tune separately?
The ezlynk is just the tuner, now you need tuning/tunes

Once you got into the app how did you know what to download from the TCM files?
I knew with the higher hp ecm tune I wanted to use, that I needed a higher pressure TCM tune. So there were a few high pressure tunes to choose from.

Great info, thanks for sharing. Using a tripod would be nice though, the video has a ton of movement which can cause headaches and nausea in many viewers. UP to 33% of people get motion sick.

How much was the tur and the 5" exhaust I'm gonna be doing this to my 2019 here soon looking for the best tune in your opinion and just some advice on what would be good to do as far as full egr and dpf delete or just dpf and unplug the egr
Roughly $1500. I initially just unplugged egr, and it was fine but eventually deleted egr

If you need to put this back on for warranty can the dealership see in your computer that it was changed?
I would say probably. To be honest, I think the fordpass app does more tracking than what we think it does with the trucks ECM. But the truck has been running flawlessly ever since. Now a days, the technology and electronics in our vehicles serve as insurance for the manufacturer when it comes to warranty claims. Either way, I don't care lol.
Yes once it’s flashed the dealership will know no matter if you put it back stock. But hey they don’t warranty the dpf filter and my buddies plugged at 35,000 miles and the filter is $5,000.00. So he deleted it. Hope that helps. I have a 2019 with 30k on it that I’m lookin to delete

When you install the new ECM and TCM software, can you revert back to factory tuning when you go to trade the truck in / sell it?
Also, do you have to have the EZ LYNK device plugged into the OBD port all of the time or can you just push the software and remove until you want to change the tune again?
Yeah you can return it to stock tuning. You can keep the ez lynk plugged in for monitoring or remove it and be just fine
No doubt the removing the factory exhaust will gain some HP that you can feel by the seat of your pants but to say 200HP in gains sounds like voodoo science. I'm not buying it until someone can do a before/after dyno test to prove the actual results. There is another video on another channel that had an ECU done with everything else remaining stock and not removed from the 6.7 truck. They claimed 606 wheel HP but failed to realize the 475 HP stated by Ford is crank HP. so the claimed 200HP increase was not even right as they're comparing wheel HP to crank HP!! Again- no dyno test to prove it!!!
The latex glove, dielectric grease and zip ties for termination of the removed electrical plugs will fail when the latext fails - like you pointed out, just buy the real mating electrical connector for use as terminations.

@@LWRC Ford engineers didn't tune like the aftermarket tuners do. Are you new to the automotive world? Have you seriously never heard of the gains you can get from aftermarket tuning a turbo-diesel motor? Especially when also deleting the smog equipment. Google a bit and educate yourself.

Now, let's get back to the tuning part. The truck market is hyper competitive and the engineers at Ford, or any other company, have to balance performance vs. durability, vs. cost. That's a pretty delicate balancing act. They will not leave that much on the table for the backyard aftermarket hack to take advantage of. That's not to say they can't but you don't know how close to the edge of the envelope you are playing with! Only the engineers that designed it do. I seriously doubt any aftermarket tuners have design data from Ford nor any other manufacturer. Gains can be had but not that much. I see this in the sports car market all the time and know this better than you.
