  • Bell’s Palsy is often caused by a viral infection that causes the muscles in the face to lose strength. This can cause facial paralysis, sensation issues and trouble swallowing, blinking and much more. Today, Dr Alison Wu is sharing the progression she’s teaches her patients with Bell’s Palsy to slowly help regain correct sensation and get the facial muscles working again!

I was just diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. I am 66 yrs old and I gotta tell you, this is unnerving (lol no pun intended!) I cannot close the affected eye and get dry eye badly so have had to place gauze taped down and wear an eye patch to keep it secured. I am going to do these exercises and will follow-up with my results as l improve. I got this!! Thank you Dr for providing this awesome video.

Well Bell's palsy recovery is a time-consuming process, I got it in mid of Oct 2023, and in 4-5 months I recovered almost 99%....Dr explained a very useful exercise in the video. Please be patient, consult with your primary Dr and physiotherapist, and give time to your muscles for recovery because it always takes time. Recovery time is different for every person but 1 month to 4 months mostly people can recover.

Hi, im Bruce, im 59. At 9:52 pm June 3rd my vision became blurry followed by double vision, body sweats, excessive vomiting then the right side of my face was paralyzed. June 4th at 11:00am I was rushed to the hospital and by 12:30pm I was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy. Not a stroke thank God. Today is June 18th. I can see straight. I can walk. My left ear is sore and sounds kinda hurt, my right side of my face is still 95% paralyzed but I'm improving every day. From what I've read this can all relapse in 10 years. Let's all keep in contact with our progress.
